Chapter 41 - Six Months to Annihilation

The first monster charged at me; its glowing red eyes locked with mine….

"Fucking piece of shit…" I snarled, my voice dripping with malice. "You think you're going to take me down?!"

Its claws swiped at my face fast as lightning, but I ducked under the strike, twisting my body to the side. My fist lashed out and slammed into its armoured chest. The impact echoed like thunder, and it stumbled back, but the force from the punch wasn't enough to break its hide…

"Not yet…" I muttered, with an evil grin spread on my face. "Not fucking yet..."

Behind it, the rest of the horde was closing in—thousands of glowing eyes, claws gleaming in the sunlight. The ground shook under their weight; the sound of their roars was like a hurricane tearing through my ears…

"Bring it on!!!" I roared as I charged into the first wave.

My fists flew. Every punch was like a hammer, shattering bones and tearing through flesh. I slammed my knee into one of their jaws, and the crunch of its fangs snapping filled me with sick satisfaction. Its acidic saliva sprayed across my chest, burning through my skin, but I didn't fucking care…

Another monster lunged at me, claws slicing through the air. I twisted out of its reach, drove my elbow into its throat, and crushed its windpipe. It crumpled to the ground, wheezing and twitching…

"You're weak…" I spat, planting my foot on its head and grinding it into the dirt. "Fucking weak…"

Another came at me from behind, and I barely had time to turn. Its claws raked across my side, slicing deep. I felt my ribs crack as I was flung into a tree; the impact shattered the trunk…

"FUCK!!!" I shouted, spitting blood as I staggered to my feet. "You want to play rough? Let's fucking go!!!"

I grabbed the nearest creature by its head and slammed it into the ground. The impact created a small crater, and its body twitched like a bug before going still. Another rushed at me, biting down on my shoulder. I screamed as its acidic saliva burned through my flesh, and with a roar of pure rage, I ripped its jaw apart with my bare hands…

"Eat shit, assholes!!!" I bellowed as I threw its twitching body into another charging monster…

Days turned into weeks. I didn't stop…. The only thing that kept me standing was pure, unbridled fury and rage. My fists were bloodied, and my knuckles were cracked and raw, but I had no time to take any rest. I kept swinging my fist…

They tore my arm off once. I watched the bastard rip it clean from the socket with its massive jaws. Blood gushed from the wound, but I didn't stop. I drove my remaining fist into its eye and shattered its skull. My arm grew back within hours; it was stronger than before…

"Nice try, dickhead…" I muttered, flexing my regenerated fingers. "But you're going to have to do better than that if you want to kill me..."

My legs were shredded more times than I could count. Acidic claws slashed through my thighs, and once, one of the fuckers bit one of my legs clean off. I fell to the ground while laughing like a maniac…

"Is that it?!" I screamed as I crawled toward the next monster. "You think taking my fucking leg is enough to stop me?!"

I dragged myself onto its back with my remaining leg, wrapped my arms around its neck, and snapped its spine with a single twist. My legs grew back within one hour. My regenerative ability got faster as I fought with those monsters went on…

By the second month, the line between day and night had blurred into an endless cycle of blood and violence. My body moved on pure instinct… My body became a machine of destruction forged by pain and rage. The air reeked of acid and death…

The horde came at me in waves, claws gleaming, fangs dripping with corrosive saliva. They tore at my flesh, trying to rip me apart, but my body refused to stay down.

Week 5:

One of the bastards bit my arm clean off again. This one was bigger than the others; its jaws were like a vice. The pain shot through me, but I barely blinked. I didn't stop. With my remaining hand, I grabbed a shard of metallic bark from a fallen tree and drove it into the creature's eye. Its roar was deafening, but I twisted the shard deeper until its head split like a ripe melon…

"Take my arm…" I snarled, blood dripping from my lips as I wrenched the bark free. "See how far that gets you, you ugly fuck..."

