Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Scandalous party ii

A beautiful cello melody filled the air in the grand hall, the sound intertwining with the laughter and chatter of excited students. The venue was stunningly decorated, reflecting the social president's exquisite taste. The atmosphere was electric, with the new senior students reveling in the glory of their first high school party. The only rule was simple: only seniors were allowed.

(Lamia's Room)

Lamia stood in front of his wardrobe, sighing as he sorted through an array of clothes. Michael shook his head in disbelief. "Lamia, your fashion sense is terrible! It's like I'm looking at a real-life nightmare!"

Lamia smiled, his indifference towards dressing evident. He didn't mind his attire, knowing that it wasn't the outfit that mattered but his discomfort with being the center of attention. "I'll just wear anything. It doesn't matter," he replied.

Michael gasped theatrically. "You don't mean it! This party is one of the most important in the school's history! There's no way a gorgeous guy like you can show up looking shabby!"

Reluctantly, Lamia agreed. To his astonishment, Michael produced a stunning outfit from the back of the closet. "What the hell, Mike? Where did you get such beauty from?" Lamia marveled, feeling both flattered and suspicious.

"Are you suspecting me?" Michael replied dramatically. "Jeez, Lamia! I've been your friend since grade one! I'm hurt!"

With a chuckle, Lamia hugged him. "You're the only one who understands me. I'm just surprised you chose such an outfit for me."

Michael held Lamia's hands, sincerity in his eyes. "You'll always be my number one priority. I care about you and want the best for you. Now, let's forget about this little charade and get ready for the party."

As they prepared, neither noticed the shadow looming at the door. Lamia shrieked when he recognized Damian, who laughed heartily. "Goodness, Lamia! You're so jumpy! It's cute to see your face when you're scared."

Lamia elbowed him lightly. "You jerk! I should have known only you would pull a stunt like that. Aren't you going to the party hosted by the seniors?"

Damian shrugged nonchalantly. "I just wanted to see what my roommate was wearing." His genuine interest caught Lamia off guard, leaving Michael bewildered about the newfound chemistry between them.

"Hmm, maybe I should be on my way," Michael said, glancing between them, clearly surprised by their closeness. "See you, Lam!"

As Michael left, Lamia faced Damian, still flustered. "Seriously, D? Is this what you want others to see? They might get the wrong impression about us… I mean, we are…"

Damian chuckled softly, putting Lamia at ease. "Relax, Lamia. You're my guy. I don't feel anything towards you. I'm just curious about the handsome guy standing in front of me."

Lamia's cheeks flushed as he hid his face, desperately trying to mask his embarrassment. "Let's just forget about this awkward moment and prepare for the party."

Damian smirked, leaning closer. "Yeah, the party. I'm going to have fun with girls. Isn't that lovely?"

Lamia forced a smile. "Yeah, that's great. Enjoy." Feeling overwhelmed, he dashed out to the restroom.

(The Sunflower Room)

In another part of the building, Alexa sat regally in front of a mirror, a maid attending to her. She wore a striking white gown, short enough to showcase her long legs. Her plan was simple yet diabolical: capture the heart of Hadrain Scott, the most popular guy in school. That would elevate her status to new heights.

As she admired herself, her mind twisted with thoughts of vengeance against Abigail, the scholarship student who had dared to enter their prestigious institution. "Girls, I have something steamy planned for tonight," she announced to Dinah and Sophia, who leaned in eagerly. "I want our enemies vanquished from this school."

"What do you have in mind?" Sophia asked, her eyes glinting with anticipation.

Alexa's laughter echoed darkly around the room. "It's going to hurt, and after this, she'll know what hit her." She whispered her plan into their ears, an evil grin spreading across their faces. "This party is going to be a scandal."

(Abigail's Lounge)

Meanwhile, Abigail was consumed with thoughts of Damian. What did he want? Why was he being so nice? Just as she considered her predicament, she opened her phone and logged into the school group chat, only to find her and Damian's picture trending online.

"Oh no, this is the last thing I wanted," she gasped. Comments filled the screen, each more hateful than the last, wishing death upon her for being near Damian, the class treasure. After a moment of deliberation, she decided she wouldn't let their negativity control her. She would attend the party and show them she didn't care.

Searching through her wardrobe, Abigail picked out a sleek black dress, refusing to conform to the white dress code. She applied light makeup that suited her personality and slipped into a pair of heels. As she stepped out of her room, confidence radiated from her.

(The Party Hall)

Lucinda made a grand entrance, instantly drawing the attention of several attendees. The guys stared, captivated by her revealing dress. Behind her, Emily and Sylvia remained in the shadows, feeling overshadowed and crushed by the lack of attention.

The party reached a new level of excitement when two figures entered: Lamia and Damian. The crowd gasped collectively, their presence drawing admiration from countless girls.

"My knight in shining armor!" one girl exclaimed, while another shamelessly declared, "Please let me have you!"

Hadrain, standing nearby, clenched his jaw in jealousy. "How dare they steal my spotlight?" he growled, anger simmering just below the surface.
