Chapter 162: Stubborn
Ava tried to wriggle around and escape from his hug, but Aiden didn't let her go, and with his strong grip, she didn't even have a chance to escape.
Aiden rested her face on his chest; he could hear the silent sobbing sound coming from her. While he couldn't feel the wetness of her tears on his chest because of his armor, he knew she was crying.
He didn't understand what could be the reason for her to be like this. He had made a guess earlier, but he wasn't sure it was the actual reason. For now, he only caressed her back gently with his hands to make her feel better.
Seeing her crying only increased when he did that; he didn't think it was a problem because now she wasn't trying to escape from his grip and was only silently sobbing while being hugged. He had loosened the grip of the hug, but Ava didn't notice this, and if she had, she could have easily broken free.
