Chapter 83 - Chapter 83: Destroying the Shimura Clan and Seizing the Scroll of Seals by Force

Sarutobi Hiruzen quickly formed hand seals.

"Earth Release: Earth Flow River!"

As Hiruzen's hand seals completed, a massive wave of earth suddenly surged from the ground.

The torrent of mud rushed towards Orochimaru like a raging river.

Orochimaru nimbly jumped away, avoiding the wave of attacks, but the ground where he had been standing was submerged in soil.

"Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet!"

At that moment, Hiruzen used another ninjutsu.

A huge dragon head emerged from the soil, opening its mouth to spew out a barrage of clods, which rained down on Orochimaru.

Orochimaru kept dodging, but the mud blocks were too numerous and dense, making it difficult for him to avoid them all.

"Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet!"

Finally, Hiruzen unleashed another ninjutsu.

A ball of blazing flames emerged from his mouth, intertwining with the Earth Dragon Bullets to form a powerful combination ninjutsu: Earth Dragon Rock Flow!

Orochimaru seemed unable to completely dodge this attack and was hit head-on by the combined ninjutsu, sending his body flying.

"Orochimaru, there's no need to pretend in front of me," Hiruzen said, knowing Orochimaru's character well and realizing that he was just pretending to be unable to dodge.

Sure enough, as soon as Hiruzen finished speaking, Orochimaru's figure emerged from the roof.

"As expected of you, Sarutobi-sensei!" Orochimaru grinned, licking his lips with his long tongue.

Meanwhile, Sasuke arrived at the Shimura Clan's territory.

A cruel smile played on the corners of Sasuke's mouth. This time, he didn't bother with any words and immediately commanded Shukaku to attack from a distance.

With several loud explosions, the Tailed Beast Balls shot out like cannonballs, reducing the Shimura Clan's territory to ruins in an instant.

As for whether there were any survivors, Sasuke didn't care at all.

Even if someone were lucky enough to escape, how could the ordinary Shimura Clan possibly compete with him in a world where bloodlines determined power?

Afterwards, Sasuke directed Shukaku towards the Hokage Building.

He had only one goal in mind this time—to seize the Scroll of Seals!

Specifically, he was after the Flying Thunder God technique recorded in it.

This jutsu could have an unexpected effect on Obito. As long as a mark was placed on him, even after more than ten years, it would still be effective.

The longevity of this jutsu was ridiculous!

When Sasuke arrived at the Hokage Building, he was surprised to find it completely empty.

Was there really no one left to guard the Scroll of Seals?

Given that the Hidden Sand Village and the Sound Village were attacking, who would be foolish enough to stay behind and guard the Hokage Building?

Sasuke jumped down from Shukaku's head, instructing the beast to guard the entrance, while he entered the building alone.

As Sasuke ascended the stairs, he seemed to overhear a conversation.

"Koharu, is it really okay for us to be here? Hiruzen asked us to guard the Scroll of Seals. What if he returns and finds out?" said a male voice.

"What are you afraid of? Hiruzen is busy with the Chunin Exams. There's no way he'll be back soon," replied a female voice.

"I'm just worried something might happen," the male voice sounded hesitant.

"You're such a coward! What are you, a grown man, afraid of? Are you saying you're not up to it?" the female voice teased.

"What do you mean I'm not up to it? Let me show you!" the male voice retorted, sounding insulted, but unfortunately, the effort was short-lived.

Sasuke, who had been eavesdropping, deduced from the conversation that these two voices belonged to none other than the Konoha advisory duo—Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane!

"I didn't expect Hiruzen to leave the Scroll of Seals in the hands of these two. I suppose he thought they were safer here than outside," Sasuke thought to himself.

"But these two old fools having an office romance here? This is really amusing!" Sasuke smirked inwardly. "Given how short their time was, I wonder if Koharu even noticed when Homura passed out."

Sasuke kicked the door open, startling the two advisors, who quickly covered themselves with their clothes.

"Who are you?! Do you know where you are?" they shouted, trying to sound intimidating.

"Well, if it isn't the respected Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane! What exactly are you two doing in the Hokage's office?" Sasuke teased.

These two old fools were also Shinobi! How dare they do this on Sarutobi Hiruzen's desk? I wonder if Hiruzen ever noticed a strange smell while working.

"What we do here is none of your business! Leave now, or when Hiruzen comes back, you'll be dead!" Koharu threatened.

But Sasuke wasn't afraid.

"Really? I think if Hiruzen knew what you were doing on his desk, he'd want to kill you more than me," Sasuke said with a smirk.

"In that case, die!" Homura, now fully dressed, rushed at Sasuke. But how could his old arms and legs ever touch Sasuke?

Sasuke easily countered with a swift kick, sending Homura crashing into the desk.

"Homura, are you okay?" Koharu rushed to help him.

"I didn't expect you two to be so close. If that's the case, I'll let you be together forever!" Sasuke said before using Genjutsu to control them, making them continue their actions.

Unable to bear the sight, Sasuke turned his attention to finding the Scroll of Seals.

After some searching, he found a switch on the chair. When he flipped it, the wall behind the chair opened, revealing a secret room. The Scroll of Seals was likely in there.

Sasuke walked directly into the secret room, descending a flight of stairs to reach the bottom.

At the bottom, Sasuke found the Scroll of Seals. However, he was cautious, not wanting to trigger any traps set by Hiruzen.

Sasuke threw a few shuriken, testing for traps, but nothing was triggered.

Seeing this, Sasuke teleported directly to the Scroll of Seals, picked it up, and left.

"Was it really that simple? Could Hiruzen really have trusted those two old fools to guard the scroll? Or did he think no one would find this secret room? How lax," Sasuke thought to himself as he exited the Hokage Building.
