Luckily for me a driver passing by was kind enough to stop for me, taking me back into town with my lifeless mother.
He dropped me off at my mother's house, I carried her and laid her on her body on her bed. I walked towards Pete's room, opening the door slowly, my gaze falling on Pete's lifeless body on the chair.
Tears clouded my eyes, I walked towards him, kneeling beside him.
"I'm so sorry Pete," I said, tears streaming down my eyes. I closed his eyes with my hand, crying out my eyes.
Removed his bedsheet and spread it over him and walked out of the room, my heart broken and heavy, closing the door behind me.
I walked over to the living room, sitting in the silence thinking and processing everything about my life.
