A crisis is happening. A crisis that could wipe out an entire sentient species from the galaxy. The planet Shadda-Bi-Boran is about to be destroyed by its own star. The species shares the name of the planet. Unlike with the comet incident. This species is incapable of adapting to environments beyond their own planet.
Without the environment of their homeworld, they would all die. Regardless if they stuffed themselves into habitats and sealed suits. They can't adapt.
"Bido, I can feel the look on your face. You're thinking of doing something big. I can practically feel the Force eyeballing you too. It's interested in what you'll do.", I hear Arla behind me.
I lean back into my lounge chair and set down my holo-pad on the stand next to me.
"Well, I am debating with myself if I should save a species from extinction."
Arla snickers, "What so hard about that decision? With how much you've mentioned Bo to the kids. I already know exactly what you're going to do. You're just procrastinating on that comfy chair. Sit there too much and you'll lose your abs, haha."
I chuckle, "Yes, of course you have me figured out. My inner debate was simply a delay. This chair is comfy after all."
I then rise from my chair, "I'm heading to my genetic engineering lab. I'll just make a gene editing virus so the Shadda-Bi-Boran can adapt to life beyond their planet. Simple fix."
I then hear young Vorn say, "Father, I don't remember you ever having any Shadda-Bi-Boran material. How will you make the gene editing virus?"
I stop in my tracks and sigh, "I'm heading to Shadda-Bi-Boran before it's engulfed in solar fire. I'll be back for dinner."
Arla waves me away, "Alright, just be late. Furia is cooking, and it is unwise to be late to her dinner."
"I am well aware after the last time I was late. I'll be on time, I assure you my dear.", I say as I leave the "living" room of our Myrkr home.
I enter my MOTH ship and quantum jump to Shadda-Bi-Boran.
