Chapter 1 - Prologue: How it began

April 5th, 2120

Los Meteo, California, USNA.

In this neon and chrome encased hellhole known as Los Meteo, the skyline's just a jagged mess of towers, each plastered with flashy holograms and ad screens that never quit.

The streets? A twisted mismash of narrow, rain-slick alleys always buzzin' with some chrome head on his hoverbike showing off for the girls and some chromie gettin' his rocks off through the local cybergirls or some cheap elisim addict sellin' themselves to get another hit.

Neon lights stay dancin' over grimy, old buildings that look like they've seen better days.

Beneath the high-tech abyss, Los Meteo's a city of wild shit, that's for sure.

The rich folks chill in their shiny, chrome high-rises with killer views and vibes, while the lower levels are a grimy mess of smog and low-life junkies getting their next upgrade from old man Rhymes in that old shithole he calls a shop.

Down here, the black market stays boomin' with shady cybermods, rogue AI, and illegal robo-clashes.

The city's also a melting pot of cultures and tech, with folks hustling through acid rain and neon fog.

Walls are always plastered with graffiti—both real and virtual.

Cops stay screamin' about the artists who mark the walls in protest against the mega-corps that run the show.

Of course that's just Los Meteo for ya, a city of fallen meteorites.

"Los Meteo: Where Neon Never Sleeps and Tomorrow's a Gamble."

And on this particular day, the heart of this cybernetic hell's paradise is Neo Arts University, or NAU for short, a campus that was a safe haven from the city itself.

A place where tradition and advancement fucked like animals and ended up having a kid called innovation, where the minds of tomorrow were being forged.

As the new academic year dawned, the campus was a hive of activity.

Fresh-faced students who had no idea of what they were getting themselves into by coming to this city, the place once known as the City of Fallen Stars.

People mingled with returning college goers, their faces showed a mix of familiarity and anticipation.

Among them was Adrian Malik Ramirez or as he is commonly known as: Adrian, a newcomer with a distinctive appearance that set him apart from the crowd.

His parents, Chae Ramirez and Aaron Cade, stood on either side of him, their expressions a blend of pride and apprehension as they remembered the overwhelming challenges of university life.

Accompanying them was their younger daughter, Lisa, a pair of holo phones on as she was dancing to the latest DJ Rush track: YOLO.

Adrian's appearance was as distinctive as his personality. His black dreadlocks, gathered into a high ponytail, framed a face that was a striking blend of determination and vulnerability.

Clad in a sleek ensemble of white, black, and gold, he stood out amidst the more conventional attire of his peers.

His outfit was a reflection of his unique style, a fusion of elegance and edge that mirrored the city he called home.

Chae Ramirez and Aaron Gordon, Adrian's parents, were a study in contrasts.

Chae exudes a vibrant mix of warmth and authority. In her early forties, she has a well-defined sense of style that reflects her affection for retro fashion with a modern twist.

Her light brown skin glows under the neon lights of Los Meteo, and her deep brown eyes are always full of emotion, whether it's pride or concern. Chae's long, smooth hair is often styled in an upward style.

For this special day, she dons a neon pink jacket with sleek lines and embedded LED lights that create a soft, pulsating glow.

The jacket is paired with a form-fitting, high-tech jumpsuit in black, featuring integrated digital displays that show a subtle shifting pattern of holographic designs.

Aaron, on the other hand, is a tall, broad-shouldered man in his mid-forties with a demeanor that balances ruggedness and dependability.

His sun-kissed dark brown skin and neatly trimmed beard are complemented by an old-school chrome-plated arm—an artifact from the earlier days of tech enhancements.

This arm, a symbol of both his past achievements and current practicality, gleams with a polished sheen.

He wears a dark leather jacket over a high-tech, utilitarian vest that provides both style and function.

The jacket, weathered but well-maintained, is a nod to his family roots, while the vest is embedded with smart fabric technology that adjusts to temperature changes.

Aaron's eyes, a piercing hazel, reflect a blend of determination and concern, always focused on ensuring the well-being of his family.

His overall appearance gave a sense of grounded responsibility, only elevated by his practical, tech-savvy enhancements.

Their expressions were a complex interplay of pride for their son's accomplishments and the inevitable anxieties that accompanied such a major life transition.

Lisa, their youngest, and Adrian's baby sister, at twelve, is a tech prodigy in the making, and her appearance reflects her vibrant personality and keen intellect.

She has light brown skin like her mother, with a cascade of curly hair that she often wears loose or in playful, high ponytails.

Her eyes, a warm amber, sparkle with curiosity and excitement as she explores the world around her.

On this day, Lisa is dressed in a holographic hoodie that changes colors based on her emotions, a cutting-edge piece of fashion that hints at her growing tech skills.

The hoodie features a mix of blues and purples that shift fluidly, creating a mesmerizing effect as she moves. She pairs this with sleek, dark leggings and a pair of high-top sneakers with built-in LED lights.

Around her wrist, she wears a smartband loaded with educational apps and games, emphasizing her tech-savvy nature and her fascination with the future.

Adrian saw groups of tech students were engrossed in the glow of augmented reality devices.

Artsy types, covered in a riot of neon colors and intricate tattoos, animatedly discussed their latest projects.

