With all of the seven Little Suns gathered, General Vargas began the briefing for their quest in Grimcloud.
"As His Majesty has ordered, all of Your Highnesses will depart to Grimcloud Forest in order to subjugate the invisible monsters and eradicate the white fog engulfing the entire region." said the armored elderly woman. "At the request of the Emperor, the Imperial Army have formed an invasion plan for the sake of achieving the two objectives."
General Vargas then pointed to the large map of Grimcloud laid at the round table.
"As marked on the map, the fog had extended not only to the forest's border, but beyond it as well. Jeopardizing the settlements at the outskirts of Grimcloud." told the woman. "Fortunately, the Imperial Army managed to evacuate the settlements and formed a barricade around the entire forest. All were done to contain the spread of the monsters that lurked within the fog."
"Let me guess," spoke up the First Princess. "that is the extent of what father allowed the Imperial Army to do in regards of the Grimcloud phenomenon."
General Vargas nodded.
"Indeed, Princess Titania. His Majesty has ordered the army not to proceed to the forest and to only maintain the barricade." said the general. "As mentioned before, the duties to march toward the forest and solve the entire situation lies upon Your Highnesses' shoulders."
"So how are we going to proceed from this point on?" asked the Doomed Prince.
"Upon the Emperor's advisement, the Imperial Army have set entry point and subjugation area for each of the Little Sun." said General Vargas.
"So each of us will enter Grimcloud in different direction from one another and clear out the monsters in our assigned area." confirmed the Third Prince.
"Indeed, Prince Josiah. We've divided regions of Grimcloud in accordance to the known strength of the Little Suns' army." said General Vargas. She proceeded to tell their assignments.
"Princess Titania will enter the forest from the north and handle the vast prairie throughout the northern march of the forest as well as the northern main road. That area is the biggest of all and populated with the most monsters based on the scout's report.
"Prince Cedric will enter the forest from the south and secure the southern prairie as well as the southern main road. The second largest region.
"Princess Vivienne will enter from the west and secure the woodland region as well as the western main road.
"Prince Aristo will enter from the southeast, through a valley, and secure the mountains-locked glade.
"Princess Jasmine will enter from the northeast and secure the marshland region.
"Prince Josiah will enter from the east and secure the area along the Grimm River as well as the eastern main road.
"While Prince Chono will enter from the northwest and secure the hilly region."
The seven royalties then examined the map of Grimcloud as they had been given their region of assignment. They all soon noticed one thing amiss from the general's explanation.
"What about the basin at the center of the forest?" asked Titania. "Who is going to take care of that location?"
As if she had been expecting to be asked the question, General Vargas produced a paper with a drawing of a large ghastly monster on it.
"One of our scouts spot this creature lingering in the basin at the center of Grimcloud." said General Vargas. "It is not something that we've ever encountered before but we assume this huge monster is the source of the white fog and the appearance of the invisible monsters."
The royalties raised their eyebrows in interest upon the general's words.
"So if we kill this beast, the whole incident will be solved?" asked the Fourth Prince.
"Yes, Prince Chono. The ultimate goal of this entire operation is to eradicate the huge monster at the center of the forest."
"So who will be tasked to kill the creature?" asked the Second Princess.
"Well, Princess Vivienne," replied General Vargas. "your father thought all of you could decide on that matter yourself."
The seven royalties furrowed their brows upon the elderly woman's statement.
"Father wanted us to decide who will be the one to handle the beast?" confirmed the Third Princess.
"Exactly, Princess Jasmine. His Majesty said that all of you knew which of you is the best of all to handle the beast." said the general. "And that His Majesty would be extremely grateful to the one that will slay the creature."
The Little Suns except for Aristo smiled widely upon the message relay of the Emperor. They knew what their father was trying to tell them about the large monster.
[Race to the basin and whoever kills the beast first would make themselves deemed worthier for the throne of Terraluna.]
Aristo also knew what his father was trying to imply. But he did not care for it since he knew he had little chance against the invisible monsters, let alone the large beast at the center of Grimcloud. It would take a miracle for the Doomed Prince to be able to defeat the creature.
"Is there anything else you wish to speak to us, General Vargas?"
Titania's voice disrupted Aristo from his slight wondering. To which, General Vargas simply shook her head.
"No, Your Highness. That concludes the briefing." said the armored elderly woman. "You are free to begin your quest right now."
Upon the general's words, the seven Little Suns immediately rose from their seats. They all, except for Aristo, had this enthusiastic smile hanging over their faces. Like a hunter who was about to embark on a hunt for a prized game.
"Well then, what are we waiting for?" spoke merrily by the First Princess, the noblest and most powerful Little Sun of them all. "Let's get ourselves to Grimcloud!"
