this is a demo chapter for me to get the feel of the story and its technical stuff out of the way. and also feeling wat kind of atmosphere i em gonna go for.
so consider this an exploration of theme.

kodiak was not the richest person around. not all the guns he played in his video games where accessible financially for his low budget. nor practical .
a folding rifle was wat he needed for a survival rifle. so he went to target and got a 99 dollar shotgun at walmart. the hatfield break action rifle. the poor mans budget weapon. perfect for hunting ina woods.
a few modifications later. paracord handle on its folded form. a sanded down stock in one of the bulges to get the gun to fold completely flat at an agle. grinding off the trigger guards excess metal so it could fit in the gruve, boaring said gruve into the grip to fit the trigger on the front wood grip.
the back of the stock of the gun. had one of its screws missing so the cover of the stock could be moved aside to find a hollowed out hole with a make shift survival kit the guns stock is held in place with an outside latch to prevent its stock from being moved and its stuff spilling... but before that the frontal wooden grip can also be removed to find 2 gruves containing 2 extra 22 bullets and a line of parachord.
inside the stock of the gun. 4 ear plugs made of foam. flamable can be used as fuel. 2 mini lighters. a couple of single edge razors. a fire starter striker rod. 5 storm proof matches.whistle. splitshot sinkers. various fishing hooks of different sizes 2 big 3 very small and the others intermediate size. and 3 chord bundles of 40 feet 20 pound fishing line braided. a gerberdime and a multi tool knife both rather small. a small bag of 22 bullets around 40 to 50 and their metal adaptor for the guns barrel. 5 slugs and 3 birdshot 20gauge. a mini compass. and mini flashlight. some parachord for making shelter. a good amount of it.
with a somewhat bigger flashlight attached to the front of the guns barrel at the side.
this gun will be replacing our protagonist current weapon. because it just felt like it suited him better. its cheap. but he still has the winchester. its just that this is the folding gun mentioned by him. not the winchester since it doesnt fold.
