Chapter 65 - A Hellish Training Ground part 1

One... two... three enemies came out from the ground.

'It will be an arduous battle ...'

Being outnumbered, especially against enemies with much higher power than yours, was a gamble.

Unfortunately, Atlas couldn't do otherwise, and while he hoped in his heart that that old drunkard would show up in case of need, he couldn't pass up such an opportunity.

So, with a quick leap, Atlas was back on his feet, and as if possessed by a reaper demon, he lunged at one of the three with everything he had.

If he wanted to survive, he had to use the enemy's weaknesses to his advantage, and he did just that.

He had noticed that the skeletons took a long time to free themselves from the tenacious grip of the ground, so he hit one of them with a brutal attack.

Enveloped by a holy power, Astra shattered the creature's bones, marking it with the divine judgment of light.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The massive damage slowed the enemy's awakening, but it wasn't enough. Indeed, it was time to dominate the battlefield with his powerful technique...

"Come forth!!!"

As if awakened by the mighty cry of its summoner, the ground around the young man roared.

CRACK!

Accompanied by an ethereal wind, piles of sand and rock broke away from the surrounding area and then grouped into a single point, forming a gigantic sphere.

Within seconds, a massive mound of debris formed, but this, of course, was not the final form of the spirit he had gained from the other side.

In fact, shortly after, the mound began to tremble, and some parts moved.

The stones that covered the outer part of the sphere fractured and began to move outwards, taking the sand enclosed inside with them.

Crack! Crack!

At first, long, mighty arms appeared, with hands so large that they frightened even one of the most brutal creatures in this world.

Then its legs followed, slightly shorter than its arms but so stubby and powerful that it was hard to imagine how the earth could not tremble with every step it took.

Finally, the torso was covered with granite slabs, and the head seemed an integral part of the body without even the neck.

GRUUU!

A strange noise shook the island.

Finally, the creature was showing its fearsome face.

Crack! Crack!

The upper part was fractured, and through those small openings passed a golden light that was so intense that you could see a mouth and two eyes.

GRUUU!

The mouth dropped open, and the immense magical power within the creature's body was seen, accumulated in the form of a dense ball of golden sand.

The Atlas' spirit had appeared in his world, but having summoned him to that place filled with death, his appearance was a little creepy, mainly because of those black rocks covered with long pulsating red veins.

BOOM!! BOOM! BOOM!

The creature knew its purpose in this world well, and as soon as it felt its body ready, it walked towards the second skeleton, shaking the earth with each step.

"Marvelous ... it's something similar to a golem three meters high ... too bad my enemies are stupid skeletons. Otherwise, its terrifying appearance would surely have made their souls waver..."

Atlas was shocked by that sight, but he avoided wasting more time and continued to scourge the first skeleton with all his strength.

"Earthly Submission!"

Atlas wanted to finish the battle as quickly as possible without taking too much damage, so in addition to summoning his loyal spirit, he used the skills learned in the last few days to dominate the battlefield.

Within a three-meter radius, the space around the young man was covered by a dense golden fog, and as if enveloped by a starry sky, Atlas lashed the creature's skull with all his might.

However, their level difference was so significant that Atlas realized only now their insurmountable life energy difference.

"Heck ... Luckily, I summoned that creature..."

BOOOM!!!!

There was a frightening smash, and the ground shook so much that Atlas had to plant his faithful companion on the ground to avoid falling.

"What the hell was that???"

Atlas turned his gaze back and noticed a deep crater in front of his companion.

"Impressive…"

Although the stony spirit's first attack was frightening, it was still a juvenile creature summoned by Atlas. Therefore, its power was far from that of the skeletons.

In fact, the creature of darkness recomposed his body in an instant after its devastating blow as if nothing had happened...

"Damn, what a tough creature... I just have to hope the creature can last for a few minutes... AHHH!"

Atlas turned back to his enemy, and after a couple more hits, he killed him without much problem.

Swoosh!

The adventurer rejoiced internally but remained lucid. He immediately moved on to the third target, who had already extracted every bone from the ground and was heading towards his precious stony spirit.

Atlas thought no further and charged toward the skeleton with the shield in front of him, and rather than hitting it with a powerful ax thrust, he impacted the rib cage like a mad bull.

BANG!

The impact was so tremendous that the skeleton's body flew at least 20 steps away, impacting one of the many rocks scattered around it.

Because of the impact, the bones parted, and not even the invisible magical threads that kept the body steady could do anything against that attack, which had hit precisely the weak point of that treacherous creature.

"Thank goodness it worked ... But it's pretty useless. I just gained some time."

The second skeleton had already begun to destroy the Golem with its giant, half-rusted ax, so Atlas whipped the third enemy, who was quickly rebuilding his body from the impact.

It was a different battle from the previous one, in which he had let himself be taken aback by the creature.

In fact, Atlas was dominating the battlefield and didn't want to lose that advantage.

The area effect of his Earthly Submission considerably slowed down that hideous creature's rebirth, giving the young man precious time. Still, in the end, the skeleton pulled out his two daggers and ferociously attacked the adventurer.

The damage was terrifying, but Atlas had almost reached his goal and continued undaunted.

"I'm almost there."
