Chapter 38 - Waves

The boy walked silently upon the coarse soothing sand, his cloths casual and slightly dirtied, yet no mark of the state of his clothes boar upon his face. The boy had a simple smile, one that rarely shined in the sunlight, one which was normally manufactured to please others. There was no one around him like all those other times, and with his straw woven hat dawned by his beloved father, the boy walked to the shores.

Sun of the blue sky shined down upon him and the endless beach, yet its warmth was not oppressive, merely welcoming and invigorating his existence, with the salty wind that caressed his skin the boy did not overheat, yet he did not shiver.

It was perfect, the sand was coarse but not to damp as to pull his feet down, the breeze was strong enough to flow his clothes, and yet not strong enough to push them from him. The early morning sun had emerged from the iridescent crystal ocean that spanned the horizon, and from its eternal heat the earth welcomed in kind.

The boy watched the waves swash upon the shore, he let the noises of the ocean fill his mind, the worries doubts and fears all dampened in the tide, eventually like the sand of the shore, they were washed away.

He sat upon the camp chair and gazed upon the horizon, all that he had ever known was nowhere to be seen, the world that he knew was not present, all there was the ocean, sand and sky. The boy under there embrace felt no different than the land.

He let himself bask under the earth and fell into the imaginative stories at his hand, for the wonder of the world did not seem so conflicting. The boy let the peace fill his mind and fill his soul.

For any trouble that would ever dare him in the future.

The boy would think back and let the sea's tide carry them away.

He would stand upon the sand and feel the grains that supported him.

And he would look to the sky see how far he could go.

For the sun that dawned above him.

He would always remember.

He was existence, he was with life, the boy's steps will always remain.

And upon the shore, he and the beach would never forget.

For his marks would forever imprint the sand.

Until the very same ocean he loved washed them away.

becoming the very peace he held so dearly.
