Chapter 106 - Chapter 106.

Obius opened his eyes in shock.

"What?"

"Dad…"

As Lena spoke, still wide-eyed, Obius quickly recalled that despite her surprising words, Lena was still mentally young. He composed himself and gently calmed his excited heart, speaking in a soft voice.

"Lena, tell me. Do you want to explain everything to Dad?"

"Yes! So, Mom…"

Lena told Obius everything—about what she and her mother had been discussing in her room, and even about the plans for the next evening.

Then, she handed him a piece of paper with an address scribbled on it.

"Mom asked me to come with Zeon tomorrow night."

Obius' eyes widened.

'This… it's really Bianca's handwriting. But... vampires? They loathe the living. Vampires, especially, are notorious for destroying those closest to them. She's plotting something sinister, using Bianca.'

He forced his trembling hands to calm down and smiled, asking Lena softly.

"Lena, would it be possible for Dad and your sister to join you tomorrow?"

"No~ Mom said only Zeon and I could come. She'd be upset if I brought someone else."

"I see. Well, after you come back, tell Dad how it went, alright?"

"Okay!"

Lena cheerfully answered before scampering out of the room. The moment the door closed, Obius leapt from the bed.

'I have to stop Bianca. If I go with Lena, Bianca might sense something and escape. I need to act separately from her.'

He loved his wife dearly, but she was no longer the person she once was. His priorities now were Lena and Inora—their safety meant more to him than his fallen wife.

Obius immediately summoned the old butler, Gustavo. Despite the late hour, Gustavo's demeanor remained composed and respectful.

"Obius, what brings you here at this hour?"

"This is a crisis. Bianca has become a vampire and approached Lena."

"Really?"

"Yes. I need you to handle two things."

"Of course. What are your orders?"

"First, check Bianca's grave and confirm if her body is still there. Second, I need thorough research on the address Lena gave me—what buildings are nearby, who owns them, anything relevant. Vampires might notice activity during the night, so investigate as soon as the sun rises."

"I will see to it immediately."

With that, Gustavo bowed and vanished.

Obius suspected there might be more undead lurking around Bianca, as the undead tend to gather, drawn to each other's death energy. Realizing this, he decided to mobilize the Magic Tower's reserve force using his authority as its lord. The Magic Tower may focus on education and research, but it's also a formidable military force of wizards and magical engineers. In times of war or danger, the professors and students act as soldiers. As the tower's lord, Obius had the power to deploy this reserve force at a moment's notice, reporting to the imperial government afterward.

'Let's start by asking the professors and researchers close to me for help. The graduate students will follow.'

He opened the closet where his old weapons were kept. Neatly arranged inside were his light combat armor and his magic wand, relics from his youth.

"I thought I'd never use these again after becoming the Magic Tower's lord…"

Obius inspected his weapons carefully, applying fresh oil to them.

Before he knew it, dawn had broken.

Without wasting time, he went straight to the Magic Tower, called upon his trusted professors and researchers, and explained the situation. No one dared refuse his request. Together, they agreed to lead the graduate students and participate in the mission to eradicate the undead.

Soon after, old butler Gustavo returned with grim news—Bianca's grave was empty, and the address Lena provided was tied to an abandoned house in a nearby slum. No undead were inside, confirming Obius' suspicions.

'They must be hiding deep in the sewers. Once we gather at the abandoned house, we'll strike all at once.'

Obius and the professors began mapping out their plan to surround the house and take down the undead without alerting them.

Monday Morning

I, Zeon, woke up with a deep stretch.

"Ugh! Another fresh start!"

Next to me, Aris, still naked, stirred awake.

"Zeon~ You're already up~"

She smiled lazily, rubbing her belly. "I'm still full from last night."

Last night, I'd spent hours with Aris, pouring everything I had into her. Now, the satisfied look on her face made me smile.

I kissed her forehead gently and got out of bed. As I walked downstairs, I caught the smell of sizzling sausages.

Looking into the kitchen, I saw Kasha in an apron, her wolf tail swaying as she prepared breakfast.

"Sister Kasha, you're cooking?"

"What's with that face? I'm pretty good at it too, you know!"

"Oh, wow! Breakfast prepared by Kasha herself. I'm excited."

"Hehe, you should be!"

Kasha brought over a plate packed with scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, and boiled potatoes.

"And this is… an English breakfast?"

"Why, darling? Is there a problem?"

"No, no. Just wondering if it's okay to eat something this heavy for breakfast."

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You release so much energy, darling. You need to replenish it."

"That's true… Well then, I'll enjoy it!"

Before long, Aris, Jenny, and Kasha were all seated at the table, digging into their plates.

Everyone was quietly focused, munching away at Kasha's surprisingly delicious breakfast.

After finishing my meal, I showered and changed into my academy uniform.

"Another day at school."

