You could see an invisible wind sway forth carrying igris's cape like a bed sheet hanged on a clothe line.
He was emanating a dense and ominous aura which made a bead of sweat trickle down my forehead.
Our eyes locked on each other as I activated my Karma seal and a long black rod size of a lance materialized on my hand.
Igris responded by drawing his long saber and stanced himself in a fencing manner keenly studying his opponents slight movement.
Our eyes were brimming with light due to the anticipation exchanging blows with a strong for. I narrowed my eyes with my brows twitched closer to each other like a hunter observing his prey with maximum focus.
When my bead of sweat flowed down to my cheeks and dropped down. The two figures disappeared on sight with remarkable speed that a normal human eye could not keep up.
Igris landed his sword down and I managed to block it with my lance as they crushed sending ripples of wind due to the cataclysmic crush.
I could feel that this wasn't gonna be easy but still the more an opponent is strong the more I could feel a stimulation rise in my soul and heart like a feeling you get when you are riding a rollercoaster.
Igris's swordplay was quite beautiful and complex even surpassing that of mine in my previous life but the lance was my weapon of ingenuity.
Our weapons crushed as I evaded some of Igris stabbing barrage and deflected some with my black rod as it danced between my fingers.
My speed was adapting at a fast pace making me land a kick to his upper torso which pushed him back a distance away by managing to slow down the force through stabbing his sword to the ground to reduce the momentum.
Igris could feel the the opponent he was facing this time had a mere share of skills and experience of countless battles, reasoning to him taking more caution.
Igris drew another tactic of attack,he launched the two daggers hidden on his back to me with exhilarating force to cross the distance between us. I managed to knock the two daggers off my course when I was struck by a surprise attack from behind me.
Igris gripped the handle of his sword with his both hands and swang the sword with his full might to severe my head clean.
This was the perfect opportunity he was waiting for but I did not comprehend his speed to increase drastically. I knew the daggers were a decoy but I predicted the attack to come from the front.
I was cornered like an helpless dear with nowhere to run,it was all over for me.
I guess that's what he thought anyway.
The edge of sharp sword was mere inches from my neck but I managed to evade it by squatting downwards, sweeped his feet off the ground.
I did not give him a chance as his figure was in mid air I landed a left punch which connected squarely with his chest cracking the carapace to tatters. The force formed something of an air arrow head on his body which sent him crushing towards the pillars landing on the blue hued wall causing him to cough off blood.
"You have to understand buddy, you were strong opponent indeed but when a person drops their guard and are in a vulnerable state, their foe responds in a similar manner and I exploited that moment to make you think you won. But what am I even blabbering about? You are just an npc for my training regime." I giggled as I called the system.
"System request denied. Task is not complete." The system inquired in a calm tone.
"Wait what! I defeated my opponent and won the ..."
Before I could debarked in anger, I saw the ruble around me start to float and crack to pieces. I felt an ominous aura full of malevolence animosity as it on cloaked my whole body to turn back.
I felt a eery feeling of fear crept down my spine as in the apple of an eye, I felt a pain on my crotch ascending to my whole body as I crushed on the throne itself.
The impact made my body almost go numb from the unbearable pain as a small line of blood formed at the corner of my lower lips.
I struggled to look at the figure with the massive power emanating from it. Igris's body was now all black and purplish and his cape and appearance resymboled darkness.
"System detects that the user is injured."
"Counter measures must be taken or by the user admitting defeat."
"Please say 'yes' to quit or 'no' to continue fighting."
This system really was quiet cruel. It sounded like if I was a player in a VR game but backing off from a fight after the tables seemed low to me was not my forte.
I gathered all of my strength to stand up and face the threat ahead of me. I could not help as a grin crept at the edges of my mouth.
I locked eyes with Igris as he growled like a fucking hound. He disappeared and reappeared infront of me with his sword dropping down on my head but I managed to block the attack causing the earth below us to shatter like broken pieces of mirror.
Streaks of lightning formed due to the crush pushing me down. His strength had magnified ten fold r maybe a hundred.
I was in the middle of my thoughts straining to defend myself from the knight's own attack when a kick dug to my left ribs and I heard them crack making me fly to a nearby pillar.
It was time I got series too. My karma seal extended forming a horn on my head and my left eye changed it own shape similar a wheel of dharma.
Igris did not give me time to take a breath, he was emanating a killing intent have never felt before. His shadow form was a troublesome which pushed me to use my trap card.
Black rods started forming around me as I directed them to him. He was caught by surprise by the attack as defended them off. The sound of metal as it struck another spiced the air of the room.
His movement were fast if he managed to destroy the barrage of rods planing on him.
We charged at each other with full intent and our weapons connected producing sparks. He swung his sword upwards which forced me to step back.
Before I could find my footing, he delivered another right slash which I defended with my rod. We exchanged a couple of blows as I breathed a fire ball which he sliced in a half.
I decided to put an end to this fight. It had prolonged for quite a while. Igris was pacing on me with full intent but his assault was halted by pillars diving down on him which made him step back.
This was the only opportune moment I had and I better exploit it well. I dashed and appeared on his back impaling in a crucifixion manner.
He dropped his sword and when he turned I conjured a rasengan which I blasted on him finishing him off as he distengrated.
"You have won."
"More skills have been unlocked."
"You have earned 500 points."
"Time taken is 16 minutes."
The system remarked in my head.
I was exhausted behold belief, I felt queasy from all the injuries I acquired and lost my consciousness as I dropped down.
