Chapter 171 - Sky Pearl Poison

Ten days passed by in a flash.

A cold night fell, and in the dark room lit by moonlight from the window, El prepared to return to the Reincarnation Room.

Now, El wore an all-black suit of shirt, trench coat, trousers, and shoes that blended perfectly with his aura.

Standing in the center of the room, El glanced at the wall clock not far away. "It's nine o'clock at night, ten days have passed... Yuri still has no news. Doesn't he want to come with me?" she muttered.

Suddenly, a familiar voice came from the balcony. "My handsome man- No, my dear dog, why are you in such a hurry to leave?"

"Can we make out tonight? You're on top. You'll be satisfied with me."

El immediately turned around, opening the balcony door. The night breeze blew through, making his hair and trench coat flutter.

Under the moonlit night sky, El walked onto the balcony, looking at the tiny figure of Yuri, the ghost spirit, who was sitting on the railing holding a small wooden box.

Because Yuri's body was too small, the size of the box looked huge.

The night breeze suddenly blew Yuri's flowing hair gently, creating an atmosphere of deep silence.

"Yuri, where have you been all this time?" El asked in a cold tone, though without any bad intentions.

Yuri turned his head with a mischievous smile, her eyes sparkling. "What's going on? Missing me, you lolicon..." she teased.

El just sighed, stepping to her side while looking at the forest spread out in front of them. "You suddenly left, at least tell me beforehand," he said flatly.

Yuri chuckled softly, turning her gaze back to the scenery. "Hihi... It's like you're in love with me. I feel guilty... Hihi."

El gave his a cold glance. "You've always treated me like a toy. I can never guess what you want. So, if you're bored, just say so."

In an artificially soft tone, Yuri replied, "My dear Adrian, you are never boring. You are handsome, sometimes cold, sometimes warm and your destiny is interesting."

Yuri paused for a moment before handing over the small wooden box in her hand. "But ignore that first. This is for you. Master managed to fix it, though only half because she was too lazy."

El didn't understand what she meant, but he accepted the box with a flat expression, then opened it.

When it was opened, inside, was a round green gem, about the size of a palm. Its color resembled the purest jade, translucent and sparkling like marbles, exuding a mysterious aura.

A rare look of surprise appeared on El's face. "This..." he said softly.

Without hesitation, he activated the assessment function of the system. A holographic screen appeared in front of him, displaying the details of the item in his hand.

El looked at the green gem in his hand, his facial expression turning serious. "Isn't this the Sky Poison Pearl, like Yun Che's in World Against the Gods? How did it end up in your hands?" he asked Yuri in a demanding tone.

His statement was not without basis. The Sky Poison Pearl was one of the main artifacts that drove Against the Gods' storyline, aside from the Samsara Mirror Yun Che's parents had inherited.

If this was now in his hands, especially in a damaged condition as indicated by the system notification, it meant that something had happened to Yun Che, or perhaps Yun Che never had it.

El swallowed, beginning to feel the weight of what he was holding. This gem was one of the Seven Profound Heavenly Treasures, ranked fifth.

According to El, this legendary artifact was the only one in every Against the Gods timeline. Its abilities included poison, medicine, purification, and storage space.

The realization hit him hard. If the other Beyonders, including his good acquaintances like Sister Ichigo, knew that he possessed this thing, they would not hesitate to attack hus for it.

El let out a long breath, his eyes fixed on the green gem that cast a soft glow on the box in his hand. Its luster seemed serene, but behind the beauty was a potential disaster.

He realized that the presence of the Sky Poison Pearl in his hand was not only a fortune, but also a threat.

This artifact could attract the attention of high-level Beyonders who would not hesitate to hunt it down and seize it.

The image made his heart heavy, realizing that the quiet and peaceful life he had been yearning for might never happen.

"If they find out I have it..." he thought, staring at the gem that glistened green as it reflected the cold light of the moon.

As El stared at the jewels in the wooden box, Yuri just smiled sweetly, looking at El with a meaningful gaze. "Where I got it from, that's a secret. What is clear, this is for you. Use it wisely," she said lightly.

El looked down, letting out a long breath as she examined the gem. "Use it, you say? I hope so, but this is a Silver-level item, although its rank has dropped to Bronze due to damage."

"But, I'm still Authority level 5, meaning I can't use it now," El said with a sigh. "I need to reach Authority level 4 or 3 to be able to use this item."

However, El suddenly fell silent, his mind spinning rapidly. "Wait... This Sky Poison Pearl recognizes Yun Che as its owner because of the Samsara Mirror. But I... I have something similar, Rinnegan."

El was silent for a moment, her eyes closed, then opened her eyelids quietly. Letting out a long sigh, she decided to take the plunge.

"It's worth a try. If it fails, I'll keep this thing in my home in this world for safekeeping," he muttered in a flat tone.

With growing determination, El closed his eyes once more, summoning Rinnegan's strength to wake up and answer his call.

As soon as his eyes opened, a transformation took place. The night breeze, which previously felt normal, now blew colder. Time seemed to slow down, and the power of Samsara began to feel closer.

El's eyes turned from black to bright purple, their luster striking in the darkness.

Ripple patterns appeared, followed by the appearance of tomoe spinning one after another, forming a map of the galaxy that was clearly visible in her eyelids.

At the same time, Sky Pearl Poison reacted. The green aura emanating from the gem was noticeably strong, the vibrations intensifying as Rinnegan focused his gaze on it. It was as if the gem was afraid, trembling before a greater power.

"Submit to me," El said in a cold voice, his voice full of authority.

Without hesitation, El deactivated the storage ring, making it appear on his right ring finger. Then El touched the trembling Sky Pearl Poison in the box.

As soon as his fingers touched the gem, it magically transformed into a beam of green energy that was absorbed into his body.

El felt the presence of the object begin to connect with his body, signaling that Sky Pearl Poison now recognized El as its master.

Sighing, El deactivated the Rinnegan, hiding the incredible power he had just used. Wordlessly, Yuri instantly entered El's body, merging with his.

Focused, El directed his attention into his system, choosing the option to return to the Reincarnation Room. Slowly, his body began to disappear, like grains of sand in the wind.

After El returned to the dimly lit room in the Reincarnation Room. Wasting no time, El operated the Reincarnation Room's control system to visit the Black Bullet World.

El's entire body was surrounded by white light, he suddenly disappeared, moving to the place where he last returned to the Black Bullet World.

El moved on the rooftop of a building. This was the last place El returned to the Reincarnation Room. In a way, this place was a check point.

The sun was overhead, signaling midday. Wasting no time, after looking around, found the rebuilt Monolith 32 visible in the distance.

El jumped down from the building and landed in a narrow alley. At this time El's goal was simple, to return to his apartment and immediately adopt Kayo, Aoi and Sawa.

After some thought, El decided to adopt the three little girls as her daughters. "Being a father to them, doesn't seem bad..." El muttered, smiling faintly.

El strode along the streets of a vibrant city, a far cry from the memories of a desolate past.

The graffiti stains and broken windows on the surrounding buildings had disappeared, even the scattered trash was gone.

The formerly dark life had been replaced by a more orderly and peaceful scene.

"It seems like it's been a while since the rehabilitation for the war against Gastrea was completed," El said quietly as he looked around his
