But before he could continue, the ball was in the air. Time seemed to slow as both players leapt, their fingers stretching towards the ball. For a moment, they were suspended, neither youth nor experience holding the advantage.
Then, in a blur of motion almost too fast to follow, Zed's hand closed around the ball. His enhanced Agility Stat [a measure of quickness and reflexes] kicked in, allowing him to react with superhuman speed. In the same fluid movement, he twisted in mid-air, his Soul-Vision Stat [heightened perception and awareness] allowing him to instantly assess the positions of his teammates. The ball left his hands like a bullet, finding Talon with unerring accuracy.
