Most of the students were looking at Lara with awe and excitement. Of course, anyone would be excited. You don't get to meet a famous and genius scientist like Lara Loveheart now and then. Yes, Lara Loveheart is a scientist. Her field of expertise is biology, and thanks to her, humanity has made advancements that were thought to be impossible. If you were somewhat of a science nerd, then you would've heard about Lara, even if once. She's famous not only for her achievements in the field of biology but also for her warm-hearted personality. You would think she'd have a very big ego since she's a great scientist and all, but that is not the case. Lara treats everyone kindly and with respect, making her a lovable person.
Lara: "Hello everyone, it's my pleasure to meet the best freshmen of this prestigious academy. I hope to get along with everyone." She spoke kindly, bowing as a display of respect.
The class shouted excitedly, saying, 'It's our pleasure, Miss Lara!'. Amon, Ross, Alexander, Jeanne, and Seraphina were the only ones who didn't shout. Ross and Alexander were having a casual conversation while Jeanne and Seraphina were doing their own thing. Amon, on the other hand, was thinking of something.
Amon: "Lara Loveheart is one of the antagonists of 'Forbidden Love Between Two Maidens' who appears after the Inter-Academic Exchange Program Arc. For an antagonist, Lara is seriously messed up. She's one of the reasons why I hate this stupid novel so much. In the novel, she used underage girls as test subjects for an experiment that involved creating pseudo-males, or, in other words, futanari. Not only that, when the experiment didn't work on them, she would rape those girls and would force them to become an incubator for her mindless army of insectoid humans. She has a hatred for males, deeming them as 'inferior' to females. Due to this, she wants to create a world without males. To achieve that, she was experimenting to create futanaris. She kidnaps underage girls and boys and conducts her hideous experiments on them. She uses the underage boys to create her army of mindless insectoid humans whose sole purpose is to kill human males and breed any human female they encounter to increase their army." He recalled, holding back the urge to harm Lara on the spot.
Amon: "This piece of crap is pure evil. She acts and does evil for the sake of her pleasure. She's had great parents, but she has been evil since childhood. This hideous creature raped her mother when she, Lara, was 16 years old. After raping her, Lara killed her mother and even got away with it. She devised a plan to frame her father, and her plan worked. Lara's dad was taken to jail with the accusation of killing his wife. In the novel, she kidnaps Sophia and conducts the futa experiment on her, which becomes a success. Lara was overjoyed, but her joy was short-lived since Seraphina tracked her down with the help of CIB and confronted her. After an intense fight, Seraphina barely won, and Lara was arrested by the CIB." He continued to recollect the plot of the novel, still holding himself back from harming Lara.
Amon: "If there's anything I hate more than Yuri, then it would be Futanari. And this novel had both of these elements. In the past, I hated this novel with a burning passion. But now, things have changed. And I mean that literally. I've managed to change the plot of this novel tremendously, and now I need to deal with this piece of fuck to prevent the futanari transformation of Sophia." He thought to himself, planning his next step.
. . .
Time went by faster than anyone had realized. The homeroom period was over; now it was time for Magical Studies Class. Most people were so busy conversing with Lara that they forgot about their next class completely. The bell reminded the students of their next class, and they were a bit sad to bid their goodbyes to Lara. But they lit up instantly when they heard about Lara filling in for the vacant seat of a biology professor.
"I'll be there in the teacher's room. If any of you have any other questions, please feel free to go there and ask me. I'll be happy to answer." She beamed at the students warmly before turning to leave the classroom.
"She was so freaking cool! Her way of speaking, her personality, everything about her is so damn cool!" Jonathan, a fellow classmate, exclaimed.
"You're damn right, Jonny! She might be the coolest person I've ever met!" Angela, another fellow classmate, agreed with Jonathan's statement.
Everyone was excitedly discussing Lara and how cool she was. But some people had different opinions.
"Doesn't her behaviour seem kind of unreal? As if something isn't quite right?" Ross pointed out to Amon, Jeanne, Seraphina, and Alexander. He was, as usual, bubbly. But a hint of curiosity could be noticed in his expression.
"You're not the only one who thinks that, Ross," Alexander remarked calmly, staring out the window with a thoughtful expression.
