Chapter 2 - Do You Need A Media Assistant, Sang Young?

"How about this, let's each take a step back. What about 60-40? With this, we can still make some money." After finding out that Atlas was adamant, Madam Chang had no choice but to take a step back. After all, she was very optimistic about this movie.

"That's a good deal." Atlas readily agreed. Cinemas usually take 60% of the box office, and there's nothing they could do about that. Without theaters, movies would have nowhere to be released. And right now, he did not have the ability to build a cinema chain.

For the remaining 40%, if Atlas and Busan Entertainment each get 60% and 40%, it would be much more than what their previous work, Atlantis Princess generated.

Madam Chang sighed helplessly. This young man was really a piece of work.

After the profit sharing was discussed, Atlas did not leave immediately, but asked. "Madam Chang, I'm looking for an assistant to help me with some media stuffs. Is there anyone you can recommend?"

"Hmm?" Madam Chang's face suddenly showed a hint of surprise. "You.., after you made some money, you're now trying to poach my people?"

"Not at all, Madam Chang. It doesn't have to be from your company."

"Mhm." She said with a side eye, but suddenly seemed to have thought of something. "But there is a suitable candidate. She just came back from studying abroad, and she's very capable. Most importantly, she's a beautiful woman."

Atlas looked at Madam Chang's expression and felt it was somehow strange. "In that case, I'd like you to introduce me to her."

Madam Chang suddenly laughed and said that the other party was already here, in the company. She made a phone call, and soon, a woman pushed open the office door and walked in.

Madam Chang was right, she was indeed a beauty. She was tall and wore a pair of black-framed glasses. If an ordinary-looking person wore black-framed glasses, they might look a little old-fashioned, but on her delicate face, it was unique.

As she walked in with her high heels, her straight long legs made Atlas, who was used to seeing beauties in the entertainment industry, take a few more glances.

The young lady stared Atlas for a moment, and then looked at Madam Chang. "Mom, what do you need me for?"

Mom? Atlas looked at the mother and daughter curiously. They did look somewhat similar.

"Nothing, didn't you say you want to expand your work experience? Well, Mr. Sang happens to need an assistant. I don't know if you are interested." Madam Chang looked at Atlas with a half-smile, and there was a hint of mischief in her tone.

Looked like a matchmaker. Atlas burst out laughing.

"Mr. Sang Young? Is he the director you mentioned before, the one who is making wave as the new talent in town, the one who wrote and directed Atlantis Princess?" The woman's eyes lit up and she took two steps forward, extending her right hand. "Hello, I'm Chang Mi-Sun."

Atlas shook hands with her. "Hi, I'm Sang Young."

Seeing the two people greet each other, Madam Chang casually stood up. "You two can talk about it here. I'll go and take a look at what's going on outside."

She quickly left her office, leaving this place to Atlas and Chang Mi-Sun.

Chang Mi-Sun pulled over a chair and sat down. "My mother told me about you. She said you are young, promising, talented, and handsome."

Chang Mi-Sun looked at Atlas and fully affirmed the look in her old mother's eyes.

Atlas was stunned for a moment. He was clearly here to recruit a media assistant, but why did it become like a blind date? "Well, Madam Chang really has a good eye and excellent at judging people."

"I guess my mum does." Atlas's words really surprised Chang Mi-Sun.

"Okay, Ms. Chang. I know you can stay here to work for your mum, but what do you think of being my assistant?"

"Well, it depends, Mr. Sang." Chang Mi-Sun blinked and asked back. "What are your requirements for an assistant?"

Atlas could feel a strong sense of self-confidence from her. So, he unceremoniously threw a difficult question to her. "Ms. Chang, the problem is that I have a wager with the famous Director, Han Suk. How do you think I should go about this?"

Was this an interview question? Chang Mi-Sun's expression became much more serious as she observed Sang Young. "I know a little bit about it, but It's not a big deal. It's very common in the entertainment industry. Simply put, there are three strategic paths: high, medium and low."

Three strategic paths: top, middle and bottom? Atlas brows furrowed in curiosity. This woman was indeed very confident.

Chang Mi-Sun stretched out a finger. "The best strategy is for your next movie to have a high enough box office, far exceeding Han Suk's movie box office, and public opinion will naturally be on your side. Then you will have both popularity and box office success."

She studied Atlas's expression. He was neither sad nor happy, no obvious reaction. Good. Chang Mi-Sun stretched out her second finger. "Second, you can contact Han Suk privately, and work together to make the matter bigger, start a war of words just to keep the incident hot. In this way, when the movie is released, both parties can get enough box office revenue and make great profit."

"I'm listening."
