Chapter 117 - Chapter 117: Sasuke: I Always Feel Like I’ve Forgotten Something

Just as Orochimaru can infuse his consciousness into the Curse Seal, Sasuke has incorporated a touch of loyalty into the Blood Curse Seal. This ensures that any ninja who learns the Blood Curse Seal will inherently be loyal to him.

Hearing Sasuke's introduction of the Blood Curse Seal left Orochimaru even more astonished by Sasuke's abilities. Orochimaru had always prided himself on his ninjutsu research, but now, after witnessing Sasuke's prowess, he realized his own abilities paled in comparison.

Suddenly, Orochimaru remembered something else. "By the way, Lord Sasuke, you previously asked Kabuto to inform me that you could provide me with a suitable Uchiha body. Is that true?"

Orochimaru's tone was filled with excitement. Ever since his encounter with Uchiha Itachi, his obsession with the Sharingan had only grown. Now, with Sasuke offering him a compatible Uchiha body, Orochimaru couldn't contain his excitement.

He had spent considerable time studying Uchiha Shin's body to no avail and had even considered taking Sasuke's body. But now, Sasuke's proposal seemed like a dream come true.

"Of course, it's true," Sasuke replied nonchalantly. "However, this body won't come free. You'll need to pay a price." Orochimaru quickly nodded, willing to pay any cost. He understood that obtaining the Sharingan would require sacrifices, and he was ready to meet Sasuke's demands.

"Alright, let's begin then," Sasuke said, preparing to cast the Blood Curse Seal to fully bind Orochimaru as his subordinate.

Orochimaru's eyes gleamed with greed as he imagined the power he would gain from possessing the Sharingan. As Sasuke completed the seal, a stream of red chakra emanated from his hand, enveloping Orochimaru's body. Despite the sharp pain, Orochimaru endured it, knowing that enduring this agony was the key to gaining greater power.

Finally, the Blood Curse Seal fully encompassed Orochimaru's body, turning his eyes red and emitting a peculiar glow. Orochimaru had now become completely subservient to Sasuke.

"Congratulations, Orochimaru. From today onwards, you are mine," Sasuke stated. "I hope you won't disappoint me." Orochimaru bowed respectfully, saying, "Lord Sasuke, rest assured. I will be loyal to you and do my utmost."

Satisfied, Sasuke then issued an order: "Orochimaru, from now on, you are not to involve yourself in the affairs of the Sound Village." He continued firmly, "Gather your subordinates and research materials and return to Konoha with me. You'll begin your research work there." After a brief pause, he added, "As for the Uchiha body, I will give it to you when the time is right."

Orochimaru, barely containing his excitement, nodded repeatedly. "I understand, Lord Sasuke. I will pack up immediately and accompany you to Konoha." Orochimaru then turned to Kabuto Yakushi, his expression turning cold.

"Kabuto, heed what you have witnessed and heard," he said in a low voice. Although Orochimaru had submitted to Sasuke, his nature hadn't changed. Only in front of Sasuke did he show unwavering loyalty. Kabuto nodded solemnly, "Yes, Lord Orochimaru. Even though Orochimaru now serves Lord Sasuke, my loyalty to Orochimaru remains."

Over the next few days, Sasuke wandered around the Sound Village while Orochimaru prepared for their return to Konoha. As they approached Konoha's gates, Orochimaru's expression was complex, his eyes reflecting indescribable emotions. His last visit to Konoha had been as a rogue ninja attacking the village, and now, returning under new circumstances, he felt a mix of sadness and unease.

"Orochimaru, wait here. I'll go and inform Tsunade," Sasuke said before vanishing.

In the Hokage's office, Tsunade, bored, was dealing with a mountain of paperwork, assisted by Shizune.

"Why do so many people want to become Hokage? Is it really that great?" Tsunade complained, her eyes revealing fatigue and frustration.

She thought of Sasuke, wondering aloud, "Why hasn't he returned yet? He promised he'd be back soon. What a liar!" Shizune, overhearing, smiled awkwardly, "Don't worry, Tsunade-sama. I'm sure Sasuke will be back once you finish these documents." Tsunade, however, paid little attention, having heard such reassurances too often.

Suddenly, a voice interrupted, "Oh, someone's calling my name already?" Sasuke teased as he appeared.

Tsunade, immediately revitalized, spun around and embraced Sasuke enthusiastically. Sasuke, feeling the warmth, patted Tsunade lightly, "Shizune, please step outside for a bit. Tsunade and I have important matters to discuss."

Shizune blushed and retreated, understanding the implication. "And Shizune," Sasuke added, "change into a maid outfit and wait for me tonight." "Yes, Lord Sasuke," she replied, her face turning even redder.

Sasuke then had a rigorous discussion with Tsunade, occasionally leading to arguments due to differing views. However, Sasuke couldn't shake the feeling that he had forgotten something. "What was it? Never mind, let's focus on the important matters," he decided, continuing his conversation with Tsunade.

Meanwhile, Orochimaru and his group waited patiently outside Konoha's gates, resting and awaiting further instructions.
