As the clients walked in I saw that he was drunk. He was judging us and making fun of our appearance. I looked at Sasuke and Sakura. They were glaring at their client. Kakashi was just reading his book and giggling like usual until Hiruzen spoke and told us his name was Tazuna, and we were going to escort him to the land of waves and help him build a bridge. Hiruzen said we should only encounter weak thugs, but when he said that, I saw Tazuna start sweating and getting nervous. It was almost as if he got sober instantly. I was thinking, why would he be so nervous about thugs? He knows we are Ninja, and we have a Jōnin, and we should be able to deal with some weak thugs. When I was about to come up with an explanation I heard Kakashi tell us to get ready and meet at the village gate tomorrow and get ready to leave the village for a couple of days.
I left and got ready for tomorrow. I was about to go to sleep, and then I started to think about Tazuna's strange behavior. I knew it was not going to be a C-rank mission, so I decided to just go to sleep. I woke up and got ready and Sasuke and I walked to the gate village. Kakashi was surprisingly early today and we started to walk to the land of the waves. I was on guard just in case we were ambushed or something until I saw a water puddle even though he hadn't rained. I got ready for an attack. Two ninjas came out of the puddle and they went for Kakashi. First, I was about to intervene, but I saw Kakashi didn't do anything. Then I stopped myself because I knew he had a plan. After all, he could easily take them down, so I waited to see what he would do. They brutally took Kakashi down and went for us next, but me and Sasuke went and engaged them in hand-to-hand combat, and we easily incapacitated them. Then I looked at where Kakashi was brutally killed, and his body was replaced with a tree log, and he was behind us looking at Tazuna suspiciously. He started to question Tazuna about the mission and then he admitted that he lied about the mission rank because they could not afford it.
Kakashi then asked us if we wanted to continue and we said yes and went back to walking to the land of the wave. While we were walking, Tazuna explained that a man by the name of Gato ruled over the land of the waves and that there was a lot of poverty there, which is why he needed our help to free them from his control. We took a boat and we were now back to walking again. Then I saw Sasuke throw a kunai at a bush. We inspected the bush and saw that he hit a white rabbit, but that was weird because they only live In cold areas. I heard Kakashi say duck and I immediately ducked. I saw it was a big sword that was thrown at us, and now it was stuck to a tree, and someone was on the sword. I couldn't see who it was but I knew that this fight would not be easy.