Meanwhile, the athletes engaged in spirited debates about training and upcoming competitions.

The campus was a smaller imitation of the city itself, a melting pot where people from all walks of life gathered to pursue their passions.

The Neo Arts University campus was a mishmash of the student body it housed, a vibrant array of diverse personalities.

From the tech-obsessed chromies to the artistically inclined neon junkies, from the athletic  to the intellectual, every imaginable personality found a home within its grounds.

The air was thick with the energy of an elite college, Adrian could feel the excitement that ran through his veins like a burst of adrenaline.

Adrian's smile widened as he and his family made their way through the campus, drawing curious glances from those around them.

As they walked, Adrian became the focal point of a lively discussion among a group of young women huddled together under the shade of a massive oak tree.

A cluster of first-year students occupied a nearby table, their eyes darting toward the other new arrivals with some interest.

Among them were a group of jocks, also first years, who were making a concerted effort to catch the attention of the girls.

Their attempts were loud and boisterous, but they seemed to have little impact.

In the midst of this scene was a young woman whose presence was as captivating as Adrian's.

She stood apart from the rest, her gaze locked onto Adrian with a focused intensity.

One of the jocks, eager to impress, tried to insert himself into her line of sight, but his chatter went unnoticed.

The woman was a striking figure.

Her eyes, an otherworldly neon blue, held an otherworldly allure that seemed to give off an air of danger. Her presence was magnetic as all the girls, fourth year and first year alike gathered around her and her friends.

Her gaze unmoved as she observed Adrian from afar.

She was drawn to the unconventional, to those who dared to defy norms. It was weeks ago that she had first noticed Adrian when he came to tour the campus before being accepted like she had done, his distinctive style and aura setting him apart from the crowd.

Now, as she watched him interact with his family and friends who just arrived themselves, her interest only grew.

Her blue eyes followed his every move, as if he was a puzzle she was determined to put together.

Selene possessed an almost inhuman elegance, a poise that set her apart from the crowd. Her long, inky black dreadlocks flowed like shadows behind her, a stark contrast to the hues of the city.

Clad in a low-collared outfit that mirrored the city's neon palette of blue, black, and white, she was a living embodiment of Los Meteo's nocturnal atmosphere.

Her gaze was fixed on Adrian. Beneath the cool exterior, a flicker of curiosity flared.

As Adrian talked with his parents and friends, he noticed Selene's gaze.

Her eyes, those unnatural shades of blue, held an icy feeling that sent a shiver down his spine.

For a moment, his eyes let loose a flash of yellow with a red iris in the center, a stark contrast to their usual brown.

The anomaly was gone just as quickly as it had appeared, but Selene had seen it. Recognition crossed her face as she stood, her lips curving into a satisfied smile.

She knew now that Adrian was no ordinary freshman, instead, he was like her and her click. There was something different about him, something she was determined to find out personally.

He truly was a piece of a puzzle she was determined to complete. As Adrian, his friends and family disappeared into the entrance of the dorms, Selene nodded her head towards her friends, who stood as well, smiles appearing across all their faces as one by one, they melted back into the shadows, with Selene being the last to do so, her form as elusive as the city's myths.

The game had begun, and she was the hunter.

4 years later - 2124 - May 19th - Los Meteo, California - Neo Arts University.

The city of San Meteo had evolved into a dazzling, hyper-kinetic metropolis. Neon lights cast an ethereal glow over the cityscape, transforming the city into a living, breathing artwork.

The once familiar landmarks were now shrouded in a futuristic veneer, their original forms barely recognizable beneath layers of technological advancement.

It was May 19th, 2124, and the Neo Arts University campus was a microcosm of this transformed world.

The once-familiar buildings were now sleek, bioluminescent structures, and the students, a diverse and technologically adept generation, were at the forefront of innovation.

Adrian, now a seasoned fourth-year student, stood at the precipice of adulthood.

The carefree days of freshman year were a distant memory at this point for Adrian and his friends, replaced by the weight of impending graduation and the uncertainty of what lay beyond.

Yet, amidst the looming responsibilities, he found solace in the company of his closest and childhood best friends, Marcus and Mason.

Tonight, the trio had ventured into the heart of Los Meteo's vibrant nightlife, seeking an escape from the academic pressures.

Adrian's signature style, a fusion of the past and future, had evolved with him.

His dreadlocks, now meticulously styled in a high ponytail with shaved sides, were a stark contrast to the clean-cut appearance of many of his peers.

Clad in a white, black, and gold, his clothes were an interpretation of late 90s aesthetics his grandfather once told him ruled the country in the 1990's and early 2000's, he moved through the crowd with a confidence born of experience.

As Marcus and Mason drifted towards the main walkway back to their dormitory, Adrian was struck by an inexplicable sense of unease.

A chill ran down his spine, as if he were being watched. The sensation was only growing by the second, it lingered, he decided to push it to the back of his mind as he walked with his two drunken friends.

Marcus soon turned to face him a bit.

"Marcus: Yo rian! What's with that look you pussy? What? Scared of the dark???"

Adrian laughed a bit as Masom chimed in.

"Mason: You're one to talk Mar, remember when we were 15, old man Sanchez's old manor on the far side of Houston, you dared me and Rian to go in, yet yo scared ass wouldn't budge from the spot you stood on!"

