When I came back to the staging grounds with my trophies. I was thinking about what do next. Now, I have nothing pressing to do for a while.
After Furia gives birth in a few months, it will be her turn to through the xenomorph hunt. After she becomes blooded, there is once more nothing much to do.
I returned to Myrkr. Arla had gone out on a bounty mission, but Furia was there to welcome me. She asked about the hunt, but all I said was that it was a challenge.
"...A challenge that few in the galaxy would be able to do. I am still debating on whether to ever initiate this hunt again. As it was truly dangerous."
Furia took my words to heart. After some time together, I went to my lab. Specifically, the prepared part of it meant for working with material. It came with the best equipment and the hottest forges. Now I can finally make a new armor. An armor made from Beskar. I even got my hands on a crate of Cortosis. Arla had come across it during one of her missions and had given it to me.
Now I will have armor and blades resistant to lightsabers. I will be applying the chemical compound supplement that Yautja use to fuse into the material of their weapons. The purpose of the compound is to make the weapons immune to acid. Only available for hunters that have proven themselves against xenos without it.
And so I cooped myself in my lab, creating my new kit.
Took a few days, but I got my shiny new armor. It was still made in the style of the Predator Killer armor. I made a new Combistick with Beskar and Cortosis alloy. I made two permanent wrist blades of Besakr and Cortosis alloy. Two power blades of Beskar and Cortosis alloy. Finally, a knife of a Beskar and Cortosis alloy.
I didn't make any shuriken with the material because those are disposable. Power blades are reusable, so it is fine for them.
The last thing left to do was paint it all black and change the light settings to green. When the armor was all done, I put it on for the first time. It fit like a glove. I felt invincible in the armor.
Then I took the new weapons in my hand. I was satisfied with them. As while Cortosis is unique that it shorts out lightsabers, it is brittle. Which is why the alloy I used only used enough to retain that unique effect of Cortosis. The rest of the alloy was the nigh invincible Besker. Now blasters, slug throwers, fire, water, acid, and lightsabers are no longer threatening to me.
When I came out of my lab fully-armored, I took a stroll. I went to the training area and saw that Arla had returned. She noticed me and saw me in my armor.
"Wow...", she said aloud in awe.
"That is some good armor. When do I get something like that?", she asks with a bit of envy.
"When you undergo your next test. Which was going to be one thing, but it ended up not working out. So I'll have to come up with a different way to test you.", I say.
She gets curious, "What way is that."
I simply have a hologram appear of my hunt in the dark temple for her to see.
After watching it through, she whistles with unease, "Ya, I can see why you decided not to make that my next test. I would rather not walk into hell with the stuff of nightmares. At least anytime soon."
I nod, "I agree. It'll be years, perhaps many years until you will be ready to face those things. That hunt should really have a better reward than Beskar and Cortosis equipment. Which is why I am coming up with a different way."
I then say, "I think I should head out into the galaxy for a short while. Do some bounties, increase my fame. As it will be a short while until things get interesting."
Arla understands, "Alright Bido, just come back for a bit often. For Furia."
"I understand. I will go see Furia now before I leave.", I say before leaving Arla.
After speaking with Furia for a bit, I left Myrkr in an Upgrade ship. As a scout ship would be too much for what I'll be doing.
What followed was months of carnage. As I didn't take simple bounties. I put down insurgencies, rebellions, crime lords, and protected planetary leaders. All without ever being seen, except for glowing green eyes. My legend was quickly becoming more widespread and heavy.
When a bounty mission to track down a Dark Jedi led me to Naboo, I knew it was...bullshit. I could sense it was a trap. Only one group would set a trap and not have the wisdom to hide their intentions. The Jedi...
So I knew there was no Dark Jedi. Just a bunch of foolish Jedi. They even had the provided information send me into the open plains in the middle of nowhere, away from people. What a joke.
"Hopefully this will be interesting...", I mutter.
