The cold night was piercing, the gray sky overshadowing the streets full of building debris that looked like the remnants of a great battle.
Among the ruins, El ran at an incredible speed, each step leaving a faint imprint on the ruined ground.
The air around him still felt heavy, as if responding to the aura of great power emanating from his body.
His rinnegan was no longer active, but the traces of its effects were still felt, leaving glints of energy in the pitch-black eyes that now looked like ordinary human eyes.
The costume that served as a disguise identity had now been hidden in digital mode, revealing his true figure: a black-haired young man, but with a face that radiated fatigue.
Although Rinnegan had been deactivated, the Demon Slayer Mark was still active, glowing faintly on his body.
El knew that if he turned off the ability now, the weight of prolonged use would immediately hit the body brutally, like being hit by a giant hammer without mercy.
But maintaining the mark for longer was also not without risk. El was well aware that maintaining the Demon Slayer Mark would bring terrible side effects.
The tremendous pressure could force his body to explode from within: blood rushing from his mouth, nose, eyes, ears, even his pores was a very likely scenario.
Even the Star Crystal, with its healing abilities would probably not be able to fully repair this fatal damage in a short period of time.
However, El persisted. He relied on his strengthened body, with the VIT attribute reaching 220 points. In total, El's stamina would amount to 660 points, an incredible number for a human.
All of this, combined with the effects of her abilities and title, made El's body a living fortress capable of withstanding the weight that would normally crush others.
In El's personal calculations, her combined attributes surpassed even Yoruichi Tsugukuni, who was estimated to be in the early levels of Authority Level 4.
With that advantage, El was able to extend the duration of the Demon Slayer Mark longer than before. It also allows his body regeneration to work faster, alleviating the side effects after activating the Demon Slayer Mark.
It even further maximized Rinnegan's abilities, due to the tremendous amount of stamina in exchange for chakra.
Even so, El's footsteps slowly became heavier. Every second that passed added pressure to her body, like an invisible weight that kept growing.
However, El forged ahead, no matter how severe the consequences. For himself, stopping was not an option. He had to keep moving, until everything was done.
The Demon Slayer Mark that burned like holy fire slowly faded away, leaving only a faint trace on his skin.
El's previously sturdy body now felt extremely heavy, every step an unbearable burden. Until finally, the remaining strength vanished.
El's footsteps suddenly stopped, his body lost balance, and he fell down onto the hard asphalt, rolling several times until he stopped among the rubble.
Blood began to flow profusely from his nose and eyes, leaving contrasting dark stains on his face. "This is... bad," he muttered weakly, voice full of worry.
This place still belonged to the danger zone. If Gastrea appeared, under these conditions, El would be easy prey.
"Yuri... because of you, all my calculations went wrong!" he hissed angrily in the midst of despair, trying hard to get up despite his body shaking violently.
Yuri's voice echoed in his mind. "Adrian, you should use the Star Crystal and your healing potion. Hurry up, you still have two more potions, right?"
"I know..." replied El breathlessly, his hands shaking as he accessed the Storage Ring and pulled out two small glass bottles filled with green liquid.
With difficulty, he uncapped the bottles and drank them down, the bitter taste jolting his tongue. Not stopping there, he immediately activated the Star Crystal, which instantly emitted a warm white light, enveloping his body with regenerating energy.
However, that hope soon faded. His body did not respond as it should. "Uhuk... uhuk!" El coughed violently, blood spurting from her mouth, mixing with the blood that continued to flow from the corners of his eyes, nose, and ears.
The pores of his skin also began to bleed, indicating severe damage to his blood vessels. Every little movement felt like thousands of needles piercing his torn flesh.
The muscle fibers in El's body were torn apart spewing unbearable pain, making his body curl up in agony.
"Ugh... this is... my limit," he muttered hoarsely, voice barely audible.
El's vision grew blurry, the world around his spinning until it finally went dark. In the silence of the night, El's body drooped, lying helplessly on the blood-soaked ground.
However, amidst her slowly fading consciousness, a blurry image emerged from the darkness.
A faint yet familiar scent wafted through the air, touching his memory. With the remnants of her vision, El caught the silhouette of a woman wearing soft blue satin pyjamas.
The woman's pale blue hair seemed to shimmer under the dim light. Her irises were faintly plum red in colour, like a cat's and glowed through the darkness.
"Huh... Seitenshi- no, this must be her new personality." El thought before everything went completely dark.
. .
Under the faint moonlight, Seitenshi's shadow approached El's body that was lying helplessly among the rubble of the building. Her plum-red irises shone sharply, emitting a cold aura that contrasted with the faint smile on her lips.
El's body looked fragile, bloodstains littering the clothes and ground around her, presenting a sight that would make anyone feel pity, except for Seitenshi in her second personality.
Calmly, she lowered the grocery bag in her right hand, the contents of which were several bags of blood that glistened in the moonlight. Seitenshi placed them near El, as if to emphasise the irony of the situation.
{N/A: Some how? Seitenshi become like vampir, not Demon Origin.... •_< ~Tehe!}
"See? Now who's the fragile one?" she said in a cold, almost mocking tone, her voice containing a new personality that was far different from her previous gentleness.
Seitanshi took the crystal Star and put it into the pocket of El's trench coat. After that, without hesitation, Seitenshi lifted El's heavy body easily onto her shoulder.
The transformation into a demon had made his physical strength far beyond that of an ordinary human, allowing him to carry El's weight while still holding onto his shopping bag.
Seitenshi's steps were steady, though there was a hint of doubt on her face as he spoke to himself. "Where should I take this guy?" she muttered in a confused tone, while gazing at the ruins around him.
Arriving near a solid wall, Seitenshi lowered El's body carefully, leaning him against it to make it look more comfortable.
However, something in the air caught her attention. The strong and tantalising scent of blood wafted out clearly, enveloping her senses with an almost unbearable intensity.
Seitenshi paused for a moment, looking at El with a sharp gaze while gulping. Slowly, Seitenshi's right hand reached out, touching the stream of blood flowing from the corner of El's eye.
Her cold fingers felt the warm texture of the liquid, and with a curious gesture, she brought the blood to her lips. The moment the taste of the blood touched his tongue, his eyes widened.
The flavour was far beyond her expectations-rich, powerful, and seductive.
"Sure enough... the blood is different," Seitenshi murmured in a low tone, almost like a whisper to himself.
Her body trembled lightly, her heartbeat racing uncontrollably. The lust he had so painstakingly suppressed earlier began to take hold of her mind again, pushing her to go further.
The look in Seitenshi's eyes changed, that plum-red gleam now sharper, wilder. With a small smile gracing her lips, she gazed at El as if looking at the most delicious meal ever.
"Just a little blood, no problem, right?" she said, trying to convince herself. "Instead of wasting blood because of heavy bleeding, I'd rather make use of it. After all..."
Seitenshi leaned closer, whispering the last sentence in a passionate tone, "This kind of quality can strengthen my body without having to drink a lot of human blood."