Adrian busted out laughing as Mason did as well, Marcus could only laugh as well, even after all these years together and 4 years of college, their still the best of friends.

As they talked, Adrian felt that chill again, unconsciously, he scanned the crowd, his eyes searching for anything out of place, any sign of a presence that didn't belong, but he couldn't see anything.

He chalked it up as jitters from drinking as many mugs of beer, he was still pretty sober, unlike Marcus and Mason who both looked as though they would fall over at a moment's notice.

They soon began their walk to the dorms again as they kept talking about their past, all with Adrian laughing loudly at the back and forth between Marcus and Mason

"Adrian: Listen, if you two drunk wussies can make it back to the dorms without falling once, I'll let y'all bring those girls with us next time, deal?"

He said confidentiality as they both looked as though it took all their will power just to stand upright.

Both Marcus and Mason smirked.

"Marcus: DEAL YA BUMBOCLAAT PUSSYBOI!"

And with that Marcus let his Jamaican side come out again.

As they walked, from a shadowed alleyway, a pair of eyes watched Adrian.

These eyes seemed otherworldly as they held a neon blue color to them, they watched Adrian as the trio soon made it past the alley, the eyes moved through the shadowes keeping up with them.

As they got closer to the dormitory, a girl came walking out of the door with an angry look on her face, it was none other than Frida Boulevardez, the dorm manager and the older cousin of Adrian.

Frida was a commanding presence in Los Meteo's nightlife. At around thirty-one years old, her style fused cyberpunk edginess with practical sophistication.

Her dark, voluminous hair was pulled into a high, sleek ponytail, and her neon-highlighted jacket glowed faintly in the dim light.

She sported high-tech glasses that doubled as a digital interface and her skin, a rich shade of brown, was enhanced with subtle, glowing tattoos that traced her arms and neck, hinting at her technological flair.

Frida's attitude was laced with an authoritative edge, her voice carrying both warmth and an unmistakable firmness as she approached Adrian and his friends.

Frida was approaching the trio with a stern look.

"Frida: Adrian, ¿qué diablos estás haciendo aquí tan tarde? You know better than to be out in this mess, especially with estos borrachos."

Adrian was grinning sheepishly.

"Adrian: Ah, Frida, we're just wrapping up a fun night. We're heading back now, promise."

Frida had crossed her arms, but softened slightly.

"Frida: Ay, no me vengas con eso. I've seen you three stumble in here more times than I can count. I gotta make sure you get back in one piece, alright?"

Marcus was swaying slightly.

"Marcus: Chill out, Frida. We're just having some fun. No need to be so serious! You're still the same spoilsport as always!"

Frida had started raising an eyebrow, but with a hint of amusement.

"Frida: Marcus, si te caes y te rompes algo, no vengas llorando. I'm just looking out for you, okay? Los callejones aquí no son un lugar para andar borracho."

Mason was chuckling as he watched Adrian tense hearing his cousin's words.

"Mason: We got it, Frida. Just enjoying the night, that's all."

Frida was sighing, but with a wry smile.

"Frida: Alright, but don't make me come look for you again. Get inside and keep the noise down, ¿entienden?"

As Frida watched them head towards the dorm, her glowing tattoos flickering softly, she kept a watchful eye on Adrian and his friends.

Despite her tough exterior, her concern for her cousin and his crew was evident, reflecting her protective nature of her little cousin and his friends.

Adrian and Frida stayed back as Marcus and Mason went inside, they watched as his friends disappeared into the building, their laughter echoing in the night.

Frida started chewing Adrian out for another night.

Frida glared at Adrian with a mixture of frustration and maternal concern as she began her familiar lecture.

"Frida: Adrian Lorenzo Caden Ramirez?! What did mi tía teach us about this growing up? ¡Mira, what would mi mamá say if she saw you out here acting like a fool again? She'd be devastated seeing her only nephew running around like this!"

Adrian dropped his head, feeling the weight of her words. He knew she was right, and the memory of his aunt Benny, who had always been a guiding presence in his life, weighed heavily on him. She had moved back to Mexico to care for his uncle, and Adrian felt a bit of guilt knowing she'd be deeply disappointed if she were here to see him now.

Adrian was mumbling.

"Adrian: I know, Frida. It's just...we were blowing off steam. It's been a rough semester, you know?"

Frida was shaking her head, thinking about what her little cousin was doing tonight, thinking about how much trouble he could've gotten into.

"Frida: A rough semester? That's no excuse to be out here every single night, stumbling around like a lost kid. You know better than this. ¿Dónde está el sentido común, Adrian? You're an adult now. I expect more from you!"

Her eyes softened for a moment as she looked at him, remembering all the times she had scolded him growing up, through high school and beyond. Even then, she had been the one to hold him accountable, to guide him with a mix of tough love and care.

"Frida: You think you can just party away your problems? Huh? You've got responsibilities now, and you're not a kid anymore. Mi mamá and tía worked hard to keep you on track, to make sure you didn't end up like some lost soul in this crazy city once you got here. And now look at you. I'm just trying to make sure you don't forget what really matters."

