Seeing the castle from a different point of view was rather thrilling for Davina. Before she was only allowed to explore a few places as s soldier in training but now that she was Caspian's 'bodyguard' and practically his shadow, she had to follow him everywhere. It was quite tiring, to be frank, the man seemed to always be in the mood.
"You've been complaining since we got here."
Davina forgot the minor detail that he could read her mind. "What do you expect? It's been over an hour and we haven't taken a seat... my legs are tired."
"If you were a soldier is this how you'd complain?"
Davina opened her mouth to argue but she shut it almost instantly. As much as she hated to admit it, he was right... just this once. She could tell he heard what she said because of the satisfactory smirk that rested on his face. "One day I'll wipe that smirk off your face." She thought, knowing fully well he heard it.
