Davina didn't know how many hours had gone by since she was dumped in that cell. There was no window to check what time of day it was and the place was too silent to hear anything. She couldn't even hear the sound of birds chirping in the distance. The sound she heard for hours on end was the sound of her breathing, crying, and the occasional footsteps of the men guarding the door to her cell.
While she lay on the cold concrete floor, the door suddenly opened and two men walked inside to open her cell. "Hold her down." One of the men told the other.
Davina didn't even bother resisting as they tied her arms together and dragged her out of the cell. She had no energy left in her to fight them off and even if she did, she was outnumbered by them.
