Daniel chuckled, knowing the city was now a powder keg, but he was confident in his disguise.
Slowly moving towards the Falling Moon, he killed any member of the Salvation Church he encountered, leaving their bodies as a chilling message for his enemies.
His getup as a common thug blended perfectly with everyone. He was now lining up to enter the Falling Moon, surrounded by a group of gang members he had beaten up and forced to accompany him, making his disguise more believable. Afraid he would kill them, the gang members were trying to curry favor.
"Did you discover where he went!?" Near him, a couple of Salvation Church members were arguing.
"No, according to our information, he had just passed through here. He killed at least twenty members on his journey," one of them shared, his face furious.
"He's a coward! Attacking only those at the bronze rank!" roared the person who seemed to be the leader of the group.
"I heard from the others that he's a silver rank assassin who disguises himself as a bronze ranker to fool his enemies," said one of them.
Daniel, listening to them, sneered inwardly. If he were truly a silver ranker, he wouldn't be so cautious.
Their group entered the establishment, Daniel giving the gang members some change he had obtained from those he'd killed.
He left them with these words: "I'm going inside to talk to someone. Spend some time here, but if I discover any of you left or caused trouble..."
He didn't finish his words, only exuding his killing intent, causing the seven gang members to shiver.
The only reason he hadn't killed them was that he didn't smell any blood on them, though he had found them trying to rob a couple of weaklings.
Using his technique and experience, he snuck into the stairs without anyone finding him. His figure rapidly climbed to the top tower; he'd heard that Violet mostly stayed at the top of her establishment.
Arriving at the top, he no longer concealed his presence, causing the guards to panic as they grabbed their weapons and aimed them at him.
"I have come here under the invitation of Violet. Call her out," he lied with a calm expression.
The guards looked at each other, unsure what to do. Seeing his confidence and not having heard any news from the guards on the floors below made the situation quite complex.
One of the guards entered the room, seemingly to pass his message to Violet.
"Milady agrees for you to enter, but please leave your weapons here," the guard who had just entered came out with a solemn expression.
Daniel wasn't worried. Besides, he was as dangerous as before, even without his weapons.
Letting them touch around his body to find the weapons, with multiple hidden weapons, along with two short swords, the guards grew more and more solemn. His weapons and the way he hid them indicated he was an assassin. They had confidence in their Milady, but letting him just pass through was not something they could easily swallow.
Suddenly, Daniel's eyes widened as he looked at one of the guards who was grabbing his belongings.
She was frowning. "What kind of weapon are you hiding behind your pants!? You might think you're quite clever, but do you really think we'd be averse to checking your manhood!?"
He suddenly released his killing intent. "That thing you're holding IS my manhood!"
Everyone was startled by his outburst, but his words suddenly registered in their minds as they all turned to the thing being held by their comrade.
"Im-impossible! This thing is too big to be a man's thing! You're clearly lying!" the guard was confident in her words.
Just as the tension was rising, Violet came out of her room and looked at the situation.
She smiled and said, "Let him in. There's no need for further examination. Besides, he could kill everyone here, probably including me, without any trouble."
The guards were shocked.
"Let go of my thing, woman! This is your last warning!" He was getting angry.
During his climb here, he had encountered many scenes that made his blood boil with beastly desire. Right now, it was really hard, which made the guard confused it with a weapon. For her, such a ridiculous size should not exist, and she was confident that he was lying.
She could only reluctantly let go, staring at him with intensity. She would not hesitate to attack him if he ever tried anything against their Milady.
"Tch! I didn't expect I'd visit your place and get humiliated," he complained.
Violet chuckled, but she was inwardly shocked. She could see the shape of his dragon underneath his tight suit. She also felt that it was too exaggerated and was probably a hidden weapon he cherished.
She nodded her head and stopped thinking about it. She felt like she was talking to a virgin and probably had no idea that male things were not able to grow that big.
Inside her room was a large bed. It looked exactly like a bedroom rather than a study room, surprising Daniel slightly.
"Have you eaten yet? I can call one of my subordinates to cook for you," she asked.
"No need. You should know what I came here for. Surely, I've given you enough time to investigate the whereabouts of my target," he said. Hearing this, Violet chuckled.
"Oh, I did, and you know what I discovered? Your target is actually a member of the Salvation Church, and furthermore, he's a key figure." Hearing this, Daniel slightly raised an eyebrow.
"Are you sure about this? My target is only a bronze ranker. Surely his position isn't that important," he was a bit doubtful.
"Yes, I was surprised too. He's actually a spy planted by the Salvation Church into Crystal Night," she shared a shocking news.
Daniel finally realized why the Salvation Church was able to infiltrate the city with ease. They must have had multiple spies in the city, conducting constant investigations, gathering as much intel as they could.
"What makes him so important?" He knew that there was probably more than one spy stationed in the city.
Violet chuckled. "Because he actually managed to partner up with one of the noble families back in the city."
Daniel was greatly shaken, but his killing intent did not decrease. In fact, he became more determined to kill his target.
"Where is he currently?" he asked, startling Violet. She hadn't expected him to continue his mission.
"In the church right at the center of the city, but that place is the territory of the Salvation Church. Stationed within it are multiple silver rankers and a gold ranker," she stated.
Daniel nodded his head. "It doesn't change that my target is only a bronze ranker. He's the only person I need to kill."
He turned to her and said, "I'm grateful to you. I have some connections with the city lord. I'm going to tell him about your help and persuade him to let you back into the city."
She was startled, but she could only smile bitterly and shake her head. "No need. If I wanted to, I could have returned to the city."
"Then, I apologize for my words. Then, how about an alliance between the two of us? If you can have some of your people enter the city, you can ask for me in the mercenary guild."
"I agree! Who wouldn't agree to become your ally, but the prerequisite for this is that you survive your task," she chuckled once more.
"If you wish to find me in the city, just state my title, Shadow. No wait, that would be too simple. Then call me Bloody Vine."
Taking back his weapon, he could see that the guard who stopped him earlier was still suspicious of him.
Without hesitation, he grabbed her hand and put it inside his pants.
As she screamed after touching his monster, he left with a smile on his face.
Taking with him the gangsters he had beaten up, he told them that they would go to the brothel near the church.
Of course, they agreed without hesitation, but looking at their exhausted appearance, Daniel could only sigh. Fortunately for him, they were expendables. He had no expectations towards them at all.
Seeing their group of misfits traveling with a rowdy atmosphere, the people of the Salvation Church ignored them, considering them too weak in their eyes.
This was just the thing that Daniel sought for, he needs to find his target and the only way for him to achieve this is for him to infiltrate the church.
But this is easier said than done as he knows that the security of such power is airtight.
There is also the fact that they have modified humans that have strange abilities capable of many things.
He has to play it right or else, he might not escape alive to return back to his family.
