Chapter 83 - Goddess Wushuang!

In the end Mu Yun didn't ask Li Shenrong for help. She had her own pride and ego and didn't want to shamelessly ask for help to someone she had met only few months ago.

"Look why are they crowding there?" Luo Shenghua pointed her fingers toward a certain direction and shouted.

Everyone glanced there curiously and saw a large number of crowd gathered on a small mountain peak.

"Let's go and see." Li Shenrong led the group, climbing upward.

As the group climbed upward they saw a stone statue holding a saber. It held the saber, pointing upward as if wanting to challenge the heaven.

The statue was very short, half the size of a normal human but its arms and legs were very robust. A pair of pointy horn was also protruding out of its forehead. Other than its appearance, there was nothing special about the statue. But anyone could recognise the saber in its hand was extraordinary.

Luo Shenghua and others could hear the discussions of other cultivators around them.

A cultivator who had just arrived asked someone curiously. "Brother, what's going on here?"

"Everyone is trying to obtain the divine saber held by that statue. But no matter what method or technique they used, it wouldn't budge." Someone responded.

"So that's how it is."

"Look its the sect master of the Turtle valley. He is going to try his luck." Everyone glanced at a man in green robe who was flying toward the statue.

"Sect master of the Turtle valley is a Yao cultivator from the West territory. It is rumoured that he has the bloodline of an ancient black tortoise. I don't know if he could succeed or not." Those who recognised the green robed man curiously waiting for the result.

The green robed man shouted as he chanted a mantra. A hundred meter huge turtle in green manifested above him, exuding an extremely ancient breath.

"Tortoise shaking the heaven! A secret art of the Turtle valley." Some recognised the technique and exclaimed.

The huge green turtle grabbed the saber and pulled with all its might. The green robed man roared and utilised his technique to the utmost of what he could but the saber wouldn't budge.

Suddenly a thin light flashed unnoticed by the gaze of many. The saber in the hand of the statue trembled slightly, releasing a saber intent.

The green robed man reacted quickly as his hundred meter long green turtle blocked the incoming saber intent.

Blood splashed along with a miserable scream of the green robed man. The sharp saber intent dissected him completely along with the destruction of his technique.

Everyone drew in a cold breath of air as they glanced at each other with uncertainty. Some gave up the thought of obtaining the saber but stayed behind to watch the show.

After the death of Turtle valley sect master, there was no shortage of cultivator trying their luck. Some tried to connect with the saber, some used alchemy techniques and some even tried knocking the statue away with a Dao sovereign weapon but to no avail. Most of them died but some with real abilities managed to escape.

"What the hell is this statue! Why is it so strong?"

"Let me!" A soft voice sounded. Everyone saw a young girl gently flying toward the statue. Her beauty was absolutely matchless which stunned people to the core. She was like a goddess descending into the mortal world, with beauty that could topple nations and empires. She descended in-front of the statue gracefully, her every movement as delicate as a petal falling in a gentle breeze.

"Look, it's goddess Wushuang!" Someone exclaimed.

"What? Goddess Wushuang? Is it that Wushuang?" A young cultivator's eyes turned wide as he asked.

"How many Wushuang dynasty could there be? There is only one dynasty that dared to claim themselves matchless. The Divine Wushuang Dynasty." An older cultivator who had lived long couldn't help but say.

People took a deep breath of air. The Divine Wushuang Dynasty was an absolute ancient behemoth which groomed three emperors consecutively. One Dynasty with three emperors, how powerful was this? Back in those days, just the name alone would shake the whole Azure Sky World. The Divine Wushuang Dynasty also participated against the great calamity that year and suffered tremendously. After that, it closed off their doors and never appeared since then.

The crowd held its breath, captivated; even the most battle-hardened warriors were left in silent awe.

There was no grand display of techniques or exquisite arts. She grabbed in the air with both hands as her sea of consciousness appeared above her head along with the power of grand Dao.

Her sea of consciousness was like a tidal wave as if wanting to wash away everything along with it. Above the sky, It rolled and churned violently, creating gales that even a Dao sovereign would be blown away.

The crowd below felt an instinctive urge to step back, as if they were witnessing something both awe-inspiring and terrifying.

Within her sea of consciousness, a "Gong" sound echoed as a small pagoda flew out, radiating an ancient and otherworldly aura. The pagoda's doors opened wide, and in that instant, an unending stream of energy poured forth, surging into her with the force of a broken dam.

"This is her grand Dao!" Few knowledgeable and powerful cultivator understood.

"Such strong grand Dao at such young age. I am afraid she is not too far away from stepping into the realm of Demi-god." Someone commented in awe.

"Boom." With a loud sound, goddess Wushuang released her aura. Her delicate and beautiful frame transformed in a goddess of war and slaughter.

"We still underestimate her! She is already a Demi-god." An older cultivator sighed as he watched carefully.

Goddess Wushuang grabbed the statue with one hand and the saber with the other hand. She grunted slightly and pulled.

As soon as she pulled the saber, it glowed with a dim light, releasing a powerful saber intent.

Goddess Wushuang directly used her grand Dao power to block the saber intent.

"Success!" Many people cheered because she had successfully blocked the saber intent. Up until now, no one was able to block a single saber intent.

The small pagoda started rotating more faster as it poured down unending wave of energy.

A second saber intent flashed, wanting to pierce through her chest. This time Goddess Wushuang was barely able to block it. No one noticed a drop of blood appearing at the corner of her mouth.

She didn't give up and was about to try a different method as her Demi-god aura kept ravaging the area of thousands of miles.

All of a sudden she stopped and hastily flew backward. Her gaze became uncertain as she looked at the saber with a slight frown.

"What happened? I thought goddess Wushuang was about to succeed?" Spectators were confused about her sudden withdrawal.
