Damien's expression fell. He frowned at Ignatius and remarked, "Can't the Blacks even keep an eye over a madman?"
Ignatius looked riled as well. Still, he couldn't refute it because, firstly, the Colemans were an established family in Huma. Besides, Dexter was clearly a suspected criminal and a madman, a stain on the Black family name that they desperately wanted to get rid of.
"Watch your attitude." I stood beside Ignatius and addressed Damien sternly. "Who are you calling a madman?"
Damien fixed a scorching and furious gaze on me. I didn't want to be around him for long, but I felt obliged to speak up for Dexter and the Black family.
"Are you the fiancée of that crazy man?" Damien confronted me. "Where is he now?"
"Why do you seem more concerned about my husband than your wife?" I frowned at Damien, feeling disgusted just by talking to him.