Adrian looked up, meeting her eyes with a mixture of guilt and gratitude. He knew she was right; her scolding was a reflection of her concern as both his older cousin and the one who always helped him when they were growing up.

"Adrian: I get it, Fri. You're right. I guess I've just been...trying to escape the pressure. But I don't want to let you down."

Frida had a hand on her face as she was sighing, her expression softening slightly.

"Frida: I know, mijo. I know. But you need to balance it out, okay? Have your fun, but don't let it take over. I just don't want to see you lose yourself in this mess."

Frida's tone was gentler now, her concern palpable. She placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, her glowing tattoos flickering softly.

"Frida: Now get inside before I start worrying about you more. And try to be a bit more responsible. Por favor, Adrian."

Adrian nodded, feeling a mix of shame and relief as Frida and his friends made their way towards the dorm. Adrian soon began to follow them.

Once the dormitory doors swallowed his friends and cousin, Adrian found himself alone. The city's sounds seemed to only grow louder now that he was alone, he smiled, thinking about what his dad would be saying right now if he was still living.

It had been a year since his passing from chrome poisoning, someone slipped something in his drink.

As his eyes reflected the moonlight, they turned a bright glowing yellow, a sign of something deeper absorbing the moonlight.

But once he turned to step onto the stairs to the door, he felt that something was off.

He stepped back onto the ground, the same inexplicable pull drawing him away from the relative safety of the dormitory.

Suddenly the feeling of being watched was revived, but this time, it came from above. He scanned the towering skyscrapers, their neon lights only offered nothing.

Curiosity moved him forward.

The alleyway he chose was In total darkness compared to the neon-soaked main streets. Here, the city's pulse was quieter, a quiet place where no lights shined and no humans walked.

As he ventured deeper, the alley seemed to shrink, focusing solely on the path ahead, he called out to what he thought was the dorm cat.

"Adrian: Sylvester? Are you here you little troublemaker???"

Adrian's voice sounded off as he scanned the alley, his eyes darting from corner to corner, he knew that tabby cat was sneaky for a kitten, and he wanted to finally catch him off guard.

The city's stray animals were usually the only inhabitants of alleyways like this outside the typical chromie or prostitute who was hopped off elisim, and he'd half-expected to find a stray cat as the culprit of the noise instead of Sylvester, being the kitten was only a year old.

But there was no cat, only an unsettling silence broken by a shiver that ran down his spine.

Then, a voice, soft and somewhat warm, called out to him.

"???: There you are, Adrian..."

His name, spoken with a softness unknown to him, it chilled him to the bone. It was a voice he had never heard before that day. Something about it felt alien, almost inhuman.

He felt as though the voice was somehow familiar as well unfamiliar, almost as though he's heard the voice before.

Adrian heard trash cans slamming into each other as he spun around, half expecting Marcus, Mason or worse, Frida to be there, but it was nothing as his eyes were met by nothing more than the main street to the dorms.

He soon met the culprit, it was none other than Sylvester himself, the kitten jumped out from behind a trash can lid meowing a bit, Adrian smiled as he picked up the kitten.

"Adrian: Listen here lil Mr. You aren't allowed out of the main building!"

He said as the kitten only purred, putting a tiny paw on Adrian's nose, he smiled before turning to the street and walking out of the alley.

He opened the door to the dorm and quickly put Sylvester inside, he smiled again before he heard the voice again, but this time it was right behind him.

He quickly turned to see a girl, he didn't know of her or who she was, but she apparently knew of him.

He immediately backed away slowly, slowly backing up until his back is close to coming near the door, that is until the girl vanished from sight, shocking Adrian as his eyes continued to sweep the area for her, as he backed up, his back soon touched what he thought was the door, but once he turned around he saw it was the woman.

Adrian fell backwards as her eyes started  glowing blue glow, his own eyes shook as they began to glow yellow, the woman smiled as she walked towards Adrian.

She was a woman of ethereal beauty and predatory grace.

She has a complementary style with a late 90's twist.

Her outfit mirrors Adrian's in its cut and design but is styled in blue, silver, and black. She wears a tailored blue skin-tight bodysuit with silver and black accents, which fits her like a second skin and enhances her ethereal grace.

The bodysuit is adorned with distinct patterns that shimmer like silver in the light.

Her dreadlocks, flowing and adorned with small, silver and gold beads, frame her face and add to her mesmerizing appearance.

The woman's outfit is completed with silver, high-heels, and a silver sleeveless jacket that emphasize her elegant yet intimidating presence. She exuded an aura of power and control.

Her movements were fluid, almost liquid, as if she were a creature of the night, perfectly adapted to her surroundings.

Before Adrian could react, she closed the distance between them with unnerving speed.

Appearing in front of him almost like a shadow, her eyes glowing bright neon blue the entire time, her gaze followed his form as he was backed up to a wall.

She slowly walked towards him as he kept looking for a way to get away.

"Adrian: W-who are you?! What are you?!"

He asked, his voice trembling slightly.

Her lips curled into a knowing smile.

"???: I am the gateway to a new existence for you, Adrian."

In an instant, she was upon him, her hands against the stone wall behind him, her pupils were slit, almost like a beast, her lips were coated in bright blue lipstick as her blue nails gripped the wall, cracking it as they dug in.

