Chapter 81 - Former S-Rank Rogue Ninja

Nagato Uzumaki died, and he had wanted to see his teacher Jiraiya one last time and say some words to him, but he never got the chance. His and Yahiko's bodies were wrapped by Konan using her paper jutsu and placed in a secret chamber deep within a mountain.

During this period, Kaguya remained expressionless and did not say a word, often standing silently in the rain, staring at the falling raindrops in a daze.

Due to his serious injuries, Jiraiya was sent back to Konoha by Kakashi, Yamato, and the others ahead of time. It seemed he would not be in any mortal danger.

As for Naruto, he had been looking for an opportunity to apologize to Kaguya because after she had injured Jiraiya, he thought Kaguya had killed Jiraiya and thus attacked her frantically.

Later, he discovered that Kaguya hadn't killed Jiraiya, which was just a misunderstanding, making him feel very guilty.

However, at that moment, Kaguya was still immersed in the sorrow of Nagato's death and was very annoyed by Naruto's interruptions. Finally, she couldn't stand it anymore and gave Naruto a severe beating, leaving him with a bruised face.

Seeing that Kaguya was really angry, Naruto sensibly stopped bothering her and returned to Konoha with Kakashi and the others.

As for Konan, after much persuasion from Kaguya, she finally agreed to go to Konoha with her.

Kaguya knew that Obito would not give up easily and would come after Konan for Nagato's Rinnegan. In the original story, Konan indeed died at Obito's hands. Now that Nagato was dead, Kaguya didn't want Konan to face any unexpected dangers.

With Konan by her side, Kaguya felt more at ease. She had let Obito escape last time; this time, she wouldn't let him go.

The red cloud cloak she had worn for years was finally taken off. Nagato Uzumaki's death marked the true demise of the Akatsuki organization. Although Uchiha Obito still existed, it was meaningless as the Akatsuki had already collapsed.

For Kaguya, it was more significant that Konan finally revealed her curvaceous figure.

In the oversized cloak, it was difficult to see her appearance, let alone her figure. Only Kaguya, who had bathed with her, knew that Konan's tall figure was really impressive.

Morning came, and the clear blue sky and drifting white clouds made the summer morning perhaps the most comfortable time of the day. The sun had just risen, casting soft rays that evaporated the dew on the flowers and leaves. The blue sky and drifting white clouds, along with the gentle breeze, brought a touch of coolness.

Compared to the oppressive rain in the Land of Rain, this place undoubtedly fit Kaguya's ideal environment better.

"After walking a bit more, we should reach Konoha," Kaguya said, stretching lazily with her arms straight, "When we get there, I'll treat you to dango. They might be the best dango in the world. Also, the ramen isn't bad either."

"All you think about is food. Be careful, or you'll turn into a pig someday," Konan said, poking Kaguya's forehead with her finger.

Nagato's death had a great impact on Konan since all her childhood companions were gone. However, under Kaguya's light-hearted banter, Konan gradually emerged from her sorrow. Moreover, she felt much more relaxed, perhaps because she had let go of a heavy burden.

After walking for a while, they could see the gates of Konoha in the distance. The gates were quite tall, about thirty meters high, made of thick solid wood and very sturdy. Its hardness was comparable to steel, probably enhanced by some ninjutsu.

As they reached the gates, several Konoha ninja approached, cautiously asking, "Take off your hat."

"Don't be so tense, I'm not a bad person." Kaguya smiled, taking off her wide-brimmed hat.

When Kaguya removed her hat, the surrounding ninjas were momentarily stunned.

Her silver hair flowed like a waterfall, her flawless skin looked like it was carved from ivory, her long eyelashes trembled slightly, and her white eyes were clear and bright. Below were a delicate nose and rosy lips, all creating a mesmerizing sight.

"Alright, can we go in now?" Kaguya said nonchalantly, used to such reactions. If anyone was indifferent to her, they were probably either eunuchs or homosexuals.

To her surprise, the Konoha ninjas didn't disperse; instead, they surrounded her.

"Capture them, no, hold them off. Quickly call the Jōnin. We'll do our best to stall them," shouted a thin Konoha ninja.

"What?" Kaguya was dumbfounded. What was going on?

"It seems your village isn't as welcoming as you said," Konan laughed, covering her mouth.

"Hey, hey, take a good look, it's me, Kaguya!" Kaguya felt very embarrassed being treated like this, especially in front of Konan.

"Kaguya, so it's you!" Another chubby Konoha ninja shouted through gritted teeth, "An S-rank rogue ninja." He pulled out three shurikens from his ninja pouch, gripping them tightly while keeping a vigilant eye on her.

"Can someone tell me what's going on?" Kaguya felt completely baffled. "Hey, hey, don't move, or I'll beat you up."

At that moment, a figure swiftly landed in front of them like a shadow.

"Hokage-sama!" The surrounding Konoha ninjas respectfully called out upon seeing the newcomer.

With long blonde hair and a curvaceous figure, especially the impressive peaks of her chest, it was none other than Tsunade, whom Kaguya had met once before.

"What's going on?" Tsunade asked sternly.

"Reporting, Hokage-sama, we've discovered an S-rank rogue ninja and were preparing to apprehend her," the thin Konoha ninja pointed at Kaguya and said.

"She's no longer an S-rank wanted criminal. The notice will be sent out soon," Tsunade smiled, then turned to Kaguya and said, "Sorry to have disturbed you."

"It's nothing," Kaguya waved her hand generously.

"This must be Jiraiya's disciple, Konan," Tsunade said, glancing at Konan.

"Yes, hello," Konan smiled gently.

"Jiraiya often mentioned you," Tsunade smiled, "If possible, I hope you can visit him. He talks about you often."

"Okay," Konan nodded lightly.

Despite the minor annoyance, the situation was resolved. Being mistaken for a wanted criminal in Konoha would have been embarrassing, especially after boasting to Konan about how well-received she was in the village.

Led by Hokage Tsunade, they finally entered the village. The village had changed quite a bit, almost to the point where Kaguya didn't recognize it.

While Kaguya was looking around, Tsunade, who was beside her, suddenly spoke in a low voice, "Thank you for what you did for Jiraiya."

Kaguya was slightly taken aback. It seemed Tsunade already knew, and as a master of medical ninjutsu, she could naturally sense Jiraiya's injuries.

Kaguya's clear, moist eyes blinked, and she showed a faint smile at the corner of her mouth.
