Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2:- DETERMINATION

David didn't how he died or what really happened, but he knew now was not the time to dwell on a situation he could not understand. He checked his body and found out that wasn't any magical energy inside his body, but he couldn't accept such situation also.

Magic reigns supreme in this world, how is he going to survive in a world like this.

Also what make this unacceptable was because he was a transmigrator and any novels or comic he read about a transmigrated protagonist, they are always overpowered, just their aura can make their enemies shake in fear, their snort can make people to faint, a casual wave of their hands can level an entire city to the ground and those that used swords can make heaven and earth asunder, but he, as transmigrator could not accept it, what is the use of transmigrating he doesn't have any magic energy much less becoming overpowered.

"No, I can't accept this." David said to himself. "I must find a way to escape this useless life as a nobody, I will create my own path and stand a the pinnacle of the magic world." His cat-like eyes gleamed with determination. Luckily for him, he was a genius martial artist, he will have to use the martial arts in learned in past live to carved out his path out.

He stood up and looked at his body, although Davies was maltreated in the Sylvester family, but he was still well fed, after all he was the son of the Sylvester family patriarch.

He walked out the dark alley in the middle of the night, with confidence oozing out from his body, he didn't mind if he was ten years of age again, all that matters right now is his path forward.

He kept walking forward while thinking about his path, although he could train his body to the limit using his previous experience, he knew he couldn't use ordinary body to fight which made him settle for the path of swordmaster.

The reasons he chose this path was one he wanted to train body to have the lightness, speed and agility of a sword master.

Two, he genuinely liked the path of sword back on earth but couldn't walk around with a sword hanging around his waist.

Third, he imagined saving a damsel in distress with a sword around his waist along with his cool dress.

David kept thinking of all this with a silly smile on his face, unaware of the person behind him until...

"Hey, little boy."

David heard a thick man voice from behind him and screamed loudly, thinking that he was about to be kidnapped.

"You can scream all you want, nobody can hear you as you are inside my domain." The man said unhurriedly.

David immediately stopped screaming when he heard domain.

From what he knew from Davies memories, he knew about the grades that classified magic practitioners with grade f the lowest and Arcane the highest. The grades are classified into grade F, grade E, grade D, grade C, grade B, while magic practitioners began to learn to use domain as from grade A, grade S, grade Z and Arcane level.

How strong and how weak a domain is will be used to classified the grade between grade A to Arcane level.

Fear enveloped David mind, he hasn't even began his journey yet but death has already been inviting him to its embrace.

"What's with that look on your face, kid?" The man asked.

David composed himself a little and said "you are here to either kill me or kidnapped me and make my life miserable."

"Huh?" The man voice was filled with shock before laughing wildly.

"Kid, you are interesting, no wonder your uncle praised you despite being a magicless person, you have developed a mental fortitude beyond your age to remain calm in this situation." He praised David.

David didn't missed the party when he heard the man mentioned his uncle.

"What is your relationship with my uncle?" He asked. His uncle didn't treat him well, but it wasn't over exaggeration like the rest of his family.

"Your uncle is a worthy rival of mine and I promise to take you in, even if you are a magicless being, you can show your worth in order areas." The man said.

David was astounded, no one valued a magicless being like him. Now he knew that although his uncle doesn't show it on his face he did care for him and this is more than enough to make the already burning flame in his heart to burn even brighter.

The man looked at David, he saw how became even more confident in himself.

"Okay, let's go." He said.

"Where?" David asked

"To the base."