"There's been a lot of shady rumours regarding Lara, but there's no evidence to prove them right. I believe all of those rumours because her behaviour and her work seem excessively good. And whenever something is excessively good, there's something wrong with it." Seraphina spoke her mind, prompting a nod from Ross. Her point was solid, and it was true in most cases. Yes, there could be exceptions, but exceptions shouldn't really be used to set an example.
Jeanne and Amon were the only ones who were listening silently to the trio's conversation. These two people had a lot on their minds that they wanted to speak but they couldn't. Jeanne, especially, was thinking about Lara and her possible intentions here at R.S. Advanced Academy.
"It doesn't make any sense for such a renowned scientist to take on the job of a mere biology professor. Yes, it's a job at the R.S. Advanced Academy, which is famous worldwide and has a very high salary. It still doesn't add up. Lara Loveheart has an estimated property value of 10 million nummus, and that sum of wealth is enough to feed 20 middle-class families for a lifetime. So, she didn't join as a biology professor for the money." Jeanne thought to herself, tapping at her desk with a thoughtful expression. Nummus is a currency for the Riversong Empire.
"There's been a lot of rumours regarding Lara Loveheart. For instance, she is sexually involved with underage girls. That rumour is very atrocious, and although Lara has denied it with proof, I know one thing for certain. That rumour is very much true, and from what information I've received from my cult, there's very little possibility of the rumour being false. Several missing cases of little girls from different parts of the kingdom, and rumours like that regarding Lara surfacing after those cases, it's all too coincidental." Jeanne tried to piece the puzzles together in her head.
"I still can't fathom the absurdity of the currency value of this world. One Nummus is equivalent to one thousand dollars from my previous world... With One Nummus, I could buy a gaming PC in my previous world. Amon facepalmed, trying to wrap his head around the absurdity of the currency value difference.
A malicious smile spread across Jeanne's face. She had a clever idea to expose Lara but needed to be very secretive. Because the idea involved putting an innocent life in danger. And Jeanne couldn't risk revealing it to either Amon or the trio. She got up from her seat and headed towards the exit.
"Jeanne, where are you going?" Seraphina asked curiously. "It's none of your concern. I'll be back before the professor arrives." Jeanne answered bluntly as she walked out of the classroom.
Seraphina let out a small sigh after hearing Jeanne's response. She had expected Jeanne to give a proper answer, and of course, she asked too much. Jeanne was the type of person who had a very strong sense of freedom. She did whatever she liked and didn't feel obligated to justify her actions.
Jeanne was born into the prestigious Nova family. The Nova Family were famous for producing the finest of merchants and mages. It is, of course, a noble family. There are over 500 noble families in the Riversong Kingdom, but only ten of them are highly respected. These ten families are known as the Ten Great Families, and the Nova family was one of them.
Jeanne has been very rebellious since childhood. She had a strong sense of freedom, due to which she did whatever pleased her and wasn't bound to answer to anyone. She also had a natural talent for magic and business, which she exploited to amass vast fortune and power when she was only ten. Out of sheer boredom, she created a secret society called the Donzequel Occult Society. Her boredom subsided, and she had to spend over five years establishing her secret society as one of the most influential organizations in the entire world.
Currently, the Donzequel Occult Society controls most of the world economy and has enough power to declare a full-scale war against the entire world. The Donzequel Occult Society is something that can make even the toughest of people shake in their boots. This secret society's main objective is unknown, and they get rid of anyone who gets in their way.
Authoritative, cunning, calculative, strategic, ruthless, cold, and intelligent—these are the words that describe Jeanne's personality perfectly. And she's also very obsessive. Once Jeanne sets her mind to something, she will do it. No one, not even the gods, can stop her. Whatever she wants, she always gets it.
. . .
Magical Studies Class was boring, as usual. Professor Amin ranted about different types of elemental magic and their counters in today's lesson. After the class was over, almost everyone was exhausted.
"Professor Amin is a total hottie that I'd fall for in a heartbeat, but his strict and cold-hearted personality is not something I fancy," Jessie spoke exhaustedly, rubbing her forehead. "Whenever he lectures us about anything, it's like he's being forced to lecture us... And his lectures are very hard to understand... I still can't understand how Amon understands any of his lectures."
"I agree with that sentiment of yours, Jess... But his friend group also understands all of Professor Amin's lectures... Even if we are the students of 1-S, Amon and his friend group are far above our league." Rex let out an exhausted sigh.
