"Who did I just make mention of?" Rose asked herself, loudly.
"Warren Wellesley? The popular billionaire?" She exclaimed unsurely, then, she chuckled and shook her head.
"What happened last night definitely dealt a blow to my head. I am not thinking straight, right now! Nah!" She stated, chidingly.
"Where would I ever get to meet such a powerful man? Not to talk of being able to seduce him?" She wondered aloud.
"How can I even seduce a man like that?" She let out a dry chuckle.
Then, suddenly, her countenance changed to a serious one and she furrowed her eyebrows.
"He is a man and I am nothing less of a woman! I can get him wrapped on my fingers. I just need to put a plan in place and take smart and calculative moves." She pointed out, thoughtfully.
"Firstly, I need to find out everything there is to know, about Warren Wellesley! I have no time to waste!" She concluded as she got to work.
"So, you have to stop crying over that son of a b ..." Ms Ria had started talking as she walked back into the kitchen but stopped midway, because of what she was seeing before.
The sullen Rose who was in a terrible state some minutes ago, had started looking energetic and moving around, doing her work, like she had no care in the world, or ever felt sad.
She was even moving her waist, gently to the gentle, soul calming music that was playing lowly in the background.
"Is she bipolar?" Ms Ria asked no one in particular as she looked at the girl. She didn't know what to make of her sudden energy and happiness.
Then, Rose stopped working for a moment and let out a chuckle before continuing again. She had grabbed the moping stick and was moping the floor, with all of her strength.
"I guess she is!" Ms Ria concluded and shook her head.
"Rose, have you forgotten you are a waitress? The cleaners have done their job, you should drop that and go do yours." Ms Ria informed her.
"Oh, right!" Rose replied the woman. She dropped the mop and trotted outside the kitchen, without a second thought.
"I hope she is okay!" Ms Ria thought and shrugged.
~
"I knew it!"
"I said it! My head has suffered a blow as a result of what happened yesterday. Because there is no how what I am seeing right now be true!" Rose stated, aloud. And she couldn't tear her eyes away from the direction she was looking at.
She was seeing the last person she was expecting to see, in her workplace.
Standing in all his glory, was Warren Wellesley!
He looked younger than his 43 years of age, just like how he used to appear on TV, but much more handsome. He was tall and well built, like a sport man and his overall attractive appearance was complimented by a face that could sweep any woman off her feet.
Dressed in a sleek, black three pieces suit, he looked formally hot!
"Elvin definitely got his good looks and great body from him. He is way hotter than Elvin! Way better!" Rose thought and nearly smiled when she remembered she shouldn't be seeing him there, at that moment and blinked her eyes, repeatedly.
"Waitress!" She heard a voice called out to her before she could see the huge man walking up to her, as she was so focused looking at Warren Wellesley.
It was one of his bodyguards.
"Do you have a VIP section here? My boss is stopping briefly for a quick breakfast." The huge man informed Rose.
"Wait, this isn't a dream?" Rose blurted out. The realization made her jaw dropped. The man before her was confused.
"Is this place open or not?" He asked her. Hearing the impatience in his voice, Rose quickly came to her senses and straightened her back, standing aright before the man.
"Pardon me, sir! We are open! And there is a VIP section, upstairs!" Rose informed the huge man with her polite, professional smile.
"Lead the way!" The huge man instructed her, after signalling to the other bodyguard standing beside their boss.
"Warren Wellesley is at my restaurant? Just when I thought of going after him? This is definitely a good sign. My clue to proceed with my plan!" Rose stated, inwardly as she led the bodyguards with their boss, upstairs.
"Here is the menu, sir!" Rose handed over the menu to Warren after the latter had settled at a table, besides the window.
"I would go with 2." Warren told Rose as he handed back the menu to her.
"I must say you have a surprisingly down to earth, taste. Who would know that the almighty Warren Wellesley would prefer a simple breakfast in a simple restaurant like here?" Rose said to him, with a smile. She desperately prayed in her mind that he replied her, in a positive manner.
Her prayer was answered.
"Well, you could say I am also a simple person!" He replied her, maintaining eye contact with her.
His ocean blue eyes were a beauty to behold. Rose couldn't help but notice that.
"I am glad you are, sir. Now, I can proudly tell my friends that I got the privilege to see the almighty Warren Wellesley in person, today and even got to serve him breakfast. Even though I know they won't believe me. It would seem too good to be true." Rose told him with the sweetest smile and didn't wait for him to reply her.
She had pretended to shy away after saying that and trotted downstairs to get him, his order.
The plan was to leave him, amused and wondering the kind of person she was.
"I hope that worked on him!" Rose wondered and hoped, as she walked back upstairs with his order.
"Here is your breakfast, sir." She announced as she placed the meal on his table. That earned the attention of the billionaire who had been engrossed in whatever he was looking at, on his phone. He raised up his head to look at her and then nodded at her, with a small smile.
"I don't think the first plan worked!" Rose observed inwardly.
"Well, I have come prepared. Now, to the next plan!" She stated inwardly and quickly sprung into action.
"Oh, excuse me sir!" She stated quietly as
she walked to the empty table behind Warren, pretending to want to get something from there.
As she got behind him, she stood briefly, cleaning the table, then suddenly lunged backwards and kicked the leg of Warren's chair, hard. She pretended to have staggered and lost her balance.
Warren's chair made a creeping noise and shook. Due to the shock, Warren lost his balance and was falling out of the chair.
"What the heck!" Warren groaned.
But before his bodyguards who were standing far away from his table could run to him, Rose had rushed to his aid.
"I got you, sir!" Rose assured him and singlehandedly made the chair balance well, with Warren seated on it.
The billionaire was astonished that such a fragile looking girl could have that kind of strength to hold him and the chair from wobbling.
His bodyguards were also amazed by her doing but the huge man wasn't going to overlook her mistake, and was about to snap at her for causing the incident but Rose sensing his intention from his countenance, quickly beat him to it.
"Forgive me, sir. I am deeply sorry for causing that, sir. Please forgive me!" Rose bowed her head to him respectfully.
"You caused it accident but you were also the one who prevented it from causing damage to me. So, it is fine!" Warren told her, simply.
She looked as if she would burst into tears, at any moment and when Warren saw her state, he couldn't help but chuckle.
"Relax, girl! It is nothing!" Warren told her but Rose actually burst into tears. Warren was taken aback and his bodyguard; the huge man quickly stepped in.
"Hey, you should go back to your..." The huge man was saying to Rose harshly but Warren silenced him midway, with a wave of his hand.
The huge man swallowed his remaining words and stepped back.
"Are you okay?" Warren inquired, gently.
"No, sir. I am not. I have actually been trying to hold it in but what happened now seems to be the last straw for me. I actually lost a dear friend and my lover, last night. And now, it seems I would lose my job for being clumsy!" Rose said amidst sobs and Warren instantly felt sorry for her.
"Oh my! Have a seat, first and calm down!" Warren offered her the seat opposite him.
"He took the bait!" Rose jubilated, inwardly and sobbed harder, as she took the seat.