The stump of my arm twitched, the flesh writhing like it was alive. I watched in real-time as the muscles regrew and fibres stitched themselves together with alarming speed. My bones snapped back into place with sickening cracks, and within minutes, my arm was whole again…

"Faster this time…" I muttered, flexing my fingers. "Good. I'll fucking need it…"

Week 8:

By now, the horde had adapted. They didn't charge blindly anymore. They circled me and tried to strike when my back was turned. But it didn't matter…

I drove my fist into one of their chests, and the force of the blow sent it flying into the others. I grabbed another by its leg as it tried to retreat and slammed it into the ground so hard its body split in half. Its blue blood sprayed everywhere and covered my entire body. This monster's blood was acidic, and it burnt my skin. The pain was blinding, but it didn't fucking stop me…

My flesh hissed and sizzled as the acid ate away at it. I stumbled, my chest stripped down to raw muscle and exposed bone. The bastards seized the opportunity, piling on me like rabid dogs. Their claws tore into my back, shredding muscle and cracking ribs…

For a moment, I went down under the weight of them.

But I didn't stay down…

"You think this is enough?!" I roared, the sound of my scream vibrating through the pile of bodies. "You think I'm fucking done?!"

With a guttural scream, I pushed myself up, throwing their bodies off me in every direction. Blood gushed from my wounds, but the regeneration kicked in almost instantly. The muscle regrew faster than ever, and skin crawled back over it like it was alive. My chest was whole before I'd even finished standing…

"Nice try, assholes…" I spat, wiping a hand across my face. "But you're too fucking slow."

Week 12:

The battlefield was unrecognizable. What was once a dense forest became a desolate wasteland. Craters littered the ground, each one a reminder of my strikes. The few trees that still stood were scarred and splintered; their glowing leaves dim from the chaos…

But the horde never stopped coming. For every one I killed, ten more took its place. Their acidic blood and saliva soaked the ground, turning it into a bubbling mire. My body bore the marks of their relentless attacks, flesh torn, bones broken… but every injury healed faster than the last…

One of the bigger fuckers with, a massive brute with reinforced armour, charged at me. I let it hit me, its claws tearing through my stomach and spilling my guts onto the ground. The pain was excruciating, but I grinned through the blood…

"You think that's enough to stop me?" I hissed, grabbing its jaw with both hands. With a roar, I ripped its head clean off, blue blood spraying over my face and chest. My intestines slithered back into place and the wound sealed shut within seconds…

"Next," I muttered, tossing the head aside.

Month 4:

By now, the regeneration had become second nature. My body didn't just heal… it adapted. My skin was as hard as steel, deflecting weaker blows entirely. My bones, once brittle and fragile, had become like iron…

The horde was relentless, but I was fucking unstoppable…

One of them managed to slice my leg off at the knee. I didn't even flinch. I balanced on my remaining leg and swung the severed one like a club, smashing its head into a pulp. My leg grew back within minutes...

Another creature bit down on my shoulder, trying to tear my arm off. I laughed, grabbing its head and smashing it into the ground until there was nothing left but a bloody smear…

"Keep trying…" I growled, cracking my neck as I faced the next wave. "You're only making me stronger..."

Month 5:

The horde started thinning, but they fought harder, more desperately. It didn't matter. Every punch I threw left craters in the ground. Every kick sent shockwaves that toppled the remaining trees. I was no longer fighting for survival… I was annihilating them…

One of the bastards tried to flank me, its claws aimed at my neck. I caught it mid-strike and crushed its skull with a single squeeze. Another lunged at me from the front. I drove my fist into its chest, and it exploded into chunks of blue flesh and bone…

"Pathetic…" I muttered, stepping over the remains. "You're not even worth my fucking time…"

Month 6:

The air was thick with the stench of death and blood. The once-vibrant forest was now an unrecognizable wasteland. Trees that had stood tall… laid shattered, their metallic bark splintered and scorched. The ground was a mosaic of craters, jagged fissures, and pools of bubbling acid. Blue blood soaked every inch of the earth, forming rivers that shimmered under the harsh, alien sun…

I stood in the centre of it all, my body drenched in gore and my chest heaving as I stared down the last of them.

