My name is Koki, I don't know where I am from, what my actual name is, I am an entity that lives in the night.
I don't remember how I came to exist, every time I try to remember, my memories are clouded, fragments of my memories scattered all over the place. All I know is I have been wandering around the world as the whole world sleeps, no one by my side. It's as if I'm invisible to the living. By my experience one thing is for certain, I am vulnerable to sunlight. During daytime I have to take shelter.
I don't know how long it's been since I came to existence, it's been so long I long gave up on searching for a purpose, meaning or how I came to be…
I can't say for sure that entities other than me who roam the silent, night times exist, but most of them aren't friendly that I can assure. I try to not get involved in any kind of disputes they have between the living. It's the creatures who call themselves 'Human', who always try to contact with the creatures that they can't comprehend, creatures of the night... I am not even sure if I could call them that.
Everything I encounter tells me that I have an appearance of a human, although they used to behaved hostile towards me but not anymore…
I don't really reply when they try to interact with me, nor do I ever interact with any kind of living entities except; one creature called cats, or that's what the 'humans' call it, I feel like humans are the most intellectual among every other living creature. The humans are somehow getting accustomed to night, they illuminated the lands for miles and miles. They are getting less and less afraid of the dark, there used to be almost no souls during nights, except the creatures that hunt in the night.
Because of this many creatures of the night have weakened; they don't have the influence like they used to have 20-30 years ago...
Although this has not affected my existence directly, I am quite curious about 'humans' in particular, since they can directly interact or influence beings, they don't even understand yet, So I have been using my endless time to understand them, and someday contact them directly…
