Chapter 94 - A Succulent Prey part 2

The young girl was genuinely shocked by her father's suggestion.

She couldn't understand why he was doing something like this...

What was so good about that guy that even someone like him was ready to do anything?

"I never saw you compromise. That's... abnormal. What is so good about him? Don't tell me that even me, your precious daughter, is unworthy of such a figure... is he some kind of genius from another sect or a prince from another dynasty?"

"Hehehe..." The father chuckled at her question: "No one in the entire universe is worthy of my dazzling daughter. And no... he is basically a nobody. You could say that he is an ordinary guy. Looking at him is like looking at one of the commoners in our city... it's just that..."

The young woman's interest was picked: "Well... then what let you think differently from other people that you want to give your daughter to him?"

"What?! Are you curious now?"

"Of course... your standard and dreams are even greater than the Great Emperor. What could grasp your interest so much?"

There was another moment of silence, and the father and daughter started looking into each other eyes.

However, this time, the young woman was at a disadvantage.

She couldn't hold back her anger after seeing that stupid grin on his father.

"Hey... are you mute or what??"

"Hehehe... your face is so beautiful when you are angry... Your mother always did it when... we were young and full of life..."

Strangely, at the end of his speech, the two lowered their head as if they wanted to hide something from each other.

Silence conquered the hall once again, but it didn't last long because the man was the first to make a sound: "If you are really so interested, why don't you go and find out about it? I don't think your master will tell you anything about this."

"Shady old fox... do you think I'm still that foolish little girl who would fall for your tricks?"

"Yep... look at your face... even your little nose is slightly twitching for the interest..."

"Hmph... who told you to be so annoying?" The young woman responded in a disgruntled tone at his blatant provocation and continued: "Fine... So, I will find out what truly makes him so worthy by myself. And... If... I'm telling you... IF... he can conquer this girl's heart, I will gladly take him as my husband. So, who is he?"

Finally reaching his objective, the man hastily gave her all the information he got from his spies.

"So, his name is Atlas, and he is... what?! Is that true? Is he truly that poor guy abused by the mountain's bandit?? What the hell are you thinking about? Are you senile or what?"

"Calm down and keep reading... That story was only a pretext to clean up some annoying small fries." He waited for such a response and answered calmly while looking at her peculiar expression.

"Let's see..." She was still confused by his attitude but resumed again: "... West of the continent... Village of Nevery, a small hut at the top of the mountain. A dangerous zone... For God's sake... who is he?"

The more she read, the more shocked and curious she was.

"Adopted by an old couple of mysterious origins, it is impossible to gain more information about them... True origins are impossible to determine... Last time, I saw him as a Primordial Chaos Realm warrior."

The information the spies gained was so detailed that if Atlas knew about it, he would be scared like a tiny mouse facing his worst predator.

Shock and confusion were the only two expressions visible on her face, which gave her father much thought.

It seemed that even her little daughter was reacting as he did.

"... What?! he is currently on a mission to find Oakur's daughter? Is she not the one gone missing weeks ago on Obscurium? What could a tiny Primordial Chaos warrior like him do in that place? Did he have a death wish, or did those bandits break his brain utterly?"

This was the most absurd story she had ever read in her life.

It was so absurd that she started to think it was all a joke...

"Dad... what crap is this? Are you trying to make this man more mysterious on purpose?"

"Hehehe..." He genuinely enjoyed that moment because her face brought up so many memories that he had long forgotten: "... isn't that an incredible story? I know it is too challenging to believe it, but all those pieces of information are authentic. I checked them a couple of times before giving them to you. I swear..."

"This makes no sense..." She could hardly believe it, but she was sure about one thing: her father had never lied to her.

At this point, her expression was beyond what one could imagine.

Shock ultimately ruled her mind and body, and as she kept reading, that book note became the only important thing in the hall.

Details about Atlas from his early years until now were reported incredibly well.

She learned everything about him, even the most annoying parts, but something finally made her confused.

"Why is there no information about his cultivation path?"

"It took you a lot to discover that... where you so engrossed with his life that you have gone stupid?"

"Stop annoying me! What else are you hiding from me?"

"Hehehe... I will tell you everything, but you must try hard with him and not let your stubborn self ruin everything. Promise me that, and I will tell you the most shocking secret... Damn, I paid a huge price to find out about it. So, it's a deal?"

It was not so favorable to hear her father add a new obligation to their deal since she had long considered escaping this mess with some excuse.

She looked a bit troubled, yet after thinking for a while, she conceded: "Damn you... Fine, speak! I promise you that..."

"Good... Good... Read this, and then destroy it... better not let this information wander in this world..."

She was even more curious, so she opened the tiny scroll with ramp attention...

The content was finally out, but she honestly couldn't believe it.

"Is that a joke? Didn't you tell me that he is in the Primordial Chaos Realm? If this is true, he is the first to succeed in such feat in a thousand years..."

"Not thousands, but even back in the past... the last one reported to be confirmed was a legendary character from the past..."

This revelation was beyond shocking. Even he, who already knew about it, was still amazed.

There was a single sentence on the note.

Alas, it disappeared along a blazing golden flame.

There was a moment of silence, and then the young woman turned around, leaving only a few words: "If he comes back from those terrifying waters, warn me. Otherwise, let's forget about all this matter as if nothing has happened."

Looking at her graceful figure going away with steady steps, he couldn't help but smile innocently: "Poor guy... I released a little monster... future son-in-law, don't blame me too much... my daughter deserves you more than anyone else out there..."
