The gods were born from a marriage of chaos and power. The lost island of Param was their birthplace and even though man would not venture there, it was like a myth that adventurers worship. Go to Param and get power that will make you a god. Everyone wanted to be stronger, faster, better than their peers and when you looked down from the skies or controlled the heat of a volcano, that was power. The gods were always right, did whatever they wanted, behaved whichever way they did. Sometimes, they were petty and sometimes they were noble. Some were vicious for no reason and others were good. It seemed their behavior from the mortal stage of life stuck to them. Those who sought power for themselves alone were vengeful and wicked while those who were unselfish were good and helped others.
A sage once said "the gods do what they do because there is no one to punish them". Atreus Cho had always dreamt of that role, punishing the rogue gods. Holding the throne of Heaven meant he could dispense justice as he saw fit. People wouldnt need to die like chickens or be killed for crimes they didn't commit. Param was a distant wish, but as a boy, he wanted nothing more than to sip from chaos' powers.
And this is the tale of how he fulfilled his dream. Not the fairytale path he'd envisioned, but then life is..... fleeting
