Neo received the shock of his life.
These beasts…
They were horrifyingly fast!
Too fast!
Neo had barely run a hundred metres when the gap between them had widened to a thousand!
He couldn't hope to catch up!
Seeing himself left in the dust, Neo decided to employ other methods.
He leaned forward, flared his nostrils, and took a deep breath.
Huuuu!
Neo was experimenting with something. He had discovered some time ago that his nose was quite sensitive to tracking treasure, much like a treasure-seeking hound.
Especially if it was something he had 'smelled' before…
It was quite effective. Within a few seconds, he had pinpointed the source of the scent and rushed after it.
After every few metres, he would sniff the air again, adjust his path slightly, and dash forward.
And so, as the three mighty uncommon-grade beasts chased after each other in a deadly race, Neo played the role of the cute doggie tailing behind.
But the more Neo followed, the more his heart began to palpitate.
There were torn tree trunks, craters, corroded trees, exploded trees, sliced trees, uprooted trees… too many to count.
The devastation was so terrifying Neo couldn't imagine himself unleashing such power any time soon.
Which was why…
He smiled as he patted the small metallic devices tied in a satchel around his waist.
He was grateful he had brought the spirit snatcher along tonight, and he was going to steal one of the three evolved uncommon-grade beasts' bloodline essence!
He was going to obtain his own bloodline!
Preferably from the red-eyed lizard. After all, that beast possessed all four types of aura!
Every time Neo thought about it, he was still shocked!
Even at mythical grade, the highest known bloodline beast grade, it wasn't guaranteed to have even three auras, yet this comparatively 'cute' lizard had all four!

Neo's already dim vision suddenly darkened even more, and the disgusting sound of something slimy travelling through the air reached his ears.
Neo's mind rang with danger alarms as the mass of what was most definitely corrosive sh*t approached.
It was so huge, Neo wondered how large the gorilla king's anus was, but there was no time to worry about the primate's anatomy and prostate.
He dashed to the left, pinching his nose with a crazed urgency.
Goddammit! Smells like death!
Despite holding his breath and pinching his nose, the smell was all-consuming and unavoidable.
It was also hypnotic, as Neo began to feel a slight dizziness mere moments later!

Neo escaped from the range of that atomic weapon at last and gasped for precious oxygen.
He realised he had unknowingly come too close to the battling trio and had almost been caught in a stray attack, so he slowed his pace and moved forward more cautiously.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
As he moved closer, the sounds of the battle grew louder, and Neo knew that all three beasts had been holding back earlier to avoid harming their offspring and families during the fight.
But now, they could let loose. And the effect… was stunning!
Fwoosh!
The white tiger and the gorilla king charged at the lizard with their paws outstretched.
Their movements were near-instantaneous, and they arrived in front of it in the blink of an eye.
Boom! Boom!
A vivid dome of yellow aura suddenly bloomed around the lizard's body just in time, comfortably blocking the attacks of both beasts.
Then the lizard swiftly coated its claws in the red aura of sharpness and the black aura of destruction and struck at the tiger!
The white tiger, with the experience of countless battles, leapt away at the last moment, evading the attack.
But as it dodged, a 20-metre radius around them suddenly grew dim, and the same claw attack the tiger had just evaded miraculously appeared behind the gorilla king and slashed out ruthlessly!
Neo sucked in a cold breath.
This red-eyed lizard knew the innate bloodline skill of the destruction aura?

Just as the innate bloodline skill for the white aura of enhancement was flash, and the innate bloodline skill for the red aura of sharpness was swipe, the innate bloodline skill for the black aura of destruction was range.

The lizard had feigned an attack on the white tiger, putting distance between itself and the gorilla king while subconsciously lowering its guard.
Then, by abruptly using destruction range to transfer the damage to the gorilla's blind spot, it ensured the beast wouldn't be able to react in time.
It was right!

A massive, gaping wound appeared on the gorilla king's back. The poor beast felt its mind blank out in shock as it staggered forward. It didn't understand how the lizard had managed to do that.
The lizard had kept this trump card well-hidden. And it had proven worthwhile!
The white tiger roared in fury and pounced at the despicable lizard, as if ganging up on a beast of the same grade wasn't despicable enough.
Its whole body glowed with a strong white light as it pushed its enhancement aura to the limit.
The lizard, refusing to back down, also glowed a strong white as it pounced at the tiger.
Seeing this, Neo smiled even more. He was loving this lizard's fighting spirit the more he watched.
Boom!
A shockwave blasted outwards and dissipated after covering a few dozen metres.
Tiger and lizard clashed in a battle of strength, and the result was determined shortly after.
The lizard was flung away and hurriedly used range to stabilise itself. But then, it suddenly turned tail and ran?
Neo's brows furrowed. He had studied the behaviour of this beast enough to know that it wasn't one to simply give up after one clash.
In that case…
Neo's danger senses tingled. And a shocking thought entered his mind. What if…
Shit! Run!
As expected, a cataclysmic, earth-shaking explosion erupted from the tiger's body.
If Neo hadn't moved away moments before, he would have been caught in the blast, and the damage wouldn't have been light!

A huge, bloodied tiger head collided with a tree trunk several metres away from Neo as he ran, shocking him into squealing like a girl.
Now he knew why that lizard had fled!
It was a s**cide bomber!