"You've got guts…" I muttered, my voice flat and devoid of emotion. I wiped a smear of blood from my face, smearing it across my already stained skin. "But guts won't save you…"

They charged, claws tearing into the already broken ground, acidic saliva dripping from their fangs…

I didn't flinch…

Instead, I raised my fist, clenching it tight. The air around it shimmered with the force of my power and the sheer pressure caused the ground beneath me to crack…

"You've fought hard…" I said softly, almost as if I were addressing a worthy opponent. "But you're nothing compared to me..."

The first monster lunged at me; its claws aimed at my chest. I met it head-on and drove my fist into its face. The impact wasn't just a strike… it was an obliteration. Its entire body exploded into a mist of blue blood and chunks of flesh; the force of the blow sent shockwaves through the air…

"Next…" I growled while stepping forward.

They came at me in droves, but it didn't matter…

One by one, I tore through them. My punches didn't just kill them… they were completely annihilated. The battle turned into a one-sided massacre. Each strike sent bodies flying, shattering them into pieces that rained down like morbid confetti. The earth trembled with every movement I made, unable to withstand the sheer force of my power….

The remaining 500 monsters surrounded me, their guttural growls echoing through the wasteland. Their glowing red eyes burned with hatred and desperation. They knew... They fucking knew this was the end, and so did I. They were trembling...

"Look at you…" I muttered, my voice low and icy. I glanced at the blood dripping from my knuckles. "You're already dead, and you know it..."

But they didn't retreat. They roared as one, a deafening sound of defiance that shook the broken ground. Then, like a tidal wave of claws and fangs, they lunged at me together, throwing everything they had left into one final, desperate attack…

"Fine…" I said, planting my feet firmly into the cracked earth. The ground beneath me groaned, fractures spidering outward. "Let's end this..."

I drew back my fist slowly, the air around my fist warping and rippling from the sheer force radiating off me. The pressure was suffocating, a crushing weight that seemed to pull everything toward it. The monsters hesitated mid-charge; their bodies trembled as if they could feel their own deaths getting closer…

The wind screamed around me, spiraling into a vortex centred on my clenched hand, and the earth beneath my feet began to form cracks…

"You should've stayed the fuck down…" I growled, my voice cold and devoid of mercy.

With a roar that drowned out the monsters' cries, I slammed my fist into the ground…

The moment my fist connected, the world seemed to shatter…

A massive shockwave erupted outward, obliterating everything in its path. The force was so powerful it tore through the remaining monsters instantly, reducing their bodies to ash and scattering their remains into the wind. Their roars were cut short, replaced by an eerie silence as the wave of destruction consumed them…

The ground split apart, massive cracks racing outward from the impact. The remaining toppled trees, scarred and broken from the months of battle, disintegrated into splinters and dust. The few pieces of forest still clinging to existence were wiped clean, leaving nothing but a barren, smoldering expanse…

The shockwave didn't stop there. It rippled out into the horizon, leveling hills and tearing apart the landscape. Rocks shattered into dust, and the earth itself seemed to groan in agony as it was torn asunder…

When the dust finally began to settle, a massive crater stretched around me, spanning at least 1.5 kilometers in every direction. The edges glowed faintly from the heat of the impact, and the ground still trembled beneath my feet. There was nothing left…no monsters, no trees, no signs of life. Just the emptiness of my wrath…

I straightened slowly, brushing the dust from my shoulders. My body was unscathed. I rolled my neck, listening to the satisfying crack of my joints, and let out a slow, steady breath…

"That's it?" I muttered, my voice cold and flat. "Six months, and this is all you had?!"
