Rin looked at Obito with a smile and asked softly, "What's wrong, Obito?"
Her voice was still as gentle as usual. However...
At that moment, Rin was holding a sharp kunai in her hand. The kunai ruthlessly pierced Obito's chest.
Compared to the severe pain in his body, the pain deep in Obito's heart made him even more heartbroken!
"Why... Rin, why are you doing this?"
Obito shouted hoarsely, his voice filled with endless pain and despair.
"Ah, Obito, what are you talking about?"
Rin tilted her head slightly, responding with a cute expression. However, the action in her hand was merciless. She held the kunai tightly, twisted it around Obito's chest, and drove it in without hesitation.
Obito's eyes widened, full of disbelief and grief. He couldn't accept the reality before him, feeling as if the whole world was collapsing. Overcome with emotion, Obito roared, "It shouldn't be like this... It shouldn't be like this... It can't be like this!!!"
His roar echoed through the sky, as if he wanted to release all the anger and pain in his heart. This was not Rin! Rin would never treat him so cruelly! All of this must be a nightmare!
After Obito's roar, his body began to turn into a vortex. Clearly unable to bear the pain any longer, he chose to use Kamui to escape. Sasuke watched the scene with no intention of intervening. Obito mistook Sasuke's inaction for indifference, assuming that Sasuke thought he was dead.
Suppressing his grief and anger, Obito made a bitter remark, "Uchiha Sasuke, how dare you use Rin to deceive me! I will never let you go next time!" After saying this, Obito disappeared.
Sasuke, however, was not angry and even found the situation somewhat amusing. Obito's pitiful state wasn't worth his harsh words. Nonetheless, Sasuke wasn't the type to let such arrogance go unpunished. After all, Obito dared to act so haughtily in front of him; he deserved a lesson.
Sasuke then swung his right hand and prepared his next move.
In a dense forest, Obito, seriously injured, struggled to stand on a tall tree. Miraculously, although he had been pierced by Rin's kunai moments earlier, his injuries seemed to have healed completely, as if he had never been hurt.
Obito slowly removed his mask, revealing a scarlet Mangekyō Sharingan. However, unlike before, his other eye was now permanently closed—clearly a severe side effect of using the forbidden technique Izanagi.
But for Obito, losing a Sharingan was a small price to pay compared to his own life. After all, he had collected many Sharingan on the night of the Uchiha massacre. Though not many were the three-tomoe type, they were enough to sustain him.
"Why would Rin obey Sasuke's orders?"
Obito whispered to himself, full of doubts. He couldn't understand how Sasuke had made Rin so obedient. If it was due to the Sharingan's illusion, with his understanding of the Sharingan, he should have been aware of it.
After all, he had successfully controlled the Fourth Mizukage with the Sharingan. No one knew Sharingan illusions better than him!
Suddenly, a handsome and agile figure appeared in front of Obito like lightning. Before Obito could react, a crisp slap rang out—**snap!**
Sasuke had used his right hand to deliver a very insulting physical attack: "Take that!" The speed was so fast that it was unexpected. Obito was caught off guard by the sudden attack, his body involuntarily knocked away.
The impact caused a slight concussion. As Obito flew through the air, he wondered, What was that? Who hit me? Why did I hear Uchiha Sasuke's voice? Was it an illusion?
Boom!
Absorbed in his thoughts, Obito forgot he was still mid-air and crashed directly into a tree. However, this collision snapped him back to reality.
"It's him! It's him! It's him!"
Obito shouted while gripping the tree with one hand. He hadn't been mistaken! This voice was definitely Uchiha Sasuke's! He would never forget this voice in his life!
"Damn Uchiha Sasuke!" Obito gritted his teeth.
Suddenly, a voice spoke in his ear, "Are you saying bad things about me?"
Obito was startled, nearly losing his composure.
When he looked, it was indeed Uchiha Sasuke standing before him.
"Why are you here?! Did you slap me just now?!"
Obito felt his right cheek trembling slightly. He tried to maintain his composure but couldn't.
"Of course it was me. Who else would have such a great ability?" Sasuke said with a smile. "How about it, did my slap help you escape from Rin's pain? Don't thank me; as a top student in the ninja world, this is what I do!"
Sasuke's words were extremely irritating. Obito was infuriated by his casual tone.
"According to my information, this ninjutsu should only be mastered by Orochimaru. How do you explain this?"
Sasuke responded with a perfunctory explanation, "First this, then that, and then I learned this ninjutsu."
Obito was annoyed by the vague answer. Although he had not expected a detailed explanation, Sasuke's evasiveness was still infuriating. Obito quickly took a defensive stance, keeping Kamui activated, ready for any sudden attack from Sasuke.
But he had clearly overthought it. Sasuke was there purely to retaliate against Obito for his arrogance. There were no other emotions involved.
"Don't try to play games, Obito. If I wanted to kill you, I would have just drawn my sword. Why bother?" Sasuke said casually.
Obito realized there was some truth in this and relaxed his body slightly. However...
Just as Obito relaxed, Sasuke's figure suddenly appeared in front of him again. The same position, the same feeling—Obito was slapped away once more!
