Dathomir...
A planet I will finally visit. I have come here for the prey, but also for a person. I want to go after the prey first.
On this planet, are the Rancor, Sprantal, Bane Back Spider, Nydack and Chirodactyl. I am most excited about the Rancor and Chirodactyl. Both are powerful and ferocious. The other creatures I see as just bonuses.
So now I find myself on this red world, my boots imprinting upon its dirt. I dropped myself off away from any nightsister clans. As I don't want to interact with them just yet.
I begin my trek through the wilds.
I come across a pack of Nydack soon enough. Just like the animals they are. They just attack me in fury. They would be easy to kill if used any blade weapons. So I just used my fist and martial arts.
The way a Nydack fights is with leaping attacks, swipes, and ramming. They fight simply. It was easy to avoid such attacks. I would respond in kind. I would catch their swiping arms and break them. Rip them off. I would take their rams head on, and jump on their face. Kneeing it, elbowing it, crushing it with my fist. Fighting so savagely may not be pretty, but it is fun.
What I do like about the Nydack is that they keep coming. They are unafraid of my display of savage might. A trait I am sure all Dathomiri creatures have. I haven't used the Force at all either. Just my physical strength enhanced by my armor.
Nydack packs are not too large, but fighting 20+ Nydacks still takes while. Especially now that they're coming at me altogether rather than one by one. I've even been knocks back a few times by swipes and rams.
This is good practice though. I don't practice with weaponless combat as much. Fighting this many at once is good for improvement.
Once I'm done getting through them. The Nydack Alpha finally decides to join the fight. It is bigger, has a redder tint and a connection to the Dark Side it seems. Not unexpected considering that Dathomir is somewhat of a Dark Side heavy planet.
It charges me head-on, until it abruptly stops in front of me. A weird move. This one is more intelligent. It stares me down before swiping. Unlike others. this one is maintaining distance rather than falling into me while it attacks. I parry/block and throw some attack in response. It actually blocks some of my attacks and moves back.
It leaps to the side to avoid my onslaught. Then to my surprise, it launches itself forward at a great speed. Definitely Force-enhanced speed.
However, this me we're talking about. So how can I be outdone by some amateur Force Speed.
I use Force Speed to move towards the incoming Nydak Alpha. We collide, and it has missed it's attacks. I did not miss. My arm was now through the Nydacks chest, the heart area. IT slumps to the ground.
I comment, "Well, that was a fun warm-up. Now let's go find a Rancor."
I take the head of the Nydack Alpha as a trophy. It is a big head, so I don't want to lug this big thing around. I call down my scout ship I had set to stay cloaked in orbit. I put the head inside it, along with the body. It goes back to orbit and I go to find a Rancor.
Rancor can live in groups of 2 or more. They are big, and have a large appetite. Which means they are somewhere wide open with plenty of food.
I look at a 3D holo-map of the area I am currently in. I see a wide Valley with a water source, some trees, but not so dense it'll be hard for a Rancor to move. As good a spot as any to look.
I do a light jog over to the nameless Valley.
Once I arrive, I get to an overlook point and scan around with my eyes. It wasn't too hard to spot the rancor in the valley. There are three adult Rancor I can see.
I mutter, "This is where the fun begins."
I let out a Predator roar that resounds throughout the valley. A challenge for all to hear. It gets the rancor agitated, and me fired up.
I leap down towards the rancor. I take out a combi-stick as I run on the ground.
I target the one farthest from the others. I stick the combi-stick in its heel and it takes a knee. I use my plasma cannon to take out the other heel. It falls on its face. I jump on its head and shove my light-glaive into its skull, killing it. Quick kill.
The other two turn and roar. They can't see me, but I can tell they smell me. Which is impressive as I am hiding my smell. Rancor live up to their reputation of having a strong nose. Since they smell me, they attack where they smell me at. They fight like the Nydack fight too. Just with more strength.
I get the urge to imitate Starkiller a little as I throw out lightning from my hands at them. Wanting to electrocute them to death. Unlike when Starkiller did it, the rancor didn't die. They felt pain, but it muscled through my lightning and smacked me into a boulder.
I groan out, "I was not expecting that to fail. I guess my regular lightning isn't Starkiller level yet. Not even close it seemed. I only stunned them for a moment. Fine then, let's try red lightning."
I electrocute them both again, this time with red lightning. They wail out in pain and almost fall to the ground. They still power through it and rush me. This time I managed to dodge. My vision is filled with a flying small boulder as soon as I dodge though. I get it with it in midair.
I curse out, "How the fuck did they throw one so quick? This isn't a buggy star Wars game dammit!"
I have had enough of their shit. I take out four bomb shuriken and throw them at their knees. They block with their hands. Maiming their hands. Not what I wanted but good enough.
I run underneath one of them and jump up onto its back. I stick an explosive charge on the spine and jump off. It wasn't on of the weaker charges either. This was big boom charge. It explodes and the rancor dies. I try to do the same to the other, but it immediately falls on its back once I get on it.
I mutter, "Smart Bastard."
I then notice an old fallen tree nearby, behind the rancor. It is broken in such a way, that one end has a sharp point. I smirk.
I pick it up with the Force, point it at the back of the rancor, and push it forward. Or pull towards me I guess from where I am standing.
It meets its mark and goes through the rancor, impaling it from behind. It is dead.
"Well, seems my Force abilities are still far from Starkiller level. Oh well, I'll get there in due time. Starkiller isn't even a thought yet. Let's take care of these corpses.", I say with a stretch.
I call down my scout ship to tend with the corpses.
