It took less than a week for the royal jelly to turn the regular xenomorph into a Queen. I chained it up and made it ready to produce eggs. I "encouraged" it to lay an egg and it was successful. Now that the Queen situation is sorted out. I can get the hunt going for Arla.
I return to Myrkr to talk to Arla.
I find Arla on the training grounds. I walk up to her, "Come rest, we must speak."
She comes along and we sit down. She asks, "What must we speak about?"
"It is Yautja tradition for a young hunter to prove themselves against a certain prey. The xenomorph, or Black Serpent. IF the young hunter succeeds, they become blooded, and a full member of society. To truly hold your position, you too must hunt this xenomorph. I have prepared six of them for you to kill. An average number.". I explain to her.
She grins, "Sounds like fun, when I do I get to kill these things."
"An admirable attitude. I'll provide the basic information on your prey. You'll have two days to prepare. Also note, I will not assist you in any way in this hunt. If you are about to die, I will let you die. This is the way of the Yautja. Only the worthy will live.", I say seriously to her.
"I understand Bido. Don't worry though, I'll be the victor.", She says back seriously with a hint of reassurance.
I nod, "Good. Also, I'm not worried. I just don't want you to lose an arm or something from carelessness. Limbs take a while to grow back."
Two days later, I took Arla to Typhon. I then told her to wait until I return. I will let her begin the hunt at that time.
I then went to the Black Serpent Temple. I cloaked and entered the room that held the sacrificial women. I speak up, startling them, " It is time for the sacrifice to be done. The hunter has arrived. Follow me."
The women all dropped whatever it was they were doing and followed along obediently. I'm glad that their resolve held has they waited these days.
We enter the sacrificial chamber. It has long since been cleaned from the last sacrifice.
I command, "Get rid of your clothes, they're only be in the way. No need for them any longer. Then lay on your backs on the tables. After that, just don't resist or struggle against what will happen to you."
They all get rid of their clothes and lay on the table. They're a little nervous, but overall calm. That's good. The facehugger eggs come out from the floor at my beckoning. They slowly open up, the facehuggers crawl out. Then they jump onto their willing hosts. They heeded my words and didn't struggle.
A few hours later, they awoke in slight pain. The pain increased until they started groaing. Finally screaming as baby xenos busted out from their chest. Well, the widows held it in pretty well though. They were just tougher it seemed. Anyways, the xenos took their fill of sustenance from their dead hosts. After that they scurried off.
"They'll be grown in a day...", I mutter.
I call over some drone to clean up and give the sacrifices a proper burial. It'll be a couple years until the next hunt begins probably.
I wait a day to give the xenos time to mature, then go back to Arla.
Upon my arrival, I tell her, "The prey are ready. Go ahead. The hunt begins.
Arla smiles and puts on her bio-helmet, "I'll be going then Bido. I'll be back soon."
Arla then runs off to the hunting grounds. Ready and eager.
"The hunt begins..."
