"It's been a while since I felt this fustration, why can't I use my powers yet? People half my age are using powers like it's nothing!" Jack thought while sitting on his chair in his room. After a while he completed his daily exercise routine and went to sleep. What bothered him the most is that he should already be able to use his powers as he recently completed his 20th birthday. On avarage everyone around at the age of 13 gets their unique powers. The early you get your power the faster you can master them, this is the reason Jacks fustration was getting intense.
The morning light streamed through the window, illuminating Jack's room and casting long shadows across the floor. He blinked awake, feeling a strange energy thrumming beneath his skin. It was different—intense, almost electric. Sitting up, he rubbed his eyes and tried to shake off the remnants of sleep.
"Why can't I use my powers yet?" he muttered to himself, frustration bubbling up again. It had been a long time since he felt this way. At twenty, he should have been harnessing his abilities, but instead, he felt like he was stuck in neutral while everyone else zoomed past him.
After completing his daily exercise routine, Jack stood up and stretched, the muscles in his arms and legs taut and ready. He glanced at the door, a simple wooden barrier that had always felt mundane. But today, it seemed to pulse with possibility.
He approached it, a surge of determination coursing through him. "Come on, just open," he whispered, gripping the handle tightly. As he twisted it, a sudden rush of energy surged through him, and with a forceful yank, the door splintered under his grip, sending shards flying into the hallway.
"What the—?" Jack stepped back, his heart racing. He stared at the broken door, disbelief mixing with exhilaration. "I did that?"
Taking a deep breath, he walked into the kitchen, still buzzing from the unexpected display of power. He filled a glass with water from the tap, but as he lifted it to his lips, steam began to rise, the liquid boiling almost instantly.
"Whoa!" he exclaimed, nearly dropping the glass. He set it down, watching as the water bubbled and hissed, the heat radiating from it. "This is insane!"
Jack leaned against the counter, a mix of awe and anxiety flooding his mind. "Okay, this is definitely a lot to process," he said aloud, trying to make sense of it all. "I finally have powers, but I need to control them."
He closed his eyes, focusing on the energy that felt so foreign yet familiar. "I can't let this go to waste. I have to learn how to use it."
Jack took a deep breath, grounding himself. "Just focus," he murmured. "You can do this."
He concentrated on the water, willing it to cool down. Slowly, he felt the temperature drop, the steam dissipating as the water settled into a more manageable warmth. A grin spread across his face. "Yes! I can control it!"
With renewed determination, he looked around the kitchen, imagining the possibilities. "If I can do this, what else can I achieve?"
Jack knew he had a long way to go, but for the first time in a long while, he felt a flicker of hope. This was just the beginning, and he was ready to embrace the journey ahead.