Adrian couldn't believe the inhuman levels of strength she possessed, his eyes gleaming yellow in opposite of her neon blue as he slowly pushed her away.

This only enticed her more, her lips parted as sharp fangs were shown, and that's when Adrian finally understood what she was.

"Adrian: N-no way....you're a Vampire?!"

As he said this, her eyes flared with that neon glow, her smile, cold and seductive, it held a world of unnatural beauty.

As she got closer to him, her fangs began to show, becoming longer and sharper, as if she was going to bite him

Adrian's instincts suddenly kicked in as if he suddenly had some kind of danger sense, his eyes gleamed a bright neon yellow as with one hand, he managed to launch her off of him.

Her form launched into the air as she flipped over in the air before she gracefully landed with ease, her smile grew larger as her hunting instinct had been ignited.

Adrian ran as fast as he could, making sure his path was clear as he ran down an alley, the woman smiled as she walked slowly after him.

She felt genuine joy as she walked after him, a sense of euphoria rushed through her veins, her eyes glowed as she walked after him.

Adrian's heart pounded like a drumbeat in his ears. His breath came and went several in ragged gasps as he sprinted down the alley, the cold night air whipping at his face.

He could hear her footsteps behind him, slow and deliberate, like the stalking of an apex animal was hunting.

He could feel the fear, washing over himself as he ran. Every shadow seemed to morph into her figure, every sound, an echo of her approach.

He glanced over his shoulder, his eyes widening in terror. There she was, gliding through the darkness, her blue eyes burning like twin moons.

Her mouth was curved into an inhuman grin, revealing those elongated fangs.

The silver, blue and white of her outfit shimmered in the dim light, a stark contrast to the gritty alleyway.

Panic surged through him as he realized he was trapped. The alley dead-ended in a high brick wall. There was nowhere to go.

He skidded to a halt, his back pressed against the cold stone. His breath came in desperate gasps as he turned to face her.

Her eyes seemed to glow brighter, her predatory instincts fully aroused. She closed the distance between them with lethal speed, her movements fluid and graceful despite the confined space.

Adrian's heart hammered against his ribs like a trapped bird. He raised his arms to protect his face, but he knew it was futile.

As she lunged, he squeezed his eyes shut, bracing himself for the inevitable.

But as he waited, nothing came, she didn't attack him.

He felt like she was playing a trick on him as he shielded himself, but as he peeked through his fingers, all he saw was those glowing blue eyes of hers.

As he uncovered his face, she inched closer and closer, she stood in front of him with a bright red blush over her face, her skin stained a light red as was biting her lip.

"???: Mhhhh~ I've finally got you, my love~"

Her words seemed all too familiar as she had a hand on the wall behind him with the other on his chest.

Adrian was both confused and a bit excited about this.... situation?

His mind was racing with all the different outcomes and possibilities, but they all ended in one way: him dying.

He needed a way out of this, but no matter what he came up with would get him out of this, that is until he saw the way she looked at his neck, and his immediate thoughts came to the surface.

"Adrian: If you're gonna bite me, you gotta catch me first?!"

He managed to slip past her just as her fangs snapped shut onto thin air, Adrian immediately darted towards a large glass window and jumped through.

The sound of glass shattering woke up the few people who lived inside the dorm he broke into, he ran through the dorm quickly as he managed to ghost her.

She smiled as she could see his body heat running through the building and disappearing as he ran as fast as he could.

Adrian sprinted through the dark, labyrinthine alleys of Los Meteo, his panic fuelling every stride. He glanced back, catching a glimpse of the woman gaining on him. With a curse, he muttered under his breath.

"Adrian: ¡Mierda! ¿Por qué me pasa esto a mí?"

Desperation fueled his actions as he grabbed a nearby crate and shoved it down, the metal clanging loudly as it crashed into a shelf.

The commotion sent debris and dust into the air. Adrian kept running, racing through the alleyways, his heart pounding like a drum in his chest.

The night air was icy as his breath seemed to freeze once it left his lungs, each breath visible. The city's neon lights flickered and buzzed overhead, blending into a blur of color and motion.

He ran as Hover cars hummed distantly above his head, their lights adding to the chaotic situation. Electric advertisements flashed and flickered as well.

Adrian's heightened senses made every sound, every sight, feel amplified. The sounds of his own footsteps echoed off the walls. But the most pressing sensation was the unyielding presence of the woman behind him.

Panting heavily, Adrian rounded another corner, his breath coming in ragged gasps as plumes of white exited his mouth with each breath.

He shot a quick glance back towards the way he came from, his yellow eyes catching the woman's silhouette, which moved with an unnatural speed. The sight made him curse again.

"Adrian: ¡Carajo, qué diablos!"

The woman's glowing blue eyes jumped around in the darkness as she chased him, and Adrian's eyes shrunk as he realized just how close she was.

He pushed himself harder, desperately trying to navigate the maze-like alleys.

The woman's laugh echoed faintly in the dark behind him, a chilling reminder that she was still very much on his trail.

As Adrian turned another corner, he could feel the cold sweat on his brow and the burning in his lungs.

He kept running, praying for an escape, knowing that his survival depended on outrunning this inhuman woman.

As Adrian sprinted through the maze-like alleyways, he knew them well, the woman's voice rang out again, piercing the darkness with a chilling tone.

