The arena was buzzing with energy as the fighters sat in their corners.
After the first round, it was clear that neither man was aiming for a quick finish this time.
Both had used the opening round to feel each other out, but the heat had definitely turned up in those final moments.
At the commentary table, James Nix and Damien Korvier analyzed the fight so far, their voices carrying through the broadcast.
"Well, the first round is over, and it's clear that neither fighter came in looking for a fast finish," Nix said, leaning into the mic.
"It was about testing each other, figuring out strengths and weaknesses. But, man, we saw Damon Cross really turn up the heat toward the end there. Calvin Oland was completely on the defensive."