Everyone in the classroom was doing their own thing. Some were chatting, some were playing board games, some were studying, and so on. Amon, however, seemed to be thinking about something deeply. Something was bothering him a lot. Lara's appearance was supposed to happen after the Inter-Academic Exchange Program Arc. But due to altering the story massively, her appearance happened before the said arc. That much made sense to Amon, but he was concerned about something else differently, which regarded her.
"In the original plot, Lara didn't join the R.S. Advanced Academy as a Professor of Biology. And there were no rumours regarding her then. To keep her reputation clean, she always got rid of those who spread rumours about her. Lara is the pinnacle of degeneracy, yes. But she's also extremely smart. She wouldn't be so careless to let people spread rumours regarding her." Amon contemplated, trying to piece the confusing puzzles of Lara's sudden appearance together. "That'd just be breaking her character apart. Wait..." It had clicked in his head. Amon finally understood what was going on. "That's it! Her character writing has been altered! I am fucking stupid! Similar to Jeanne and Seraphina, her character's writing has been altered heavily! If her character writing's been altered, there's a good chance of her not having that diabolical backstory."
Amon's thoughts were interrupted when he heard someone calling his name. "Amon Von Crown, you have been summoned by the President of the Student Council." A stern but good-looking blonde girl announced in a loud enough tone for Amon to hear who was sitting at the back of the classroom. Hearing this, everyone turned to look at Amon with a wide variety of expressions. Some were confused, some were surprised, and so many more expressions.
Without saying anything, Amon rose from his seat and advanced towards the blonde girl. She then accompanied Amon to the Student Council Room.
. . .
"So why have I been summoned, my dear older sister?" Amon took one of the seats in front of the Student Council President's Desk, sitting arrogantly. Sophia, as usual, had an unapproachable vibe to her, and her expression was cold. "I've been informed that you've regained consciousness and started attending your classes again. So, how's your body?" She spoke in a voice devoid of any emotion.
"I am doing fantastic, dear sister. Thank you for your concern." Amon smiled cheekily. Previously, Amon would've acted nonchalantly towards her, but after the Keeper's advice and 'enlightenment', he decided to act differently. "I must say, after that defeat with Zephyra, you seem to be in a very bad mood~" Amon leaned forward, his cheeky smile never leaving his face for a moment. "Are you perhaps still bothered by the fact that you lost to someone with no talent for elemental magic?"
"You're no different, Amon." She stared at Amon with a cold expression. "Yes, but she had to use her strongest technique to defeat me. Whereas, you were defeated by one of her simpler techniques." Amon's voice was laced with ridicule and arrogance. "It seems like Zephyra's beating gave you brain damage. I can get you a month's detention for insulting me, Amon." She spoke indifferently, but it was clear that Amon's arrogant attitude was starting to get under her skin.
"Aw~ How cute~ The Student Council President threatening someone who spoke realistically. Honestly, you're a spoiled brat. Getting everything since birth and still having that spoiled attitude of 'nO onE UnDerStaNDs mE'..." Amon's voice was dripping with sarcasm. Hearing those words, Sophia looked at him with a dark expression. In his mind, Amon was cackling like a hyena. His plan to get under Sophia's skin worked like a charm.
"I am going to mentally rape this spoiled brat until she starts crying! HUHEHAHAHAH!" Amon thought to himself as he observed Sophia's reaction with a devious smile.
"You've become more insolent since coming to this academy." Before she could finish, Amon started speaking, without giving her a moment to speak.
"First Place in the Entrance Exam, First Place in every Weekly Test, First Place in every Physical Test. Not only that, but a God-Grade Summon that was mistakenly labelled as an S-Grade Summon, and more importantly, a bunch of people who are always there for me. Honestly, I have every right to act however I want to act. I am smarter, I am more sociable, and most importantly, I am stronger than your spoiled ass." Amon spoke assertively as he stared at Sophia with an arrogant smile. "Oh, and I almost forgot. I also exposed five professors who were involved in shady stuff. SOMETHING WHICH YOU COULDN'T EVEN HOPE TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR DREAMS!"
Amon started laughing like he'd heard the funniest joke in his entire life. As for Sophia, however, she didn't say anything against his points. She knew that he was right, and it ticked her off very badly.
"I know what you're thinking. I suddenly got extremely lucky to the point where I became this smart and powerful with no hard work at all and without any suffering that comes with that hard work." Amon stopped laughing and looked at Sophia with a serious expression.