"???: Adrian!"

Her voice was both commanding and haunting, echoing off the walls with an unsettling resonance.

"???: You can't run from meeeee~ I can smell your fear~"

The panic inside Adrian only surged, he desperately searched for a place to hide.

No matter how fast he ran, he could feel her presence closing in, her pursuit relentless.

In a desperate move, he darted into an unknown abandoned warehouse, its old metal door creaking as he forced it open.

With a final burst of adrenaline, Adrian slipped inside and managed to close the door behind him just as the woman landed on the other side.

He pressed his back against the door, trying to stifle the sound of his heavy breathing as he listened to her movements outside.

Through the slats of the door, he could see her neon blue eyes scanning the area with an excited but hunting look on her face.

Her eyes whirled around the area as she looked, her heightened senses tracking his heat signature as she searched for any sign of him.

Suddenly, she spotted a heat signature and raced towards it, her movements was almost like teleportation. Adrian, heart racing, quickly moved deeper into the warehouse, slipping behind a stack of rusted steel crates. The vast, dusty space echoed with the distant clattering of metal, adding to his sense of isolation.

Adrian crouched behind the crates, trying to steady his breathing, his heart pounding in his ears. He could hear her footsteps growing fainter as she moved away, but the dread of her discovering him kept him on edge.

"Adrian: Why's this happening to me?! What the hell did I do to be placed in this situation?!"

He muttered, his voice trembling with both fear and frustration. The cold, dark interior of the warehouse felt like another world, and he fought to keep calm, hoping that she wouldn't find him.

The silence was interrupted only by the distant echoes of her search, each sound heightening Adrian's anxiety as he walked in the shadows, trying to stay as quiet as possible.

Adrian's frustration bubbled up as he paced the dimly lit warehouse, his anger only growing as he muttered curses to himself.

"Adrian: This bitch has the nerve to hunt me down like a rabbit. This is insane! What the hell is her problem?!"

His voice echoed through the empty space, his anger momentarily distracting him from the fear and pain gnawing at his chest.

He wandered through the unfamiliar building, noting its dilapidated state.

Dust hung heavily in the air, and old, rusted machinery lined the floor.

"Adrian: Saint Marie Industrial? This place is older than the main building. Strange, I've never heard of this place before today."

He mused, glancing at the eerie symbols etched into the walls.

The carvings were unlike anything he recognized, their lines twisting in intricate patterns.

Though the language was unknown, a strange familiarity tugged at him, and he found himself inexplicably understanding the symbols.

His eyes glowed a vibrant yellow, a stark contrast against the dark shadows of the warehouse.

Without warning, a sharp pain pierced his chest, causing him to gasp.

He clutched at his chest, dropping to one knee as a small amount of blood trickled from his mouth.

His vision blurred momentarily, the pain intense and disorienting.

"Adrian: What the hell…?! What's happening now?!"

He said quietly, struggling to stay upright. The agony seemed to radiate from within him, and he fought to control his breathing as he heard the warehouse doors slam open.

The woman's silhouette appeared in the doorway, her form framed by the moonlight.

Her presence was both commanding and serene, her movements silent but purposeful.

Adrian's heart pounded louder, the pain in his chest intensifying as he scrambled to hide behind a nearby wall.

Adrian pressed himself against the cold surface, his breaths shallow and labored.

He could feel the intensity of her gaze, even from where he crouched.

"???: Adrian, I know you're here. There's no need to fear me; I only want to help you~"

She called out softly, her voice a melodic blend of reassurance and eerie calm.

Adrian held his breath, trying to remain as silent as possible.

His chest burned with each inhalation. He listened intently, every muscle tensed as he waited for the next move of the woman.

Adrian pressed himself deeper into the shadows, his heart racing and mind reeling from the intensity of the encounter.

His breaths came in quick, shallow gasps as he struggled to process what was happening.

All he knew was that he needed to escape, to find a way out of this nightmare.

He could hear the woman's voice, now tinged with a disturbing blend of smugness and delight.

Her tone was smooth and sinister, laced with an unsettling satisfaction.

"???: You're all alone, Adrian. So why don't you let me help you~"

Adrian's eyes flicked around the warehouse, searching desperately for an escape route.

His gaze landed on a side door, and he seized the opportunity, sprinting towards it.

However, as he reached out to push the door open, a sudden blur of motion caught him off guard.

The woman, with a speed that defied belief, materialized between him and the exit, a loud boom went off as the wind from her movement blew away all the dust nearby.

Her eyes, glowing with an eerie electric blue, locked onto him with a predatory gleam.

Adrian's blood ran cold as he realized he was trapped. He stumbled backward, crashing against the cold, damp brick wall.

The warehouse, once a place of shadows and refuge, had now become a suffocating trap.

"???: Running won't change your fate, sweetie. You're my prey, and I've been looking for you."

She purred, her voice a haunting blend of velvet and steel.

Adrian's mind raced as he tried to find a way out. His instincts screamed at him to flee, but every direction seemed to close.

The woman's movements were fluid and precise, her every step echoing her confidence.

Her eyes, bright with an otherworldly light, tracked his every movement, and her inhuman speed made her a blur.

