Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: The Risk Level Is Quite High

"Spirit of the heavens, spirit of the earth, may the divine powers assist me, let's see what kind of technique this is." Lin Fan prayed in his heart, hoping it wouldn't be a useless technique.

"Invisibility Technique." As Lin Fan saw the description in the technique column, his heart began to race.

This Invisibility Technique allowed one to become invisible. Normally, invisibility wouldn't be very useful because those with profound cultivation could sense auras and distinguish enemies even with their eyes closed.

However, for Lin Fan, this was a divine skill. With his system, his aura was internalized and not emitted. No matter how high a person's cultivation was, they couldn't detect Lin Fan's presence.

For others, this technique was quite useless, merely a gimmick to fool ordinary people. For experts, it didn't matter if you were invisible or not; they could still detect and kill you based on your aura.

"Haha." Lin Fan couldn't help but laugh. This was going to be incredibly fun. Neither the Great Yan Dynasty nor the four great families could stand in his way now.

Originally, Lin Fan thought it would take some time to raid the Great Yan Dynasty, but given the current situation, he could start right away.

After testing the invisibility state, Lin Fan noted that his true essence would deplete slightly, but with his current 2,200 points of true essence, he could stay invisible for a long time.

In the invisible state, he could still interact with objects, meaning he wouldn't pass through them. He'd have to be careful in the future.

Feeling ready to leave seclusion after three days of training and advancing the Invisibility Technique, Lin Fan prepared to test his results.

"Dong... dong... dong." Just as Lin Fan was about to leave, the sound of bells echoed in his ears.

This was how Tianfu Academy summoned teachers and students. The bell only rang for important matters or for the arrival of significant individuals.

During his few days at Tianfu Academy, Lin Fan had heard about the bell but never witnessed it being used. Now, with the bell ringing, Lin Fan was curious and wanted to see what was happening.

At the academy's entrance, it was a sea of people. Rows of soldiers in black armor surrounded the entrance, creating a clear space.

The academy's senior staff, from top to bottom, gathered at the entrance with expressions of joy, seemingly awaiting someone.

"Headmaster, the arrival of the Yan Emperor and Empress is a monumental event," said a middle-aged man standing beside an elderly man with an immortal demeanor, looking very excited.

The Yan Emperor was the foremost expert of the Great Yan Dynasty, with unfathomable cultivation. Even the elders of the Holy Demon Sect regarded him as an equal and dared not be presumptuous in his presence.

The Empress was a direct disciple of the Absolute Pavilion of the Demon Sect, holding a significant position there as well.

Together, they elevated the Great Yan Dynasty to new heights.

"Indeed, we don't need to worry about the safety of the Yan Emperor and Empress, but we must prepare the academy well. Any negative impression could be a grave mistake," the headmaster said.

"Understood, everything is ready. I've even temporarily excused the students of Class D."

"Good, that's reassuring."

Lin Fan, blending into the crowd, overheard the discussions and was astonished to learn that the Yan Emperor and Empress were visiting Tianfu Academy.

This was a major event.

Lin Fan's interest was piqued; he wanted to see the top two figures of the Great Yan Dynasty.

"Here they come!" someone shouted in the crowd.

Lin Fan quickly stood on tiptoes, craning his neck to look at the academy's entrance.

What he saw left him in awe.

Hundreds of soldiers in golden armor, riding unknown fierce beasts, escorted a majestic dragon chariot driven by six dragon-like beasts. The chariot, adorned with priceless gems, gleamed brilliantly in the sunlight.

"Stop." A sharp voice commanded.

The dragon chariot came to a slow halt, the fierce beasts snorting hot air.

Lin Fan's heart pounded at the sight. This was overwhelming; even the beasts pulling the chariot were at the sixth rank of the innate stage.

"Welcome, Your Majesty, the Yan Emperor and Empress," the headmaster's old voice rang out as he knelt in reverence.

The surrounding people followed suit, bowing to greet the supreme ruler of the Great Yan Dynasty.

Lin Fan hesitated. Seeing everyone kneeling, he knew he couldn't stand out, so he squatted down.

Lin Fan wasn't used to bowing to others. Squatting down was close enough, just to show some respect.

He noticed a sneaky-looking guy next to him staring at him and gave him a sidelong glance, "What are you looking at?"

The man shook his head helplessly and continued bowing.

Lin Fan scoffed at him, thinking he was used to kneeling.

When everyone stood up, Lin Fan followed suit, keeping his eyes fixed on the dragon chariot.

Curiosity filled Lin Fan. He wanted to see what the Yan Emperor and Empress looked like.

As a foot stepped out of the chariot, Lin Fan's curiosity peaked.

Clad in a bright yellow dragon robe, exuding an imposing aura, the Yan Emperor's mere glance sent shivers down one's spine, as if the world should bow before him.

Lin Fan was astonished.

Seventh stage of the Minor Heavenly Position.

This was the highest cultivation Lin Fan had ever seen, far surpassing Mo Yixuan and Ni Mantian.

The Yan Emperor helped a regal, stunning woman from the chariot.

A queenly demeanor, unmatched beauty.

Eighth stage of the Spiritual Transformation.

"Yan Emperor, Empress," the headmaster greeted, lowering himself almost to the point of groveling, eager for their praise.

"Hmm." The Yan Emperor nodded, his aura so overwhelming that Lin Fan felt compelled to submit.

"It's an honor for Tianfu Academy to host the Yan Emperor and Empress. Please, come in," the headmaster said, stepping aside to follow behind them, not daring to walk alongside.

As the Yan Emperor took a step, Lin Fan felt an overwhelming sense of power emanate from him.

The students and staff respectfully made way.

Lin Fan's eyes were drawn to the rings on the Yan Emperor and Empress's fingers, shining brilliantly.

What were these? Such dazzling rings.

Lin Fan realized these were enormous storage rings.

Thinking about storage rings, Lin Fan had a revelation.

The Great Yan Dynasty and the four great families weren't sects.

Would they store their treasures in secret rooms?

Even the Yan Emperor and Empress wore storage rings. Their precious items must be kept with them.

To act or not to act?

Lin Fan hesitated.

Invisibility, a brick, a heist, turning the tide, the black tiger steals the heart...

Lin Fan had the plan ready, but the risk was indeed high.
