"Where has my sister gone?"
In the moonlit garden, filled with plants and trees casting their shade, a young girl was pacing. She held a small red flower, plucking its petals one by one, lost in thought.
This girl had long, flowing black hair nearly reaching her waist, with two strands tied in ribbons resting on her chest. Her face was delicate and refined, with fair skin and features as if painted, still showing a hint of youthful innocence, yet she carried the unique grace of a young woman.
She wore an orange short kimono with a wide sash and small geta on her feet, revealing a portion of her white legs. She was Hinata's younger sister, Hanabi Hyuga.
"Could she have gone to find that person?" Hanabi tossed the flower casually into the bushes, "Should I go too?" showing a slight reluctance.
While defending against the meteorites, she naturally saw Kaguya appearing like a goddess descending from the heavens, but towards this sister in name, she always felt a sense of awe mixed with fear, something she couldn't quite understand. This inexplicable feeling made her keep a respectful distance from Kaguya, even though Kaguya never intended any harm.
However, as the night deepened and Hinata still hadn't returned home, Hanabi grew increasingly worried. Although Kaguya had shattered the main meteor, many smaller ones continued to sporadically fall from the sky. Even a small meteor the size of a fist could easily puncture through a solid building.
Watching the Konoha ninjas vigilantly guarding against the sky's meteorites, Hanabi bit her lip, contemplating going to find Hinata. She and Hinata had always shared a close bond; Hinata had always taken care of her, often bearing their father's reprimands herself and even deliberately losing to Hanabi, making Hanabi both respect and love her elder sister deeply.
Just as Hanabi was about to head to Kaguya's house to find Hinata, three figures suddenly streaked across the sky like phantoms, rushing toward her.
"Who's there?"
Startled, Hanabi quickly turned around, reaching for the kunai on her body, but it was already too late.
Moonlight poured down, reflecting in a pool of water, shimmering and sparkling.
Mei Terumi suddenly pushed Kaguya away, wiping her lips still wet, looking amused, feigning anger, "What are you doing?"
"Mei," Kaguya ignored Mei's protest, took her smooth, fair hand, and whispered, "I've always liked you, but never had the chance to say it."
Mei was taken aback by Kaguya's words, then chuckled, "Don't joke around. Do you want a beating for making such jokes?"
"No, I'm not joking," Kaguya said seriously, "I really like you."
"I like you too," Mei reached out and playfully tapped Kaguya's forehead, smiling with her eyes narrowed.
"No, I mean I like you as more than just friends, like between a man and a woman," Kaguya said, her eyes fixed earnestly on Mei.
Mei was stunned, seemingly confused by Kaguya's words. After a few seconds, she understood what Kaguya meant and suddenly burst into laughter, "Love like between a man and a woman? Little girl, maybe when you're a man."
"Are you saying that if I were a man, you'd be okay with it?" Kaguya's eyes lit up.
"Are you okay? Did you get drunk?" Mei blinked, glancing up and down at Kaguya, then reached out to touch her forehead, "Or are you feverish?"
"No, answer me first," Kaguya asked urgently, "If I were a man, would you agree to be with me?"
Mei Terumi was so troubled by Kaguya that she helplessly said, "Yes, yes, as long as you are a man."
"You haven't finished your sentence. If I'm a man, then what? You'll date me?" Kaguya said, holding Mei's hand.
"Yes, yes, as long as you're a man, I'll date you, alright?" Mei said, smiling with her eyes, and pinching Kaguya's flawless cheeks.
In her view, Kaguya must have been drunk, which is why she said such unrealistic things. She believed Kaguya would forget all about it once she sobered up, so she just humored her, thinking it was merely a playful prank from an innocent little sister.
Kaguya's eyes lit up with excitement, feeling as if she could see her happy life coming into fruition.
But before she could act, her expression suddenly changed. She stopped moving and turned to look out the window, a knowing smile tugging at her lips.
"It really is that guy."
"What's going on?" Mei came over, curious about Kaguya's expression, "Did something happen?"
"No, nothing," Kaguya turned her head, smiling at Mei, "But there's something I need to take care of, so I won't be back tonight."
Before Mei could ask what it was, Kaguya streaked through the sky like a meteor.
What could be so urgent to make Kaguya leave like this? Mei knew her character very well. With Kaguya's current abilities, there were few things that required her personal attention. If it were anything ordinary, Kaguya wouldn't even bother.
As Mei pondered, there was a flash of white light, and Kaguya reappeared before her.
"How did you..."
Before Mei could finish speaking, Kaguya placed her white fingers on Mei's chin, cutting off her words.
Mei's eyes widened, stunned by Kaguya's sudden action, and she forgot to push Kaguya away. The kiss lasted for nearly a minute before their lips parted, leaving a silver thread reflecting the moonlight between them.
"I almost forgot. Consider this an advance payment. I'll be off now."
Kaguya's beautiful face showed a playful smile as she waved at Mei before turning into a stream of light and disappearing into the starry sky.
Only then did Mei recover from that peculiar state, her hazy eyes becoming clear. She felt a mix of annoyance and amusement, surprised by Kaguya's boldness. She secretly resolved to teach Kaguya a lesson when she returned.
However, the strange tingling sensation, like an electric current, lingered in her heart.
