After 2 chapters of bullshit, it's finally time for some action! Is what I'd like to say, but recently, there hasn't been a lot of requests in the adventurer's guild…. For C ranked adventurers.
Just a quick review, I now have 2 C to C+ ranked spirit… Although at first, I planned to keep it a secret, Izzi and Yue went around the adventurer's guild and kept on boasting around about it…. I mean, they looked so cute while doing it so I couldn't really stop them… I mean, I thought people wouldn't believe them and just shrug it off…. But they made a big deal about it… and now I'm a C+ ranked adventurer, with the rank of "#13". This means that I am the 13th strongest adventurer…. In the world….. My party is still the same, just the four of us, but now we're counted as a C+ ranked party…. Despite most of them only being around E- to E rank. And now, the guild won't allow me to take lower ranked quests, saying it would take away job opportunities from other lower ranked adventurers and whatnots…. Urgh, what a pain
It's been 3 weeks since the incident in the mansion, and I still haven't gotten a single request. What's even the point of ranking up if it just means finding a job is harder? I mean, it's not like I need to work thank to the extravagant budget Pareo gave us but still, I'm bored…. Maybe I should go on a short travel to another city? Like a vacation? By myself? While Izzi and the rest can form another party and go on a mission by themselves? I'd probably leave Ifrit with them for safety sake though. Shieru should be enough for me, I guess…
At the dinner table, 4 people sat on a long table enough to hold 100 people, but they sat close to each other, and are talking like a family- contradictory to the elegant, formal and stiff room.
"So… that's basically it, I was planning to go to another town to see what I can do, while you guys form a new party and do quests here, since we aren't doing anything here anyways."
"Ehh?? Could it be… Master doesn't like us anymore and is planning to abandon us…? I mean, sure, we're mere E ranks, but I promise, we'll get stronger and eventually catch up to master, we won't be a burden, so please… take us with you.." Izzi says in a sad voice, while looking down with tears in her eyes.
"No.. I'd never think like that, I just figured it would be better this way, we can both explore the world, and do quests. I mean, there's nothing we can do here anyways… right? I'm sure the two of you would rather go on an adventure by yourself rather than with me… It would be boring if I came along anyways, and wouldn't you feel more comfortable when your parties is filled with people of the same gender? Not to worry, Ifrit'll follow you so you'll definitely be safe as well," I said while hugging Izzi.
"No! We'd prefer to go with master! How could we even think like that? After all master's done for us….." Yue shouts, in a sad voice, which started loud, but the volume slowly turned down, until only a mumble remains.
Why was I so stupid? How could I even think of leaving them behind? I mean, it's not because I simp for them ok? I just feel bad.
"Sorry, I was mistaken. I'll bring the two of you, don't worry about it," I say while patting their heads.
"Well then…. Since you guys are leaving, mind if I give you a recommendation on where to go?" Pareo says in a light tone
"Yeah, sure! If possible, I'd prefer it to not be too far though, I'd like to come back soon also, it'll just be change of pace, we'll still be in your care," I reply.
"I see, well then, how about journeying to cave wouln? You'll have to pass through mount Olympus first though. But not to worry, there shouldn't be any threats above D rank. It'll take about 2 weeks to pass Mount Olympus, and another 3 weeks to get there. So the journey will take at least 2.5 months, and longer depending on how long you stay and your pace. There, you'll find the city of dwarves. There might be some higher ranked requests there, and you can also get new equipment!"
"Hmm, that does sound interesting…"
"Yup! Well then, just let me know how much budget you approximately need, and what else I can help with, I'll see what I can do. Also let me know before you leave, I'll prepare some horses."
"Nnng, thanks."
