Chapter 12 - Myrkr

Ysalamiri, lizards that could push against the force to become invisible and unaffected by it. Unless, perhaps if the force user was much stronger could affect it. Anyways, I have jumped already. I'll be at Myrkr very soon.

Arriving over the world, it was a simple matter to find some of them with a planetary life scan. They were many.

I went down in a scout ship personally to grab one. They were more or less harmless to me. I would be grabbing 2 or 3 for the research.

The trees did interfere a bit with the scan though. They have high metal content and mess with scanning systems apparently. I worked around it alright though.

Landing on the planet surface, I got to work chasing three down. it was easy enough. When I finished my little easy hunting, a certain pack of predators found me.

Vornskr...

Whip-tailed, Grey skinned dogs with the ability to sense/sniff out the force. The Ysalamiri evolved their force suppression to combat these dogs. Their spilled blood properly attracted these dogs since there ability was turned off upon death.

It was a small hunting party. Six Vornskr, all hungry and ready to fight. They rushed me.

A bad decision on their part, but they're animals.

Six dogs, six bisecting slashes of the wristblades and six dead vornskr. I took their bodies too. Maybe their detection will boost my Gotal energy sense for the force.

I did want to see one city before I left, Hyllyard City.

A smuggler city, and one of the only cities on the planet. Criminals and the unwanted frequent there. The planet itself was rarely visited. This was literally the only city on the planet. The city is connected to the holo-net, the planet resides in the inner rim. The vornskr naturally see Jedi and Sith as yummy meals for their force sensitivity. This world seems like a good place to make a permanent base. The more I thought about it, the better the idea sounded in my head.

Then I thought about the Neti, the natives that left his world for an unknown reason. They are a force sensitive race of sentient plants. A good example would be roughly like Groot. They were shapeshifter and long-lived. They were an old an powerful race. Although they were not numerous and reproduced rarely as they live very long. It makes me wonder why they left this verdant planet.

Anyways, I will this planet my base in the inner rim. There is a mountain range a few hundred kilometers from Hyllyard City. I'll bore a hole that runs underneath them and park my mothership within. I'll create some drones with my on board mini factory. It can only churn out a handful of droids, drones, or robotics an hour, but it's good enough. I'll do some proper base-building once I get some construction bots working. The trees will be good building material and help keep my base hidden.

As I'm close to the city, I'll be able to visit anytime and connect to the holo-net. Or I could properly hook into it from my mothership. I can't underestimate word of mouth though. The smugglers and underworld denizens will have good information in their bar talks if I listen well.

I return to my ship promptly and deposit my spoils to get my rewards out of them. I head to my mothership's command room. I aim my super plasma laser/cannon/drill/"Big gun that solves all my problems" and aim it to bore beneath the mountains. Of course, I bore on the side that cannot be seen from the direction of the city.

I press fire and a wide blue plasma beam fires for about 10 seconds. I then descend and fly my mothership into the perfect cave. It's very deep and very cozy. I press some buttons to get my mini-factory working on building some construction bots. Since my spoils are being decoded and experimented on, I might as well get building myself. I can at least take some cloaking array nodes and set them at the entrance. I can also start cutting a couple of trees for materials. Not too many though that someone would notice though. I'll make sure to rip out the stumps too.

"(Sigh), good old-fashioned manual labor, how I missed this...", I say sarcastically with my growls and clicks.
