Chapter 145 - Two Personality

Suddenly, Seitenshi's main personality slowly began to take over. The cold and sharp gaze that previously graced his face now turned softer, signaling the return of full consciousness.

Seitenshi blinked a few times, then let out a long breath, feeling a bit of confusion creep into his mind.

As her eyes opened fully, her gaze immediately fell on the man lying weakly beside him.

Seitenshi's face flushed instantly as she realized how close they were, only centimeters apart on the same bed.

Reflexively, Seitenshi's hand pulled back the blanket to cover himself, even though he was fully clothed.

"Huh... Who is he? And why is he in my room?" she thought, slightly panicked. Her gaze refocused on the man, a Civil Security who was quite famous as a newcomer.

Seitenshi remembered him clearly. His name was El Ira Adrian, a man with an outstanding reputation despite only joining a month ago.

His promoter, Kayo Senju, often boasted of his abilities that were said to surpass ordinary human standards.

But now, seeing him lying weak, unconscious beside her, covered in blood, an uneasy feeling began to tug at her heart.

However, there was something even more disturbing. The man's face felt familiar, though his hair was pitch black, looking very different from the vague image that now filled her mind.

Seitenshi narrowed her eyes, trying to reassemble the pieces of memory that felt blurry. "Why does he feel so familiar?" she muttered softly, his eyes searching the man's face.

Her gaze lingered on the man's clothes-his white shirt was covered in bloodstains, contrasting with his pale skin.

Then, her fingers unconsciously touched the ring on the ring finger of her right hand, a ring that was beautiful and glittering. It seemed to bear witness to a promise that had been made.

In an instant, the memory surfaced. A man with long white hair who promised to marry her as a responsibility.

Seitenshi swallowed, his face paled before slowly turning bright red.

"No way... It must be a coincidence," she said to herself, trying to dismiss the thought. "The hair is different... But the clothes are similar."

However, doubt lingered in her heart. Her heart beat faster as she watched the man more closely.

Hesitantly, Seitenshi reached out her hand to touch his face, but immediately pulled it back, ashamed of her own actions.

"What should I do?" she thought, feeling indecisive. "If he really is that person... Why is he here, too? And why is his shirt full of blood? What really happened?"

In the silence of the night, Seitenshi could only sit on the edge of the bed, letting his mind swirl with mixed feelings.

Those feelings were fear, hope, and the desire to know the truth hidden behind the mysterious figure beside him.

The silence that had enveloped the room was suddenly broken by a voice that echoed in Seitenshi's mind, a voice that was similar to his but felt flat and distorted.

"I'll explain everything, please go to the mirror and look at your reflection."

A voice echoed in Seitenshi's mind, breaking the silence that had previously enveloped the room. The voice sounded cold and flat, yet strangely similar to his own voice.

Seitenshi's mind instantly awoke from its confusion, her eyes combing the room for the source of the voice. Her heart was pounding, the confusion shaking her even more.

"Who's there?" she asked, slightly panicked, as she looked around her, "Is it just a hallucination? That voice sounds just like me..."

"This is not a hallucination. Do as I say, and you'll understand." the voice sounded more stern, as if giving orders.

Although hesitant, the curiosity that surrounded him finally pushed Seitenshi to follow the instructions. Slowly, she got up from the bed, her legs feeling a little unsteady, and walked towards the dressing table located not far from her.

As she stood in front of the mirror, his eyes immediately focused on his reflection. She was surprised.

The color of her eyes was different from usual, like those of a Cursed Child or even Gastrea, with a strange and sharp color, resembling the eyes of a cat full of mystery and strangeness.

"What happened to my eyes?" she said in a surprised voice, her eyes probing her reflection which now looked much more frightening.

Suddenly, her reflection in the mirror showed a very different expression, much more serious and stern, in contrast to her shocked look and obvious confusion.

"Don't be afraid, I'll tell you everything. You should know all this too, main personality." Her reflection said seriously, as if speaking to someone very familiar.

Then the second personality began to explain everything to Seitenshi, about what had happened to her body and what El had done.

However, there was one thing that the second personality deliberately overlooked, the recording that depicted a passionate body that was actually a lie.

After all, the main personality would find out sooner or later.

Silence had returned to the room as the second personality finished his explanation. However, Seitenshi's mood was far from calm.

A burning anger slowly rose within him. She clenched her fists, staring intently at her reflection in the mirror.

"You... just made me into something that isn't human..." she said in a cold voice, full of suppressed emotion.

The reflection of herself in the mirror, which was the second personality, continued to look at her calmly.

That serious and calculating expression was unwavering, as if it had prepared an answer to any anger that might come.

"This is all for your sake. No-it's for the sake of our weak bodies," replied the second personality, voice flat but firm. "We are often the target of the dirty hands of the powerful. You know that better than I do. Even with that, we can chat at the same time."

Her words trailed off for a moment, before he continued, "So, gaining this power without losing our human consciousness and turning into monsters... that's not a bad thing, is it?"

Seitenshi fell silent, trying to digest the words. The bitter truth of his second personality's words felt like thorns piercing his heart. He let out a long breath, trying to calm the overwhelming emotions.

"Alright," Seitenshi said, her voice calmer though there was still a hint of annoyance in it. "Your reasoning is understandable, even if it means I have to frequently drink human blood to survive and increase my strength or sleep for long periods of time."

After saying so, her eyes slowly fell on El who was lying weakly beside him.

Seitenshi's face that was previously full of tension slowly changed. The feeling of embarrassment crept back into her, making her cheeks blush.

"Not only did we do that together and I seemed to enjoy it..." she murmured softly, her voice trembling as she recalled the previous explanation. "But this man... also wiped my entire body..."

Seitenshi covered his face with both hands, trying to hold back the growing embarrassment. "You really should take responsibility." Seitenshi said softly.

After feeling better, Seitenshi fell silent, looking back at El who was still unconscious. Mixed feelings surrounded her heart between shame, gratitude, and doubt.

However, underneath it all, there was a glimmer of warmth that she found hard to explain, a new emotion that grew without her realizing it.