"How did you..." Sophia stared at Amon with a stupefied expression. Amon gritted his teeth in rage. Sophia's shamelessness and stupidity never ceased to anger him. "What would you know? What the fuck would you know? Of course. Always be pampered and showered with attention by the people around you. Always praised by your peers and mother due to your talents. Of course." There was a hint of genuine anger in Amon's voice. It was the first time he had ever felt since he came into this world. He was frustrated at first, but due to his scheming mind, he managed to turn his frustration into enjoyment by messing up the plot of the story.
"Whereas I was always ignored. Ignored since the day I was born. Mother wanted another daughter, but instead, I was born. Due to this, she was unsatisfied and always ignored me. I don't remember a single moment of my childhood where I had a proper conversation with her. Up until I was 10, I grew up all by myself. The maids and butlers cared for my necessities, but what about my mental and emotional necessities? Could a damn maid and a butler take care of either of those? It's the job of the parents." A tear started forming in the corner of Amon's eyes while he spoke, his voice cracking slightly from all his emotions.
Hearing Amon's words and witnessing his emotional state, Sophia couldn't say anything. She had always thought of Amon as a bother and a pain to deal with since he was so clingy and wanted to be acknowledged by her. But for the first time in her life, she began to understand the reason behind his actions. It's because he only wanted to be loved by his family. But he never got the love he wanted and was always cast aside.
"What is my fault? Is it because I am a son, not a daughter? Is it because I didn't act as someone worthy of being a Crown? Or is it because of my birth?" Amon questioned, his voice cracking slightly due to the intense emotions he was feeling. Amon knew that it wasn't his emotions, but the emotions of the real Amon.
"And here you are. Acting as if you're someone who's misunderstood by people. Someone whose parents don't understand any of her feelings and the things she wants. What a freaking loser. Let me tell you something. I have a skill that I haven't disclosed to anyone, not even our father." Amon wiped the tears that were forming in the corner of his eyes as he spoke.
Sophia was extremely surprised. Because according to Emilia, their mother, Amon, doesn't have ANY skills. Everyone in this world receives a skill after birth. That skill is unique to them, and it can only be used by them. Amon, however, was the only exception. When he was checked to see if he had any skills, the results were negative. He didn't have any skills. This led to his family's, except for his father's, poor treatment towards him.
"My skill allows me to regress in time. Whenever I die, I always regress to the time when I first received this skill. Now, I unlocked this when I was 10 years old. You might be wondering why I am telling you this. It's because of the FUCKING FACT THAT I HAVE REGRESSED OVER TEN TIMES BECAUSE OF YOUR FUCKING MISTAKES, SOPHIA VON CROWN!" Amon raised his voice and banged on the desk out of rage, which caught Sophia off-guard. She instinctively backed away, which was very unlike her. Before she could ask anything, Amon continued.
"You fell in love with a girl called Seraphina Nightfallen and turned into a complete psychopath. You stalked her every day and also took secret photos of her to touch yourself. Not only that, you even broke off her engagement with the guy she loved by framing him for a crime he didn't commit. Afterwards, you manipulated her to the point where she also started falling in love with you. When our parents found out that you did all of that, they chose to kill themselves. And in the end, you killed me because I confronted you for their deaths, triggering regressing skill. This cycle kept continuing, and no matter what I tried, I couldn't change our parents's fates or my fate of being killed by you. And after my tenth attempt, I gave up on trying to change anything." Amon looked down at the desk, and tears had started falling from his face.
"This can't be..." Sophia was in utter disbelief. Her heart sank after hearing those words. If Amon's words were true, then she deserved nothing more than death.
"For this cycle, I am not going to bother changing your or our parent's destinies. I am focusing on getting stronger so I can kill you if you ever try to harm me like the previous cycles." Wiping his tears with a handkerchief, Amon spoke firmly and turned to leave the Student Council Room.
After leaving the Student Council Room, Amou sent him a telepathic call. "Master, I must praise your ability to exaggerate things... The way you acted and the way you spoke... It was all so real that even for a moment, I was fooled. But we both know that what you said was made up." Amou spoke in an astonished tone in the Telepathy Call. "It seems like Zephyra's beating made you more unhinged."
Amon, on the other hand, laughed like a hyena in the Telepathy Call.