The woman took a deliberate step closer, her eyes never leaving Adrian. The blue light from her eyes illuminated the darkened warehouse.

"???: It's futile to hide, Adrian. I can sense your fear, your every heartbeat. You've come this far, and now it's time for you to face the truth."

Adrian, heart pounding and chest burning with the pain, struggled to steady himself.

He scanned the warehouse, desperate for any possible escape or tool that could help him.

"Adrian: This can't be happening… You can't do this?! I've done nothing to you, so why chase me?!"

He shouted, his voice a mix of desperation and defiance.

The woman's smile widened, her sharp fangs glinting in the dim light. She seemed to revel in his fear, her predatory instincts ignited by his helplessness.

"???: Oh, but I can, Adrian. And I will. It's all part of the plan."

With that, she advanced slowly, her grace and confidence unshaken. The shadows seemed to grow darker around her as if the warehouse itself were aligning with her will.

Adrian's mind raced as he looked for any opportunity to escape or to fight back.

His instincts were overwhelmed by the pain in his chest and the growing realization that he was facing a force far beyond his understanding.

"Adrian: Who are you?! No normal person should be able to move that fast or have glowing eyes?!"

His voice was a hoarse whisper, a stark contrast to the bravado he had tried to project moments ago.

She closed the distance between them, her predatory grace on full display.

Her smile, a chilling opposite to her earlier calm, revealed a set of razor-sharp fangs.

Her eyes, once human-like, had narrowed to slits, their blue glow intensifying.

"Selene: Still not understanding the situation my love? Well if you must know, my name is Selene Oluwaseun Blackwell, daughter of Andell Oluwaseun Blackwell and heir to the Blackwater coven."

He shook his head, his back pressing against the cold metal of the door.

"Adrian: Andell? Blackwater coven?? Who the hell is that??? WHAT the fuck is that????"

He said with a dumbfounded look on his face.

Selene sighed, her eyes reflecting a mix of irritation and annoyance.

"Selene: Well if you must know. Blackwater is a coven of Vampires, more specifically, the coven I'm destined to lead and will lead soon now that I've found a proper husband."

Adrian's breath hitched as he tried to process her words. He lost any sense of fear for a brief period as he rattled his brain trying to process all of this.

His mind was fully set on the one word "Husband", what exactly did she mean by that? Who was the husband she found? Was it him? Or was it someone else? These questions fueled his curiosity until he snapped back to reality.

His eyes, now heightened by whatever was going on inside his body saw a figure outside the building.

From outside of the building, the figure ran by the window, catching Adrian's eye as he quickly looked.

That is until Selene moved, with a swift movement, one of her hands clamped down on Adrian's right shoulder, her pointed nails were digging into his shoulder.

He shouted in pain as he winced at the pain, his eyes turned yellow again as they locked back onto her, they had turned blood red for a second, the opposite of her neon blue.

He growled, her face slowly inched closer and closer to his neck, before long, she opened her mouth, four sharp, curved fangs inched closer to his neck before she finally clamped down on his neck.

Adrian's chest continued to burn, he somehow gained the strength in that moment to shove Selene off, she flew backwards before landing without so much as a sound.

Her face dropped with his blood as her eyes glowed neon blue, a large smile bared across her face.

Blood dripped from her neon blue painted nails and lips, glistening in the dim light.

Selene lifted her hand, crimson and slick with Adrian's blood—the blood of her new husband.

Her smile was euphoric, her cheeks gaining a pinkish-red hue as she blushed, she felt a sudden heat emerge from within her own chest, it was unbearable as she hunched over in what appeared to be pain.

She placed a hand on her chest as the other was on her knee, she panted heavily as her chest burned hotter and hotter, soon she lifted her head towards Adrian.

Adrian, struggling to maintain his sanity, dropped to one knee. His breathing grew rapid and shallow, his heart pounding wildly in his chest. He fought to stay conscious.

Selene moaned as Adrian's own eyes glowed crimson, she grabbed the top of her suit and ripped it open, unveiling her bra, Adrian's eyes returned to their normal brown as he slowly made his way to the exit.

Selene's body was heating up whatever was happening to Adrian had caused her body to react.

She licked the blood from her fingers, savoring the taste of her new husband's blood.

Adrian walked out of the warehouse huffing as his head had gotten fuzzy, his eyes were glowing as he slowly made his way out of the alley towards the main street.

Every beat of his heart sent waves of fire through his veins. Adrian's eyes glowed intensely, his vision blurred by whatever was trying to take hold.

He gritted his teeth, already sharpened and aching, feeling as though his body was no longer his own.

He finally lost consciousness as he fell in front of his dorm.

Blood leaked from the bite on his shoulder, settling around him like a pool, back in the warehouse, Selene's ordeal was still going, her body was now fully naked as a pair of large bat wings had appeared on her back.

With drool dripping from her mouth, a bright blush across her face and her body in a state of ecstasy, she moaned as her hands were on her chest.

"Selene: It's so delicious~ it's so tantalizing~ Adrian, my love, look at what you've done to me~ making a lady feel like this and leaving right after~ naughty boyyyyy~"

Selene moved gracefully, tracing a finger from her bottom lip to the center of her chest, a symbol appeared upon her chest as well as several markings.

