Hope's attention was drawn to the next student, a tall, lanky guy with glasses and a shy demeanor.
"I'm Li Min,"
He began nervously.
"I'm a computer science major, and I've developed several apps that are being used by our university. I specialize in AI and machine learning."
A young woman with a serious expression stepped forward next.
"I'm Wang Mei, majoring in mechanical engineering. I've been involved in several research projects, including the development of a new type of robotic arm."
Another student, a muscular guy with an air of confidence, introduced himself next.
"I'm Chen Hui, majoring in cybersecurity. I've participated in several hackathons and have experience in securing network infrastructures. I'd like to contribute to your company's efforts in creating secure systems."
The introductions continued, with each student showcasing their unique skills and backgrounds.
Hope listened attentively, mentally noting who might be a good fit for her rapidly growing company which was practically everyone.
"I'm Liu Xiang,"
Said a young woman with bright eyes.
"I'm majoring in environmental science. I'm particularly interested in how Apex Industries can integrate sustainable practices into its technology."
A bespectacled young man with a calm demeanor stepped forward.
"My name is Sun Ji. I'm an electrical engineering major. I've been working on renewable energy solutions and believe my expertise could benefit Apex Industries' projects."
One by one, the students presented their qualifications and enthusiasm for joining Apex Industries.
As Hope listened, the more cocky her smirk became, to think just weeks ago she was a good for nothing bum yet now there were people lying up In droves just so they could work for her.
After all the introductions, Hope addressed the group.
"Thank you all for your interest and impressive introductions. Apex Industries is indeed looking for talented individuals who are passionate about technology and innovation. We'll review your resumes and contact you for interviews soon."
The students cheered, excited about the possibility of joining such a groundbreaking company which was all the rage currently.
Meanwhile, I stood behind Hope, keeping a watchful eye on the crowd. I noticed the curious glances and hushed conversations as people speculated about the dropship and our team.
"Did you see that thing land?
It's like something out of a sci-fi movie Apex Industries must also be researching and developing In the military sector I bet they brought It out for advertisement"
One man said to his friend.
"Yeah, and those guys look like they came from a sci-fi movie maybe they also creating real life supersoldiers"
The friend replied.
As the day went on, more and more people flocked to our booth.
By the end of the day, we had gathered a substantial list of potential recruits. Hope despite her heavy augmentations looked exhausted but pleased with the results.
"Alright It's finally time for the banquet"
Hope said as she stood up and stretched her body lazily.
"So what's this about you being a senior?"
I asked as we walked to the banquet hall with my men following behind us In two rows wherever we went people parted Instantly after all how couldn't they?
"Oh, that? I used to study at this university before dropping out"
Hope said nonchalantly.
We entered the banquet hall, a grand space filled with representatives from various corporations and university students, all eager to socialize, make deals, and forge possible partnerships.
The atmosphere was electric with the buzz of conversation, the clinking of glasses, and the exchange of business cards.
Because the majority of the corporations that came to recruit were still in the start-up phase, their operations differed substantially.
Among these companies, the bright star at the center of attention was Apex Industries, not many companies could draw such significant publicity in the initial stages after all who could boast that they developed an AI that Is at least 10-20 years ahead of Its time.
What shocked many, however, was that the rising star of this new company was only a 20 year old dropout from the university.
The student recruiting office had already begun to consider potential advertisements for the next school year despite the semester just starting.
Without a doubt, Hope would be the poster child aka the golden girl, displayed as a distinguished and successful businessman and aluminum even though she never got a certificate.
Which would be easily warped Into a load of crap of Hope being too smart so that's why she dropped out.
After the principal's opening remarks, people already began to approach Hope before the student representative had a chance to announce the start of the banquet.
Hope was quickly surrounded by people, each trying to make their pitch.
"Miss Apex, our company would like to offer a 40% stake in our latest tech startup in exchange for a partnership with Apex Industries,"
One businessman proposed, his eyes gleaming with ambition.
"Sorry, but we're not looking to take on such a large stake in any external projects at the moment,"
Hope replied politely but firmly.
Another approached, a woman with a broad smile and an overly enthusiastic demeanor. "Hope, darling, how about an exclusive contract to supply your company with our top-of-the-line software solutions? We can offer you a significant discount."
Hope sighed inwardly but maintained her composure.
"Thank you for the offer, but we already have our software needs covered."
The offers kept coming, each more ridiculous than the last. A man in a flashy suit offered to name an entire division of his company after her if she agreed to a partnership. Another promised to double her current assets if she invested in his latest venture.
Hope handled each with grace, though it was clear she was getting tired of the endless barrage.
Finally, as the banquet was winding down, she met Lang Xi, looking at the young woman in front of her with long loose hair and light makeup, Hope was confused since she couldn't recall who this person was.
"Who are you?"
"Pshhh, that day in the hospital."
The girl covered her mouth.
"Oh, you are Lang Xi right?"
Hope finally realized.
"Yeah one and only, what? You can't recognize me with makeup?"
Lang Xi asked jokingly.
"Yeah sorry about that Its been a long day."
Hope smiled apologetically because even though she now had a heavily augmented body she was still not used to It after all normally a cosmic marine would slowly transform over a few years but her system made that process Instantaneous which meant her mind and brain were still adapting to her new body.
"Senior Hope a genius who cured cancer and introduced artificial intelligence can you satisfy my curiosity?"
Lang Xi asked with a sly smile.
"It depends on the question"
Hope said while narrowing her eyes.
"Hahaha"
Lang Xi burst out in laughter, which confused Hope since she didn't know what was so funny.
"Don't worry, I'm not trying to steal youre trade secrets, I'm just acting as the reporter of our universities news club with the Intent to Interview one of our distinguished alumni, I hope you don't mind."
Lang Xi asked with puppy eyes.
"Alright then ask away"
Hope said as she crossed her arms and raised her chin after all she had been flattered all day long nonstop.
"Alright then let's start, first, your university life."
Lang Xi took out a notepad and a pen out of her purse and began to ask her questions.
Because it was not relevant information Hope answered casually, the interview lasted for five minutes.
"Thanks for the Interview I'm really surprised that youre a dropout anyways my father wants to see you, so please pick a time to meet him."
Lang Xi asked as she returned her notepad and pen to her purse.
"Fine, I'll take some time out from my schedule, anything else?"
