Audrey drove back home in her car which Rosa had fixed. All through the drive, she thought about how her accident and appearance could be connected to the stolen campaign. She could not help but worry about it. That issue could not be left unattended, after all, Johnathan had a family who were worrying for his safety.
She picked up her phone from her lap and called Rosa who had already gotten home and was lying on her bed, requesting her to call the police and file a missing person complaint on the company's behalf, as well as an investigation on her accident and CCTV footage from their neighboring buildings.
Audrey arrived home and met godmother at her usual spot, Mrs Evans would always sit down on the porch and wait for Audrey's return. The two exchanged a smile as Audrey approached her. She sat by her side and laid her head on her shoulder.
"Stressful day, is it?" Mrs Evans said as she patted Audrey's head.
"Very." Audrey responded, closing her eyes for a moment.
"Did you like your guest's visit?" Mrs Evans said and Audrey's eyes snapped open. She sat up abruptly as a question rose I'm her mind.
" Why did he come by himself." She started and Mrs Evans shrugged.
"I mean, his manager was supposed to deliver the message," Audrey added.
"And why did you arrive together?" She began to question and Mrs Evans raised an eyebrow.
"Did you think I led him to your office?" Mrs Evans asked as she placed her hand on her chest dramatically, pretending she was in shock. Audrey felt bad for suspecting her godmother and apologized.
Mrs Evans added that she met Miguel outside of the building but didn't add that she was the one who asked him to go to Audrey's office instead of hers. She even told him to make himself comfortable and how her daughter is such a wonderful person to converse with.

Miguel stayed at his office late that night, he decided to have a drink with his friend Robert. He could not believe a thought of Audrey had driven him to drink. Miguel couldn't decide whether it was love or frustration of constantly getting spawned for the first time in his life. All he knew was, he wasn't feeling it.
When he was tipsy from alcohol, he blurted his situation out to Robert who laughed at him. It was funny because Robert had never heard Miguel talk about girls, let alone a girl he was constantly trying to win over.
Robert tried to give him relationship advice but Miguel fired and said he didn't need it, vowing to never run to her again as if it was an easy thing to do, which made his friend laugh even harder.
Robert knew his friend was a persistent person. He was a person who would not stop until he got what he wanted. He was sure Miguel would betray his own decisions later.
Miguel promised to deduct from Roberts's salary for the next six months because of his mockery. Robert wasn't at all bothered as he knew that Miguel was only saying that out of anger. He's been his friend for fifteen years and his escort for seven years, he knew exactly what kind of person Miguel was.
Roberts's laughter died down as he remembered that Miguel was already betrothed to Betty, but he did not make mention of it, his friend was already in a bad mood.
After Miguel had his third glass of whiskey, Robert took the bottle from him, he knew Miguel would get into trouble if he returned home wasted. Even as an adult, his father still treated him like a child and scolded him for every little mistake he made. For that reason, both father and son never get along.
Miguel had thought several times about moving out of his father's house but the thought of his aging parents would not let him go. He agreed to get engaged to Betty because of his father's heart condition, he especially felt sorry for his parents when his older brother left home, Miguel was only sixteen then but joined the business to please his father. Still, Mr Parker was always too hard on him.
Robert had always felt worried for Miguel, his cold behavior was due to his upbringing, his mother always supported her husband, and her eldest son was her favorite as he always did her dirty work for her while Miguel would refuse to get his hands dirty.
Robert got lost in his thoughts and didn't notice that Miguel had fallen asleep. Waking a drunken person up would be very tiring, Robert sighed and tried his luck.
Miguel was up but was still drowsy so Robert helped him up and guided him out of his office with a hand over his shoulder, making sure that he had collected Miguel's phones from the table.
By the time they got home, Miguel was already sober. He could walk by himself, but Robert did not trust him to handle himself, so he snuck him into his room as he avoided Mr Parker who was sitting at his usual spot, this time he was watching the news. He had been waiting for Miguel to arrive home so he could scold him for being harsh to Betty. There was also an announcement he would like to make but he wanted to get that girl Audrey out of his son's mind first.
Miguel drifted off as soon as his back hit the bed, he didn't even take his clothes off but Robert helped him with his shoes and left for his room, sneaking out again to avoid unnecessary drama.
By the time Mr Parker would check Miguel's room for the third time that night, he found that he was sound asleep. He didn't know how they always managed to sneak in but that doesn't mean he had escaped punishment.
Mr Parker watched his son twisting and turning on his bed, muttering something inaudible before closing the door behind him. Mentally reminding himself to talk to him in the morning before he ran off to work, he knew his son had a habit of dodging conversations.

Audrey and her godmother were happy about the business party they were planning for the weekend. It was a partnership party between their company and Mr Parker's. They plan on announcing their new products which Audrey had proposed for in her project.
She and Mrs Evans sat side by side as they tried to select some beautiful dresses for Audrey online. She would be the talk of that night so she must be exceptionally beautiful.
Mrs Evans insisted that even though Audrey didn't care about what she would wear, as long as she looked presentable and professional.
A red dress caught Mrs Evans's attention and she zoomed in to show Audrey who thought it was too attractive. She pointed at a blue dress and godmother snorted, saying that the color was dull and boyish.
Audrey accepted defeat after a short argument about which of the clothes was the best. She agreed to wear the overly attractive red dress, making her godmother cheer in victory. Both burst into a fit of laughter.
Suddenly, her godmother yelped and held her head in pain, Audrey was frightened, and she dropped the tablet on the floor.
Godmother stated that she felt like something was moving in her head, she had been feeling it for a few days, Audrey wasn't at all happy to hear that, how could godmother have hidden something so serious from her?
Audrey informed the family doctor and he said he'd be there in a few hours. Audrey was not satisfied with his answer and decided to take godmother to his private hospital, she was afraid that he would not make it there on time.
Godmother tried to call her down, assuring her that the pain had gone but Audrey insisted. She grabbed her car keys and walked Mrs Evans to the passenger seat. She ran to her seat and drove towards the gates, hitting the hunk of her car simultaneously.
It was already midnight but Audrey didn't care, she just wanted to make sure her savior was okay.
The sudden silence made Audrey turn towards Mrs Evans. She was shocked and out of words as saw Mrs Evans unconscious, her head was slumped to the side and her eyes were closed. Audrey called her a couple of times but there was no response. She shook her shoulder but to no avail.
"No, no, no!" Audrey screamed in tears. She was sure she had lost the only person she had left.
Audrey didn't know how, but she lost control of the stirring wheel and everything went dark.
The sound of sirens was all Audrey could hear, her head hurt and she couldn't feel her body. Someone touched her, they were pulling her out of the car. Her eyes were heavy but she managed to open them slightly. She saw her godmother being carried into an ambulance.
"Mother" she cried, then she lost consciousness.
