My eyes widened in shock after hearing the gun sound. My dad was initially pointing the gun at me, after he told me to sit still when Cassandra was been dragged out. I looked down at my stomach and sighed in relief, I wasn't shot my mom had pushed him down already diverting his hand to shoot one of his men who was now laying lifeless on the floor.
My mom immediately collected the gun from my dad's hand, pointing the gun at him. His men were already at alert ready to shoot her down.
"Mom, what are you doing?" I said, my voice trembling. "Put the gun down, mom, please," I pleaded with her.
"This is the goddamn reason why your father and I couldn't work out, this unruly behavior," she said, tears streaming down her eyes.
"Mom, I understand, just put the gun down, please," I pleaded yet again.
