Later that evening, the two of them lay sprawled out on Damon's sofa, their feet tangled together as a movie played on the screen in front of them.
Neither of them was paying much attention to it, though.
Instead, they were caught up in their own little world, giggling over something entirely unrelated.
"I still can't believe you managed to fall for that," Svetlana teased, nudging him lightly with her foot.
Damon shook his head, feigning indignation. "It was one time, and in my defense, you're way too good at bluffing."
She smirked, leaning her head back against the cushion. "What can I say? It's a talent."
Damon let out a chuckle, his hand lazily resting on the arm of the sofa. "Remind me never to play cards with you. Or negotiate anything."
"Too late," she quipped, glancing at him with a playful glint in her eye. "You already asked me to move in. You're stuck with me now."
