I woke up to an empty couch, Anthony nowhere to be found. I reached for my phone to call my mom, but before I could dial, the doctor burst in with a smile. 'Emily, you're cleared to go home today! It's Saturday, and we've tried reaching your mom, but she said Mrs. Nora would be coming to pick you up instead.
Shortly after, Mrs. Nora arrived. 'Hey, sweetie, how are you doing?' she asked, her eyes filled with concern. I smiled to let her know I was okay. We then headed to her car and drove to her house. 'Your mom asked me to keep an eye on you today,' she explained. 'She has a work commitment and might be home late, so feel at home and relax,' she said with a kind smile.
