Chapter 356 - Mistaken Identity

This war between the Imperial Guards and the Revolutionary Army, later referred to by historians as the "Rebellion Suppression War," ended swiftly with the complete defeat of the Revolutionary Army. In the end, they fell under Kaguya's command. The Imperial Guards gained not only tens of thousands of additional troops but also a substantial amount of weaponry and supplies. Although the quality of the soldiers still needed improvement, there was no denying that the strength of the Imperial Guards had significantly increased.

Unfortunately, Night Raid chose to leave despite Kaguya's efforts to recruit them. The silver lining, however, was their promise that as long as Kaguya didn't act like the Prime Minister and rule tyrannically, they wouldn't stand against her. This brought some comfort to Kaguya, who was otherwise disappointed by their departure.

To Kaguya's surprise, Akame chose to stay behind, devouring food with such enthusiasm that Kaguya suspected she had only stayed to mooch off meals.

Kaguya, being well-off, wasn't concerned. Feeding one extra mouth wasn't going to bankrupt her. Plus, gaining another capable fighter was a small consolation.

However, what annoyed Kaguya was how ever since Akame arrived, she constantly stuck by her sister, guarding her like a wolf watching over its sheep. Akame monitored them day and night, ensuring Kaguya couldn't get close to Kurome without her noticing. There was even an instance in the middle of the night when Akame barged into Kaguya's room, catching her and Kurome in the middle of an intimate moment, and dragged Kurome away despite her protests. This left Kaguya frustrated and in a rather unsatisfied mood.

"Do they really think I'm harmless because I haven't shown my full power?" Kaguya grumbled to herself.

When Kaguya came downstairs with dark circles under her eyes, breakfast was already prepared. She couldn't help but praise Air once again, who kept everything in the household running smoothly and cooked meals that had completely spoiled Kaguya's tastebuds.

Breakfast was as rich and exquisite as usual. Since Akame, the glutton, had come into the picture, the palace's food supplies were being consumed at an alarming rate, and even Air was struggling to keep up.

"Your Highness, breakfast is ready," Air said warmly, flashing Kaguya a gentle smile. "I made your favorite red bean dumplings."

"Really?" Kaguya's eyes lit up as she eagerly walked over. Red bean dumplings were her absolute favorite, a treat she could never get enough of.

Just then, Akame walked in from the bedroom and sat down at the dining table without so much as glancing at Kaguya, treating her as though she were invisible. Kurome soon followed, sitting next to Kaguya with a slightly flushed face and giving her a shy, apologetic smile.

Kaguya glanced at Kurome's delicate face and let out a small sigh. Had she known Akame would be this clingy, she never would have invited her. Akame was like a shadow, constantly hovering around, making it impossible for Kaguya and Kurome to enjoy their private time.

"If she keeps testing my patience, I might really end up 'devouring' her," Kaguya thought as she watched Akame devour her food, annoyed.

Just as Kaguya was stewing in her frustration, she suddenly felt something soft brush against her leg. Glancing down, she saw a small, pale hand, soft and tender, caressing her leg. It was Kurome's hand.

Kaguya smirked and grabbed the hand, gently squeezing it. Kurome's hand was soft and delicate, her skin smooth and supple with the vibrancy of youth.

Kurome's face remained composed, but beneath the table, her hand entwined with Kaguya's, their fingers intertwining playfully.

Suddenly, Kaguya's foot brushed against something soft. A mischievous smile crept onto her face.

"This little one is getting bolder," Kaguya thought.

She extended her leg, trapping the soft object between her thighs. The sensation was incredibly smooth, almost like silk, hinting that the foot's owner might be wearing stockings. The foot tried to pull away, but Kaguya wasn't about to let it go so easily. She clenched her thighs, holding the foot in place, while her toes playfully teased the other set of toes, locking them together. The silky, ticklish feeling was oddly pleasant, even for someone like Kaguya, who had never been particularly interested in feet.

The foot struggled a few more times, but it couldn't escape Kaguya's grasp. Eventually, the resistance ceased, and Kaguya took full advantage of the situation.

Air, Fal, and Luna—three young girls with small appetites—finished their meal first and left the table. This left Kaguya, Akame, and Kurome alone. With fewer interruptions, the atmosphere beneath the table became even more flirtatious.

"I'm done," Kurome said, wiping her mouth with a napkin. She stood up, gave Kaguya a playful wink, and left the room.

Kaguya froze, her mind blank for a moment. The soft sensation under her foot was still there, meaning it wasn't Kurome's foot she had been playing with this whole time. If it wasn't Kurome, then that could only mean—

In that instant, the foot jerked away from under the table, and Akame abruptly stood up, her cheeks flushed pink like a blooming rose. She glanced at Kaguya for a brief moment before quickly running upstairs, her footsteps echoing as she dashed away.

Kaguya was left in an awkward silence, realizing too late that the foot she had been teasing all this time belonged to Akame. She had probably been sitting too close, and Kaguya had grabbed the wrong foot by mistake.

Now, things were awkward.

At that moment, Luna, one of the three sisters, ran up to Kaguya, stopping right in front of her.

Her face was small and delicate, with light blue hair framing her features. It was Luna.

"What's up? Is something wrong?" Kaguya asked, blinking in curiosity.

Since Kaguya had met the three sisters over a year ago, they had slowly started to grow into young women. Once-flat figures had begun to develop, particularly Luna, whose body had matured noticeably. Her figure was becoming curvier, and her once-flat chest had started to show signs of growth. In fact, Luna's development was the most remarkable of the three, with her slender waist and fuller hips complementing her emerging womanly charm.

Most notably, Luna's chest had grown significantly, surpassing even Kurome's and approaching Sayo's in size. Coupled with her innocent, youthful face, she fit the classic "loli with a large chest" trope perfectly.

Despite her physical changes, Luna remained reserved and soft-spoken, so Kaguya wondered what had brought her here today.

"N-Nothing much," Luna stammered, her face flushing slightly. "What you asked me to make... it's finished."

Kaguya's eyes lit up. Could it be that those items were finally done?
