Davina was grateful that Caspian was shielding her mind because she wasn't sure what she would have done if the woman had been able to read her thoughts. It would be pathetic. Although, that also meant, Caspian heard what she thought and understood how she felt... word for word. It made her want to crawl into a hole and hide from society.
"Why didn't you respond when I summoned you?" The woman wrapped her hand around his neck.
Caspian aggressively yanked her hands from his neck, causing the woman to lose her footing and stumble backward a little. "I don't get summoned." His voice came out harsh and cold, devoid of any warmth he had when speaking to Davina earlier.
Unfazed, the woman took a seat next to Caspian, leaning in a little too close to him. "And here I was thinking your bad character had changed a little." She blinked Caspian just looked at her like he was staring at a blank wall.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"You know why I'm here."