When I stepped outside, all three—Kasha, Jenny, and Aris—were waiting for me.

"Are we going together?" I asked, looking at them with a raised brow.

"Kyahaha~ Of course we are!"

"If you do this, everyone's going to notice me! I'll be famous!"

"Who do you want to go with then?"

At Kasha's teasing question, all three of them stared at me, their eyes boring holes into my soul. I felt sweat break out on my back. They were clearly warning me: choose wisely.

"Uh… uh… hehe, we're all family. Of course, we'll go together."

"I'll hold Zeon's left hand."

"Zeon's right hand is mine."

"Then I'm holding darling's… uh, you know."

I walked out the door with a slightly flushed face, one hand in Jenny's, the other in Aris', while Kasha's hand casually slipped down the back of my pants.

"Ugh… I'm doomed."

"Hehe~ Darling, your butt is always so soft whenever I touch it."

"Zeon, hold my hand tighter."

"Zeon, want me to hold something else?"

"No! It's fine!"

Being dragged along by my three wives, I felt dazed. Thankfully, there weren't too many people on the streets today. Even the ones that were there only gave us quick glances. Still, if this keeps up and the number of wives keeps growing, I'll be famous for sure.

[Ding~ Correct answer.]

For the first time in ages, the status window showed something positive.

'Damn… if I become too famous, no one will dare point fingers at me thanks to the strength and influence of my wives. Might as well embrace it and let fame come sooner rather than later.'

We parted ways at the academy entrance. Jenny went to her job as a maid, Kasha to lead the Kasha Clan, and Aris joined me for our dungeon exploration class.

After finishing enough classes, I headed towards the random magic course. As I was walking, Lena suddenly grabbed my hand.

"Zeon, can I ask you a favor?"

"What's up, Lena?"

"Well… would you explore an abandoned house with me tonight?"

"Why so suddenly?"

"I'm just curious. Please? If you don't go with me, I'll go alone, and I'm scared…"

"Of course."

"Yay! Let's meet at the main gate after dinner tonight, okay?"

"Alright."

Lena left, her face glowing with excitement. Sometimes, I think she's a bit quirky.

'A night exploration with Lena? They say fear brings people closer together. Maybe this will be my chance.'

With 300 Luck on my side, what's there to be scared of? Sure, seeing a ghost would be terrifying, but I had a feeling my luck would keep me safe.

"Haha… not even a ghost could outmatch my luck, right?"

I spent the next few hours studying random magic under the tutelage of Dr. Wily, immersing myself in my lessons.

.

.

.

Soon enough, it was dinner time, and I made my way to the academy's main gate.

"Zeon! Over here!"

Lena waved excitedly.

"Lena! Have you been waiting long?"

"Nope, I just got here. Let's go!"

"Sure."

"Hehe, it's another date with Zeon~"

"It's an exploration, Lena."

"Whatever, it'll still be fun. Trust me."

"Have you been to this house before?"

"Nope! First time."

"Then how can you be so sure?"

"Melong~"

Lena stuck her tongue out playfully. I chuckled and patted her head, deciding not to ask any more questions.

We hopped into the carriage, and Lena gave the coachman the address. He tilted his head, a bit puzzled. "That's in the slums…" he muttered under his breath before urging the horses forward.

————

Meanwhile, Kasha was on her way back after dinner. Her dorm had been her home for so long, but recently, Zeon's place had started to feel more like the real deal.

"Kyaha~ So this is what it feels like to live together? Way more fun than I thought."

As she strolled, Kasha's keen nose picked up a familiar scent.

Sniff, sniff.

"This is Zeon's scent… but where's it coming from?"

Without hesitation, Kasha dashed toward the source of the scent. In the distance, she spotted a carriage—inside were Zion and Lena.

'Darling… you're meeting a new woman again, aren't you?' Kasha's brow furrowed, but she knew what Zeon's mission entailed. Despite her mild irritation, she didn't intervene.

'Darling, if she's not worth it, I'll take care of her myself. You know that, right?'

Kasha's wild instincts urged her to tail them. Darting across the rooftops, she kept her distance but stayed close enough to track them. With her enhanced physical abilities, keeping up with the carriage was child's play—easier than drinking cold soup. Hidden by the cover of night, no one noticed her shadowy presence.

——

Eventually, the carriage arrived in the slums. The area was bleak, the people's faces etched with exhaustion and despair.

Lena clung to my arm, and I could feel her unease.

"Zeon… maybe we shouldn't have come?"

"You're skilled with magic now, sister. With the two of us together, no one here can touch us."

Lena nodded, her grip on my arm loosening a bit.

When we reached the address, we found ourselves standing before a large, decrepit mansion. Its appearance screamed neglect—aged, ugly, and empty, as though no one had lived there in years.

I couldn't help but wonder how on earth Lena had come across such a place.