It was the symbol of bondage, a marking that only appears upon vampires who have forged a bond with their chosen mate.

The same symbol appeared on an unconscious Adrian's back.

Back in the warehouse, Selene's situation had finally reached its climax. Her body was now fully naked, large bat-like wings had sprouted from her back.

Drool dripped from her mouth, her face flushed with a deep blush. Her entire being was locked in a state of ecstasy, her hands resting on her chest as she moaned in pleasure.

Selene's voice rang out in the dim light, each word dripping with decadent pleasure.

"Selene: Mmm, it's so exquisitely delicious~ so achingly tantalizing~ Adrian, my beloved, witness what you've wrought upon me~ You've made a lady feel such exquisite ecstasy and then you dare to leave~ Oh, such a naughty boyyyyy~"

Her words were spoken in a lilting tone.

With a hungry and lustful look in her eyes, a hand moved between her legs, a moan escaped her lips as she blushed brighter.

She pulled her hand out as her fingers were slick with a clear liquid that dropped slowly onto the ground.

She smiled as she licked her fingers before sucking on them, soon speaking in the language of Vampires.

"Selene: Syka'ath or'veth~ zara'kul nari'val~ Adrithan, mya'roth, sah'kura thal'kareth na'sira~ Vasha'thal v'rieth si'lek~ aa'raath en'varis~"

Translation: You'll be mine soon, my love~ I was right to chose you, Adrian, a Dhampir of immense power, you may not know of what you are, but you shall soon my love~ and we will be wedded as Husband and Wife~

As she spoke, her eyes glowed with an intoxicating light, and the symbol of bondage continued to glow upon her chest, marking their profound and eternal bond.

Selene moved with a sensual grace, tracing a finger from her bottom lip down to the center of her chest. As she did, a symbol began to glow upon her skin—a symbol of bondage. This mark, a sigil of deep, eternal connection, appeared on her chest, signifying the bond she had forged with Adrian.

Soon the same symbol began to appear on Adrian's back as he lay unconscious, marking their shared fate. The intricate designs of the bondage symbol glowed faintly, signifying the mystical and binding connection between them.

Selene shuddered with a wave of overwhelming euphoria that rippled through her body, her senses heightened to an almost unbearable degree.

The pleasure was so intense that she could scarcely keep her composure, her entire body quivering as if on the brink of something powerful and uncontrollable.

She gasped, her breath coming in ragged bursts as drool dripped with every breath, the heat within her chest intensified, radiating outwards in pulsing waves of ecstasy.

She knew, with an instinctive certainty, what had caused this sudden state of heightened pleasure—Adrian.

The very thought of him sent another jolt of sensation coursing through her, almost too much to bear. She felt the bond between them solidify, an unbreakable tether of power and passion that linked their fates forever.

Selene's eyes rolled back as she succumbed to the sheer force of the connection, her body arching in response to the intense pleasure that racked her form. A low, throaty moan escaped her lips as she ran her hands down her body, feeling the heat rise beneath her skin.

The sensation of Adrian's blood still lingered on her lips, the taste of it fueling her desire, igniting the fire within her even further.

"Selene: Adrian… my love~"

She whispered, her voice dripping with both affection and lust.

"Selene: You've done something to me… something incredible…"

She could feel the symbol of bondage glowing on her chest, its warmth matching the inferno within her. The markings pulsed in rhythm with her heartbeat, their glow intensifying as the bond between her and Adrian grew stronger.

Selene reveled in it, a wicked smile spreading across her face as she realized the full extent of their connection.

"Selene: He's mine now."

She murmured to herself, her fingers tracing the glowing sigil on her chest.

"Selene: His body, mind, and soul… all mine. I knew i chose right that day four years ago~ He's a Dhampir after all, a powerful one as well, my bite should awaken his hidden heritage, and once he's fully awakened, we shall be wedded~"

The thought of Adrian, those glowing yellow eyes of his staring holes into her very being, the thought of him as her husband, it all only heightened her pleasure.

She licked her lips, savoring the lingering taste of his blood as her wings unfurled behind her, casting long shadows in the dim light of the warehouse.

She felt invincible, empowered by the bond they now shared.

But beneath the pleasure, there was something deeper—an intense hunger. A desire that went beyond the physical, beyond even the blood. It was a need to possess, to control, to dominate.

The bond between them was more than just a link; it was a declaration of ownership, she was now his, and Selene intended to claim what her place at his side, as it was rightfully hers.

As the euphoria continued to ripple through her, Selene stood tall, her wings spreading wide in a display of power.

She was no longer just a Vampire—she was something more, something stronger, something bound to Adrian.

She glanced down at the pool of blood where Adrian had once stood, and then to the pool beneath herself, her smile widening as she imagined what he was feeling.

This was only the beginning. Their bond, was now forged in blood and sealed in ecstasy, it would reshape their destinies.

And Selene, in the depths of her euphoria, could hardly wait to see where it would lead them.

Selene remained in the thrall of her euphoria, basking in the lingering waves of pleasure that pulsed through her body.

Her wings, still unfurled, stretched majestically behind her as the symbol of marriage - the sigil of bondage - glowed brightly on her chest.

She was entirely absorbed in the moment, her mind flooded with thoughts of Adrian and the bond that now linked them.
